  1. Miller & Chubb is going to be hell on offenses. I like the receivers the Broncos got as well. I heard a lot of stuff that Elway liked Rosen but after signing Keenum and with Chubb dangling there at #5, I would’ve done the same.

Browns did do better in second round. Some of their later picks have high star/bust potential tho. Time will tell.

Looking like the Giants are truly commiting to balance on offense. Barkley, Solder, Hernandez all together should improve the run game and potentially give OBJ more room to operate.

Bears had good draft too IMO. If Trubisky grows as a QB they could be decent.

Lions did okay, I think. I'm reading the "experts" think they stretched for a DB but I'm hoping my old high school teammate can coach him up(or just sees something they missed).

Yeah, the Bears definitely did well. Smith is a solid LB and I like the two receivers they got to give Mitch some more weapons.

I’d need to look at the Lion’s haul to give better input but Ragnow in the first was a solid pick. Dude is a road grater and you can never go wrong building from the inside-out imo.

Hernandez on the Giants is gonna be a bully. I know a lot of guys from a Cowboys forum I lurk wanted him at #19. Not really looking forward to seeing him and Barkley twice a year now, especially since Dallas isn’t particularly strong up the middle.

And the Browns pull a Browns with their two picks?

Mayfield and Ward??? Probably could have gotten Ward a little later if they could have found a trading partner. I hope they do better in round two. Good thing they traded for Taylor, LOL.

Bills did pretty well value wise with their picks I think. I'm not really sold on Allen tho. I guess we will see.

If you are Joe Flacco, how you feeling this morning?

Rosen probably couldn't have found a better landing space than Arizona.

Pretty  happy with Lions drafting O line. Not exciting but I think it was needed.

Who didn't get picked that you expected to in round 1?

Landry and maybe Guice. Some of the OLs that went early in R2 as well.

I would say to wait for the Browns to take the field to see what happens, but yeah, on its face taking Ward over Chubb and Mayfield at #1 seems to be only something the Browns could do. I’m actually a bit surprised that the Giants took Barkley with Eli turning 37 this year but I guess they like their backup.

Totally agree about Rosen to the Cards. He was the best pro passer in this class imo. Darnold is the better overall athlete but Rosen’s arm is silky smooth. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Josh Allen doesn’t pan out. Could be a matter of having subpar teammates at Wyoming but having a career sub 60% completion rating isn’t a good look.

Overall it was an interesting draft. Not a ton of top tier talent in R1 but I thought everything from R2-4 was really deep. A lot of teams look well improved coming out of it, at least on paper.

I've been seeing a lot of media types speculating that Dez would be a perfect fit in Buffalo. All I can say is please no. He's declining as a player, and he's too much of a locker room cancer and a showboat. We went through this once before with Terrell Owens and I don't have any desire to repeat it.

    Funny enough, so did Dallas.

I’d think the Ravens could be a potential team. Dez and Crabtree as their new WRs would be a huge upgrade to anything they’ve had in a while.

  5. The team didn’t get better talent wise by cutting him, but maybe the locker room improved?

Dez has been on the decline for the last 3 seasons. Whether that’s him, Romo no longer being the QB, or a combo of both is yet to be seen. He’ll play for someone this year, that much is for sure.

Pats deal B. Cooks and a 4th rounder to Rams for first(#23) and 6th round picks.

Pats win this one I think.

Yeah. They got their investment back from last year. Now they’ve got two late 1Rs - the perfect spot to grab some new starting OTs.

    How bout them Rams tho

I keep waiting for them to make a big draft move; McCarron will make a good caretaker QB but isn't a long-term answer.  Overall, I'm finding their offseason approach a little baffling. They're coming off a season with their first playoff trip this century. Rather than building on that success, they've dumped a coordinator and the starting QB (after the best season of his career), and are working on dismantling the team that achieved all this.

I thought maybe trading for those extra picks was to move up but perhaps they are just stock piling to draft kids McDermott wants in his system?

  8. I guess if I had to pick an AFC team, it’d be the Chargers?

I've lived in San Diego since 2009 and while the team was still here, watching the games in a packed Charger bar was always a good time. I also have tremendous respect for Rivers.

So wait, you're gonna abandon the Raiders?

You think the Bills are gonna trade up? I had a thought that perhaps the Jets pulled the trigger so soon to get a leg up on a division rival.

  10. The Jets have got to be thinking franchise QB with that move but man, they’re giving up the farm to do it. Hope it works out lol

I figured the Colts would be the team to trade back. Maybe the Browns might sell their #4 to the Bills for their three (?) firsts.

  11. Rosen is the most NFL ready imo. It all depends on what teams they go to and what sort of supporting cast/coaching they get, etc etc but just arm talent and experience wise I think Rosen is the most prepared.

Suh will get a League minimum contract somewhere I’m sure. Kaep is finished. Eric Reid (as in Ed Reid’s lil bro) can’t even get a job after taking a knee with Kaep and he’s a way better football player.

  12. Buffalo signed McCarron to a two year deal yesterday so that maybe puts QB as a ~lower priority or he’s play the bridge guy for the next one or two years similar to Taylor in Cleveland. If someone wants to trade up, the Bills have the capital.

Fitzpatrick and Chubb and the CB Ward from Ohio State are the consensus top defenders from everything I’ve heard or read. There’s a few other guys with high first round grades at LB, DT and S. All of those are needs for Dallas so I am keeping my fingers crossed someone falls.

Cleveland could take Nelson at #4 if the Giants don’t grab him first. He’s a beast and apparently could slide outside if really needed. I think Orlando Bloom from OU was the consensus top tackle going into the combine before he blew it, so now I don’t think there’s really any for sure franchise OT like most years. Cleveland has the #33 pick so they might wait to grab a guy in the second when the value is better.

  13. I would think it makes it less of a priority for teams like the Broncos who will now have 4 QBs on the roster after signing Keenum.

I’d think maybe the Jets are happy with Bridgewater as well for now since they resigned McCown for insurance.

I think the Bills aiming to trade up into the top 3-4 is definitely a thing. The Colts probably don’t want a QB and sliding back to get more picks in the first might be the better option. They’ve got a lot of spots to fill.

I still think Cleveland takes a QB to learn behind Taylor this year and then take over in 2019.

The interesting part comes from which teams with aging QBs maybe pull the trigger this year to grab their replacement guy? Namely the Pats, Cards (Bradford isn’t the long term solution), Chargers and Saints.

With several of the top 10 teams getting their QBs it makes me wonder what’ll be left at 19 when my Cowboys pick. I was hoping there’d be a spree of QBs coming off the board early and maybe some talented defenders would slide but that seems less likely now.

I like what the Browns did. I don't really know what the "experts" dislike about Taylor. If I were a Browns fan I would be very disappointed if they don't take Barkley first. I would even consider not taking a QB at 4 and helping fill a different need. Maybe even trade down.

I agree. Taylor is a serviceable guy, and with Landry coming onboard he’ll have good targets to throw to as well. Barkley is hands down the #1 pick imo. That’d be a pretty good offense if they could get all those guys on the field together. I still think they go QB at #4 but then again, who knows? Depends on who is on the board or if anyone trades up to #2-3, etc. I haven’t read anything to indicate any way the Browns might be leaning on the QBs and I’d say Barkley is about as close to a lock as it gets imo.

  15. Richard Sherman is headed to play ball near his alma mater. The 9ers signed him to a 3 year deal for some $39mil. Apparently it’s very incentive laden in case Sherman isn’t the player he used to be post-Achilles injury.

  16. Jarvis Landry from the Dolphins is being traded to Cleveland for one 2018 & 19 draft picks. Reportedly none of those picks are higher than a 3rd. Tyrod Taylor was acquired for a 2018 3rd. CB Damarious Randall from Green Bay for QB Kizer. Three trades in one day that address some good needs. I have a feeling they are going to draft Barkley #1 overall (duh) and then pick up their choice of QB from whoever is left at #4 to sit and develop behind Taylor.

Looks like hiring Costner is finally paying off for the Browns.

Our running game last year was sick.

Ridiculously. And the RBs just keep committing lol. Next year it’ll be some combo of Zaire, Swift and Holyfield with a year older Fromm and a year bigger Oline. Nasty.

  18. Not the best Marvel movie by a long shot which makes it sort of funny that it’s like the highest grossing film ever. Marvel Studios committed highway robbery with this one.

None of the backstory movies have been that great imo minus maybe Ironman and Cap. From a fan perspective I wish they’d stick to the Avenger series only but I understand it’s all about money and people all across the world are willing to shell it out, so we’ll continue getting these subpar origin story movies and the rich will continue getting richer.

I'd be the happiest guy in the world if I can buy a Patriots Nick Chubb jersey in May.

I’d be happy to see him go to a structured, winning organization like that. He’s a class act.
