This is true to a point. It is good to consider possibilities but I think at the end at least most of the time, you need to show which side of the fence you are on even if its just leaning. (Sure there will be the odd "I just don't fluffing know" moments, but those should be the exception, not the rule). I gotta say though the "I can't wait to be a wolf" lines come off as false to me. The MOD CONFIRMED THE MENTALIST ABILITY WAS USED BY REMOVING IT FROM THE GAME. No one cc'd being the Mentalist. Therefore, Darthe is the Mentalist. So now we have the following options. 1. Darthe's claim is true and his read was true, meaning either SD or Turin is mafia (hint: it's SD) 2. Darthe's claim is true but his results are not. In this case, there is nothing to see here except how people react to the claim. 3. Darthe is lying about his results. It would be high Derf level play to use the ability on someone randomly just to get the MOD confirmation and then make up the result to send town on wild goose chase as several of the more vocal people have expressed vigorous opinions on both of SD and Turin. In this case Darthe is the mafia and is hoping he can use his mafia skills to twist enough to win before he is caught. I doubt this is the case, but this is Darthe, so... I dunno.6

I'm pretty sure a symp (lost wolf) shows as town on investigation checks so I don't think this is true. The role states they are town that win with mafia. I guess I could be wrong, but I don't think so in this case. I don't really see how Mentalist has wolf utility. I mean it takes it away from town use, and as we have seen, the role itself is self confirming. It could be just an easy place to allow a wolf to hide and guarantee a town lynch before the eyes and pitchforks get turned on the Mentalist. Throw in extra kills and it could run the clock. Now I'm doubting myself. Stupid pirate and his tricksy game. I still think SD is a Wolf though.

I don't understand your take here Heavy. Giving background to help understand his perspective is very reasonable. Now he could well be telling a story to appear more town like and it would be fine to disbelieve him. Your take that he is too verbose in explaining is weird. I have no idea who I could have been bussed with. I will explain my perspective. I know I'm town. If Darthe is telling the truth of what he got as a result AND you are town (which I doubt) then something must have happened to affect his result. The only reasonable thing would be for one of us to have been driven. You say you are confident it wasnt you for some.reason. fair enough. That means it must have been me that got driven with a mafia person to protectthem from cop views. The way bus driver works is any action that would be taken on me is taken on the other person. So if I was driven and so.eone tried to cop me, the action would go to another player. The person would not actually visit me at all. So no it doesn't affect alignment but it can affect results. Example: Dice tries to Cop Turin Busdriver switches Turin and Berf (random) Dice gets result from Berf, but thinks it is for Turin Does that make sense?

SD was my pick for mafia yesterday. I'm still wanting him resolved if possible. I'm town so simplest solution is he's mafia. If he's not then something must have happened to Darthe or he just lied, which I don't think is likely. I was doubting Heavy's claim but it was accurate so I'm leaning town there mostly because there doesn't seem to be any real mafia killing roles other than the gunsmith recipient and that kill is.in day so I don't know if Apportioner would even work. Shad's insistence of SD innocence is pinging. TMI leading to being right orjust straight trying to carry a teammate I'm not sure. Starting to think the latter. Ed slanking is worrying. Do we have time to deal with that? I'm not sure. Peace being a bit obtuse feels off. Would prefer to lunch SD and see where that leads.

Reasonable ones though. Necromancer was definitely a permanent role. In the OP it states it is not passed along. The Cop and Doc roles were both listed as pass along. In the sign up thread it states that only one pass along role can be used each night. Nothing is mentioned about if permanent roles are affected. Dice definitely revived Heavy. This is mod confirmed. Therefore he used the Necromancer ability. The flavour indicates to me that he died by visiting the siren. So logically he used a pass along ability as well. I can't think of any other way to explain Dice dying. But go ahead, theorise.

I might have quoted these backwards but here you go Necro was a permanent role. The others were pass along. He could use one of each.

I looked for the rules about using mtiple roles. It's not in the game OP (at least I didn't see it), but I. The sign up thread it says a player can only use one "pass along" role per night. So, since necro was a "permanent " role he could use it and one of either cop or doc. Had a moment there.

I'm saying of the permanent roles that I assume are 1x shots, the most likely ones to be mafia based just on mechanics would be governor and necromancer. Based on play and my own belief that Teph was likely mafia as hot potato basically equals flavored RB, Leelou could have stopped the lunch, Dice could have brought him back. They did neither. That leads to another question though, if Dice necro'd Heavy, how did he die? He shouldn't have been able to use more than 1 action per night according to the rules. I need to check.

Unlikely. First as symp he would already know all alignments. The symp knows the mafia but they don't know him. The role would be redundant. I guess it is POSSIBLE. Of all the 1x roles I would think the most likely to be symp would be Governor. Maybe Necromancer.

I think that like you he was given a non passing role. One which I think would not be given to a mafia player. It is pretty much confirmed that he is the Mentalist based on the role was removed, and no one cc'd him. Therefore, imo he is town. Now a symp is technically town, but I don't see that happening in this case. Mentalist was a 1x investigation. I don't see that being put in a anti Town place. Possible, not likely imo.

Ive just been catching up after a #godawfulnightatwork. Probably should have been drinking, but whatevs. Darthe is confirmed as the Mentalist based upon the OP showing the role removed. Mentalist was not a passing role so I think that also confirms him as town. Heavy having been the Apportioner basically confirms him as town for the same reason. I don't see a world where those non pass roles are given to mafia. Gud claimed she had the cop on N0, and her post about Christmas is her claiming to send that to Dice imo. Dice got it so that checks out. I think that clears Gudrean. Same for Ithi with the Doc, based on her own statements. Leelou had another non pass role that looks townie and it appears she's killed by mafia. Not certain but that is the most likely scenario imo. Dice ironically is not cleared because he only received roles from others, and exactly what happened last night is unclear. There is a busdriver and since I know I'm town (SD could well be mafia, i certainlyhave my suspicions) there exists a possibility of me being driven somewhere else. So that gives us a good town core.
