I'm gonna wait for it to come out on netflix or whatever

Like Marvel, Lucasfilm is going to have to make a special effort to get my money at the theater from here on out.

    I rented it from Redbox.

  2. Well, you're not wrong either.

I think UGA has a better chance with Kirby as the head coach than they did with CMR, but I don't think this year is that year. They've got a lot of young talent to develop though, so they'll be contending regardless.

This is arguably the greatest Bama team to set foot on the field, and I really don't see anyone beating them regardless of how the playoff shapes up. I think they're pretty much a lock to win it all, once again.

  3. I’d agree that Solo and Rogue One are better than (both now) of the main sequels. Like Ty said it’s got its cheesy moments but the actor who plays young Han did well with the sort of swagger/quippiness you’d expect after Ford.

If you like Star Wars, I’d recommend watching it despite the critics.

  4. All things College Football here. We’ve got an NFL discussion thread, but personally I’m more into the college games since the dudes are still playing for a shot at the pros.

So who is your squad? Who is your most hated rival school?

Do you prefer to old style BCS selection for bowls or do you like the new playoff format? Should the playoff be expanded?

    Conference realignment?

    Heisman hopeful?

    Who wins the Natty?

Any top recruits coming in or prospects heading to the NFL that you’re excited about?

Also...worried about the Fhiefs....Chargers have looked good...would love to see Rivers get his.

Steelers are my dark horse if you will.

I had the Jags as my AFC SB pick ffs pre season....

    Rams vs Steelers

Steelers exp too much for the Rams who are about to become the early 90s Cowboys starting the next year.

Can't disagree about Rivers getting his. They've got a nice squad too. I think the Chargers and Steelers are the wildcards in the AFC (the Ravens if the Steelers end up winning the division - but I think it's between those two for the North)

A Steelers team with Bell could pull that off, probably. I still think the Pats probably end up winning the AFC (again) unless they have to travel in the playoffs.

I do believe that the Browns may have finally found their franchise QB. That, along with a decent running game, wide receivers, and a good defense has made them a team that will be very competitive against just about anyone they play.

The Chiefs and the Rams are looking very impressive. Although I'm a die-hard Steelers fan, I wouldn't be surprised to see this year's Super Bowl be between the Rams and the Chiefs.

Baker is definitely playing well but I wouldn’t call him a franchise QB yet, at least not for a few seasons to see how he develops. All the rookie QBs are playing well, really. Makes you wonder if the Giants are still happy about having Saquon.

If things continue as they have, I would agree there’s a good chance at that. I don’t think there’s really anyone in the NFC to challenge the Rams except maybe the Saints or Viks. The Chiefs defense needs to get better though. If a team can stop them a drive or two or force some turnovers that could be curtains for their season. I think it’s between them and the perennial favorites in the AFC.

I'm sad to see the Falcons are dropping a lot of turds all over this season.

Adam Thielen continues his effort to prove the most underrated top wide receiver in the NFL.

Waiting to see if Kamara and Ingram can form a platonic working relationship

Imagining what Saquon could do with a competent team.

Falcons have been a disappointment to say the least, among many other teams. Before the season I was talking about how tough the NFC looked from top to bottom but now...

  8. I can step out so SD can play.

I'll probably be garbage anyway, haven't done any research and I'll be wrapped up pretty heavily with school this fall. I'm taking three online courses and retaking a lecture period that kicked my @$$ the last time I took it (and failed).

So... count me out. Sorry bros

  9. Super Bowl predictions???

Or if you’re not feeling so confident, Division winners + wild card teams?

I’ll go out on a limb:

    1) The Chargers win the AFC West this season. 2) The Rams either make the big game or implode brilliantly.

    3) The NFC will have more teams with winning records sitting out of the playoffs than the AFC.

  10. England vs Belgium was a really good match. I wouldn’t be surprised if both of those teams go deep.

My wife is Brazilian, so I rock yellow/green but I don’t think they’re good enough to win it all.

  11. Enjoyed the movie.

Completely agree there’s no way Marvel is giving up on future revenues by killing off Spidey, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, etc. The theory that they’re locked into the soul stone is interesting - but yeah, I’ve already assumed somehow, someway they are going to reverse it and everyone comes back that died in the ‘snap’. I do think some characters will die permanently, though, before the reversal in the next addition. It’s more speculation based on MCU contracts but there’s some canon backing to allow for Captain or Ironman to die and their namesake to continue.

Thor is becoming a real BA. I’ve really enjoyed his character and others’ banter in Ragnarok (with Hulk) and now IW with Starlord.

My son’s favorite part was when Spidey got his new upgraded suit (he’s five and SM is his favorite lol)

I like Sutton's sticky hands. Keenum throws a lot of 50/50 balls out there, and Sutton looks like he's good at grabbing those.

Rosen will probably turn into a good quarterback, but yeah, I think they had to take Chubb. That was pretty much the consensus on the Broncos' SB Nation blog, anyway.

St. Brown has some nice traits too. That’ll be a nice pair of big WRs out on the edge once they develop.
