We'll go with that then Here's your story update after choosing Option 4: Speak to Nyra, asking what she remembers of her growth—what she's becoming. Time Update Late Night, Day 16 Location: Heart of the Elements – Convergence Realm Subzone: Ashen Bastion, Memory Spiral The ash spiral settles into silence, but you remain still—turning toward Nyra. She watches you without expression at first, her emberlit eyes reflecting the swirl of your recorded vow. Her form is almost fully humanoid now—elegant, shifting between spirit-light and elemental shimmer. You ask softly: "Nyra... do you remember where you came from? What you're becoming?" She blinks, and the ash wind curls tighter around her feet. Then she speaks—not with the voice of a flickerling, but something older, more rooted. “I was a spark born of Spirit, grown in Water, shaped by Fire. You gave me a name. That made me real. But I am not only your companion.” She raises a hand. A halo of silver-blue flame arcs behind her as memories crackle faintly into form. “I remember standing by your side in the Temple of Still Waters. I remember the searing oath at the Ashen Spire. I remember wind singing through us in Skyreach, and earth opening beneath our feet in the Verdant Hollow. I am... becoming the bridge between these things.” Her voice tightens into focus. “I think I was meant to merge with something ancient. Maybe a lost elemental guardian. Maybe something more. But not as a servant. As a partner.” You see now: her body hums with energy not fully of this plane. Spirit-laced fire, mist-framed wind, glowing earth veins beneath translucent skin. Nyra steps closer. “And you... bearer of the Unified Bond. We are mirrors now. I grow because you did not run. Whatever happens next, I will not break away. Even if the cost is my shape, my self— I choose to stay.” The Codex pulses once. Elemental Companion Bond Deepened Nyra now counts as a full elemental conduit. Once per day, you may channel her form into a spell or defense, gaining: +2 to the dominant element used in that spell (until end of round) Immunity to that element’s secondary effects (burn, slow, tremor, etc.) Nyra's evolved form now reacts to Fusion casting, increasing visual and emotional resonance. You feel her presence stabilize—shimmering beside you, neither bound nor separate. Current Stats: HP: 27 / 27 EP: 22 / 22 Elemental Strengths: Water: 13 Fire: 11 Spirit: 13 Air: 10 (+1 from Whispermantle Cloak) Earth: 12 New Passive: Nyra, Elemental Companion (Evolved Form) Channel once/day for bonus spellcasting effects. Emotion-linked resonance during Weave Fusion casts. Grants subtle protective effects during deep elemental interactions. Next Choices: Enter the final chamber of the Convergence Realm—vows complete, path ready. Use Weave Fusion to craft a powerful new tri-element spell. (Weave Fusion ready) Ask Nyra if she senses anything beyond this place—warnings, paths, or threats. Call on the Codex, asking if it now recognizes Nyra as part of your bond. Take a moment to reflect, restoring focus before the final step. -

We definitely were here Time Update Nightfall, Day 16 Location: Heart of the Elements – Convergence Realm Subzone: Ashen Bastion, Memory Spiral You chose: Record one of your own choices into the spiral—offer your own memory as a vow. You step into the center of the ash spiral. The warmth radiating from the stone feels neither hostile nor inviting—just expectant. Waiting for truth, not heroism. Nyra watches silently from the edge, her eyes glowing faintly. You lower your hand to the scorched heart of the spiral, feeling the Codex pulse beneath your skin. The ash seems to breathe in time with you. And you speak—not loudly, but with certainty. “I chose to shape what was never meant to be shaped. I took Water, Fire, and Spirit—opposing tides—and forged the Veilbrand Surge. Not because I could… but because I had to. I changed the rules, knowing it might destroy me. I do not regret it. I offer that risk, that breaking of bounds, as my vow.” There’s a hush. Then: a flare of white flame—not hot, but soul-deep—spirals around your fingers. The ash drinks your words and etches them into its center in a glow of spectral light. Your vow now lives among the others. And in the back of your mind, the Codex confirms what the flame hinted at: Vow Etched – Memory of Fusion: Your use of Weave Fusion has evolved. Fusion spells now generate 1 EP on cast and gain a 15% chance to Echo, allowing them to be recast without cost in the following round. Emotional imprint increases Spirit Weave effectiveness on targets affected by Veilbrand Surge. Nyra steps forward, placing a hand on your shoulder. No words. Just quiet affirmation. The spiral dims again, your vow joining the rest—another choice burned into the heart of the world. Current Stats: HP: 27 / 27 EP: 22 / 22 Spirit: 13 Water: 13 Air: 10 Earth: 12 Fire: 11 Next Choices: Continue onward into the final chamber of the Convergence Realm. Use the Remnant Core to craft a new Fusion Spell (Weave Fusion refreshed). Open your Codex to view the latest changes. Ask Nyra how she feels standing here—if she remembers anything from before the Flicker Seed. Rest here, taking a moment of silence before whatever comes next. -

Just the one vote so far. But DM was being temperamental yesterday -
It might just be cos it's the weekend and people are still having a moment after the last game. Key might play if it starts after the 12th? And Berf might play again.

Hi Bodewhin. Welcome to Dragonmount. It's lovely to have you here. If you want to chat to Wheel of Time people you have come to the right place. We have discussions about the books and also about the TV show. The TV shows can be a bit wild wild west but it's all mostly good natured. I've even posted in there myself. If you feel like joining our community, we also have our Orgs. There's the White Tower, where you can become and Aes Sedai or Warder. It's not heavy RP or anything. More hanging out, chatting and a few games. We also have Shayol Ghul and the Band. Joining Orgs also opens up more Boards. Our Mafia games are having a resurgence. Although they can seem a bit argumentative at first, playing Mafia Games can be a great way to make a great group of friends. There will always be people willing to let you ride along with them in a game... or coach you if you want to play. There's a general Choose your Own adventure on the general Games boars. All you have to do is go to the last update post and vote. And we've even started a DnD game. This is on the Warder Board but you're welcome to read along. I also make signatures, if that's something you might like. Ithi 💙

Let's check what she sees Time Update Evening, Day 16 Location: Heart of the Elements – Convergence Realm Subzone: Ashen Bastion, Outer Threshold You chose: Ask Nyra what she sees written in the ash spiral—what those glyphs say. Nyra remains kneeling, her fingers lightly tracing the ash-coated stone. You crouch beside her, watching as faint glyphs shimmer beneath her touch—ancient, elegant, and fragmented. Words meant to be felt more than read. She speaks slowly, translating their meaning as if from memory rather than logic: “These are not sentences. They're decisions. Each one is a memory someone offered—burned into this realm like promises made in fire.” “Here,” she points, “this one says: I gave up vengeance so my son would not carry it.” She moves to the next: “I forgave her, though she would never ask me to.” And another: “I turned away from the mirror before it told me I was the villain.” Nyra exhales, blinking rapidly. “These are what the trial accepts. Not confessions… sacrifices. Each one is a choice to break a cycle.” She brushes her hand along the spiral’s center, where the ash deepens into a charred depression. “The one in the center is older. It reads: I chose to remember.” You feel the Codex stir again, and when you touch your satchel, its spine is warm. The glyphs are resonating with your journey. Memory Spiral - Passive Insight Gained: Your Spirit Weaves now carry an emotional echo. When casting a Spirit-based spell on another creature, there is a 25% chance it will surface a hidden memory or suppressed emotion. This can reveal secrets, weaken emotional wards, or grant you leverage in tense interactions. Nyra whispers one last thought as she stands: “They didn’t win because they had power. They won because they let go.” Current Stats: HP: 27 / 27 EP: 22 / 22 Spirit Level: 13 Air: 10 Earth: 12 Water: 13 Fire: 11 Next Choices: Continue onward—deeper into the final chamber of the Convergence Realm. Use the Remnant Core to craft a new Fusion Spell. Open your Codex and see what new entry has appeared. Meditate here among the memories with Nyra and reflect. Record one of your own choices into the spiral—offer your own memory as a vow. -

I think we all maybe not so old. I remember text only games and having to turn the cassette over to finish installing lol Ok let's talk to Nyra... in a brief moment of DM life lol Time Update Evening, Day 16 Location: Heart of the Elements – Convergence Realm Subzone: Ashen Bastion, Outer Threshold You chose: Speak with Nyra—she seems affected by this place in ways she's not voicing. You turn to Nyra, still standing at the edge of the spiral. Her posture is tense—shoulders drawn, eyes shimmering with shifting color as if reflecting more than light. “You feel it too, don’t you?” you ask quietly. She looks up, startled, then sighs, her gaze settling on the dim horizon. “I do,” she says. “This place remembers pain… and mercy. I thought I understood what we were doing, guiding the elements into balance. But this... this is where memories turn into anchors.” She kneels where the ash spiral began, her hand brushing faint etchings in the stone beneath. Shapes. Glyphs. Memories encoded in language only her kind can interpret. “These aren’t just echoes. They’re burdens left behind by those who couldn’t carry them anymore. That’s what this realm tests—not power. Not control. Willingness. The choice to carry pain and not let it consume you.” She pauses, then adds, softly: “If I fall here… don’t anchor me. Let me go. You’ve already carried too much.” You step forward, placing a hand gently on her shoulder. “You're not falling, Nyra. You’re rising—with me. We walk this together.” The Codex stirs. From its pages, a single glyph pulses, then fades—acknowledgment of your bond, of the truth shared. Nyra nods, tears not shed but understood. Nyra’s Bond Deepens Nyra’s Trust: Complete. In moments of dire choice, she will now act without hesitation to protect you or uphold your shared vow. Her elemental resonance with Spirit has increased. Spirit-linked spells may now reflect her will, not just yours. Updated Stats: EP: 22 / 22 HP: 27 / 27 Spirit Level: 13 Bond Trait Gained: Shared Will – When casting a Spirit spell, roll with Advantage if Nyra is actively supporting or present. Next Choices: Continue onward—the final chamber of the Convergence Realm awaits. Use the Remnant Core to craft a Spirit-Fire or Spirit-Earth Fusion spell. Ask Nyra what she sees written in the ash spiral—what those glyphs say. Rest briefly, meditate together with Nyra and strengthen your unified bond. Open your Codex, now that both your bond and the Remnant Core are aligned. -

We are all nice. If we weren't we wouldn't be able to play this game. It would be too hard if you thought people were really out to get you. This game was particularly excellent mood wise. Although I might have my Town Tinted glasses on cos I didn't get any real heat at all 🙂 I think the curse has been broken 💙 -
Oh well mine are not copies or trying to rob. I just need a tune for my words. Just for fun and story content 🙂

More loot searching! Time Update Evening, Day 16 Location: Heart of the Elements – Convergence Realm Subzone: Burning Remnant Gate (Post-Trial Zone) You chose: Examine the trail of ash left by the echo. As the last motes of the redeemed flame echo drift across the Bastion’s edge, you step through the shimmer and walk the path of ash they left behind. The trail isn’t random—it spirals inward, curling like the memory of a flame that once raged but now flickers in quiet reflection. At its heart lies a fragment of scorched obsidian, softly pulsing with emberlight. You kneel beside it. Your Codex glows in response. Insight + Spirit Affinity: Success This is no mere shard. It is the Remnant Core—what remained of the bearer’s soul, stabilized by your mercy. You gently lift it. The heat doesn’t burn. It warms. 📘 Item Gained: Remnant Core (Unique – Bound to Spirit) Passive Effect: When equipped, increases EP regeneration by +1/day and enhances any spell involving redemption, memory, or spiritual connection. Resonant Link: If used with Veilbrand Surge or Flame of Remembrance, it empowers the spell, bypassing magical resistance and restoring 1 EP on cast. As you stand, Nyra joins you. Her expression is unreadable, thoughtful. “That soul… didn’t burn out. You helped it remember who it was. Maybe that’s all any of us are trying to do.” She touches the Core, and a whisper echoes faintly through your Codex: “Ash to ember. Ember to bond.” The Bastion dims behind you, its purpose fulfilled. Updated Stats: EP: 22 / 22 (+1/day regen from Remnant Core) Inventory Updated: Remnant Core (Unique – Spirit-linked) Elemental Levels: Water: 13 Fire: 11 Spirit: 13 Air: 10 Earth: 12 Fusion Spell Ready: Embergrace Bastion Passives: Ashen Requiem Flame of Remembrance (1/day) Remnant Core (Spirit focus, memory-enhancing) Next Choices: Continue onward into the final chamber of the Convergence Realm. Speak with Nyra—she seems affected by this place in ways she's not voicing. Open your Codex, see how it responds to the Core’s presence. Rest briefly, meditating on what the Remnant taught you. Craft a new Fusion spell, now that your Spirit, Fire, and Earth are more attuned. -
Yeah I do try and write the lyrics cos sometimes it goes a bit Skynet lol But it is fun for those who have words but no good musical skills.

Modding is actually a great way to learn to see everything from the outside. So when you back on the inside you have that bit of shield from the shenanigans. You should def work with someone and mod a game @HeavyHalfMoonBlade You only have to ask around a little to find out what batpoop crazy Ithi was like before she modded a few games lol -
