  1. Great Lord! What was that? She had nearly fallen over at the shock of that abhorred noise! What had the girl done?  It was a near deva ju! This was just a different element. And the results were exceedingly more painful! Her head ached like she had fallen down a flight of stairs and.....she couldn't hear a bloomin' thing! And apparently she had lost the Source in the shock as well. Fear coursed through her veins and she quickly embraced the Source. She sighed in relief that she hadn't been burnt out in that process.

Selene had picked herself up and appeared to be in a similar state of deafness. The novice presented her with a sheet of paper and Jasmyne smiled at her. She wanted to be sure she finished. This girl was very efficient!

The door swung open to admit three Aes Sedai and a handful of curious novices. "What was that? I'm sure the Amyrlin Seat herself heard it in her study!" Jasmyne rushed to find a piece of paper and quickly wrote down something. She curtsied and handed it to the Sister in front, a Gray. She, along the Blue and Green, eyed the note and they all donned the glow of saidar around them. The chill and shock of Healing rushed over her and she suddenly became rather hungry. The three sisters went and Healed Selene and the other girls before coming back to Jasmyne. "So, as I said before, what was that, Accepted?" Jasmyne rubbed her ears and meekly replied. "A novice pulled on a thread of Air too hard, Aes Sedai. Nothing that hasn't been fixed already. I shall continue with the lesson and the novices shall be required to pull their strongest threads first." She said the last bit while eying Selene with a mild scold to her tone. The Aes Sedai just eyed the class over and left the room, the cluster of novices following after them.

"Well, shall we continue on with our lesson. Who's next?" She would have a hard time getting them to do it at all now that they know what can happen if they mess up.

  2. Jasmyne sat by the pond in one of the Tower gardens waiting for her teacher to arrive. Appearantly some of the sisters were worried that she may have some sort of partial block when weaving water. She was sure she was just weak, but the Aes Sedai ALWAYS know best and when the Aes Sedai say jump, you ask how high. Yada yada yada. Not that those thoughts would ever be spoken. She felt at her short hair and recalled what happened last time. Remember Jasmyne, indifferent submission.

She didn't even know who was teaching her. All she knew was that she was fairly young. No idea what Ajah she's in. Great Lord, let it not be a White! She can't stand to be anywhere near Whites! Steps…someone was coming! That must be here teacher. She saw the Red shawl around her shoulders and sighed in relief. She stood and curtseyed as the Red got closer. "Good afternoon, Aes Sedai."

  3. The last class had gone fairly well. Why was she so nervous? Perhaps it was the fact that the girls were going to be picking at her weaves which could have disastrous effects. She could remember what happened when she did this class. Larindhra was so shocked at her ease at pulling on the earth thread that it had snapped away and coated the class in a fine film of sand. Ever since that day, that Green kept pestering her about Earth Singing. How much proof did she need that she could not do whatever it was that she expected her to. Her class arrived and took their seats and all was well. She took a deep breath and began.

"Hello again, girls. Today, we will be learning a bit about the Five Elements, which are Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, and Spirit, but I’m sure you all knew that.” She took a breath and embraced the Source. She took a couple threads of each elements, one a bronze, one a brilliant red, one a dark blue, one an almost clear thread with a hint of light blue, and the last a milky white, and wove them into a sword like shape, made somewhat like a twisted rope. “See, each element is in this weave. What you are going to do is come up to me one by one, identify each element with its color, and then try to pull individual threads out from it. Yes, it will be difficult, especially with Fire and Earth, unless you happen to be strong in Earth like I am. Step on up, don't be shy."

OOC: Write yourself coming to work with Jas. Feel free to write her helping you. Role-play your strong and weak points with pulling it apart. Realize this is not a statement of which element you're strongest with but which comes to you easiest right now. Keep in mind that Fire and Earth will probably be most difficult for you.

Keep in mind what your physical body is doing. Some Aes Sedai, as it says in the books, find physical moments help them with working in the power so perhaps you actually use your hands or maybe you have to think about something to keep your concentration. Realize nothing you do here has to be a serious or long lasting thing but everyone has their little tricks that help them learn. Maybe you have one too?

Give your muscles another work out today as you consider and write what your mind and body do while you work the power. How does the energies react to you? Have fun and be creative!

  4. Melianna was super excited! She got to spend a day with ter'angreal. Mind you there was going to be a novice and a Brown whose name escaped her at this moment, but it was a whole day with her favorite things! She had hardly slept the night before. She "woke up" far before first bell. She busied herself with combing her hair with 700 strokes, washing her face 9 times, and then braiding her hair once. Not her favored Arafellan braids, no. She decided to try the Taraboner style and put in a thousand braids. She was first to the dining hall for breakfast and was nearly done before any 3 people had taken their first bite of roll.

She made a quick stop in the library for some note paper. "Pardon me Aes Sedai." she said panting for breath. "May I have some parchment and a pen? I get to study ter'angreal today!" she said beaming through heavy breaths. The Brown at the desk just smiled and shook her head. "Oh course you may, child. Just be careful down there. Ter'angreal are very dangerous and we wouldn't want you to be stilled." She didn't pay any attention after the word 'may' was said. She had her permission and she was sure she would know what the librarian would say. Nothing she hadn't heard before.

Standing at the top of the designated stairwell, she bounced on her heels in the most impatient manner. They should have been here hours ago! She had only been there three minutes, but they should have been there! She peered up and down the hall both ways and no one was coming. She looked down the stairs, then back down the halls again. Someone was coming! Hooray!

  5. Melianna absently wandered the halls of the White Tower. It was a freeday and she didn't have to do a thing. And with Melianna, free time equals daydreaming! As anyone would expect, ter'angreal were on her mind in the worst way. As she imagined their shapes, uses, and anything she could think of about, she recived a sudden urge to be near one,  touch one, use one. The Aes Sedai didn't let her use anything that they didn't know the function of, but she wanted to try new ones.  Ones that the Aes Sedai didn't use.

She might need help, but from who. None of the Accepted she knew would take time to study ter'angreal with her, and the novices knew of her reputation enough to not go along. Her finger tapped against her lips in thought. Who to take. She passed by a window into the Warder's Yard and stopped to look out. A Tower Guard? They wouldn't know her reputation and would do a little ole' Accepted a favor for sure. She took off running down the stairs to go to the Yard.

She spied a young man nearby to the door she came from and eyed him up. He wasn't very tall, in fact she thought she was taller than he. He had all the markings of an Andoran and from his apparel, he was a Tower Guard. Perfect. She waited for him to get closer then tried to get his attention. "Pssst! You, come here please!"

  6. A sliver of light opened into a Gateway in the lower floors of the basement of the Fortress. A man dressed in black contrasting his pale blonde, shoulder-length hair stepped through and roughly pulled another man behind him. The poor man was in fine clothes and had a merry belly that jiggled as he pleaded for mercy. A Murandian and a Darkfriend. A Darkfriend that failed horribly. Normally such cases were dealt with by immediate death, but there were other uses for this portly fool.

Tigara drug him down a full flight of stairs and entered into a empty room. It was not small, but not large either. But it was solid and deep down and soundproof. There would be screaming. The man was forced into a sitting position and bound with air to stay like that. It was an amusing sight to see a fat man sitting without a chair. Highly amusing.

They told him that this Arcon showed much potential in Spirit, as much as Tig did himself. He knew a few tricks with Spirit and he could certainly teach this one some of them. Not all of them for sure, but some. He was supposed to be here anytime now. That must be him now, he thought as the doorknob twisted.

  7. OOC: Fixed! ;D

    IC:

Ikki jumped as someone sat down beside him. He was tense! It was an Asha'man! He didn't remember seeing this one before, but the man was quick enough to introduce himself. Friendly people were always the best kind!

"You are the one I always see doing laps, right?"

Ikki blushed and scratched his neck as the comment. "Yeah, that's me. The dumb thing is that it hasn't helped me a bit. I'm Ikkiliad, but please, call me Ikki." Ikkiliad was his old self. The boy who sat indoors all day in his parent's manor house reading books on history, never bothering to go outside as long as he had something to read. Ikkiliad was no more. "Tell me, Asha'man Sereth. Does the girl playing flute seem…odd to you? She looks almost familiar, but I don't think I've seen her before." A thought struck him. Light, he can't be going mad yet, can he?

  8. Had she been more observant, Heather would have noticed that Saira was uncomfortable. However, she was just slightly 'blonde' and did not notice these things.

"What? Oh thanks, i will. Heh, i'm okay i guess, only the merchant in me can't help but wonder how much this all costs. But enough about hopeless little me, how're you?"

Heather just smiled as she replied. "That's great! I'm doing super. I love festivals and this one is really great!" She looked around the room and suddenly perked up. "C'mon Saira, let's go find some men to dance with!" She grabbed the girl's arm and pulled her onto the dance floor.

  9. Hmmm. Heather pondered. She was feeling...hungry! It seemed like a good time to go have her mid-morning snack, so she started to meander over toward the kitchen. On her way there, she saw a duo over by a fence.  Saira and someone else...who was that? She edged closer and saw that it was a little person. A familiar little girl. Oh, she was the girl in the stables! What was her name again? B.J.? No. T.K.? No, not that either. A.D.! That's her! She merrily meandered over to the pair.

"Hey guys! What are you up to? Mind if I join you?" she asked in her perky demeanor. Her snack could wait. She was always up for something fun, even if it didn't necessarily mean she was fed well.

  10. Ikki slumped down in the chair, panting heavily. This whole Tower was determined to make him fit. The way to do it? Running. Every day, as long as he had "free time" and it was still light out, they had him running laps. They wouldn't admit that he wasn't made for this. He was making absolutely no progress and by night, he would always collapse in the inn and drink for a good hour. What had his life become?

He brightened up as Helina came down the stairs. He always enjoyed her singing, but this time she had someone else with her. Another rather pretty girl with similar hair and shape and everything! Maybe she had a sister! The new girl played a harp and a flute while Helina sang. It was beautiful really. But something wasn't right.

He didn't know what it was, but that girl was just vaguely familiar. He couldn't place her, but she looked familiar. Something tickled at the back of his head and he hated that feeling. he was always tense when he had that funny feeling.
