You're misunderstanding what I'm saying. I know that the Doc would protect against a NK. I don't know why mafia would RB and try to use their NK on one role. The strongarm kill would've done the trick but they obviously didn't use that as he's still here.

I can understand that but it still doesn't sit right with me. It's not smart to NK someone you can block, especially when the claim is so controversial But by killing the useless cop, it gives us information. Right now we are no closer to knowing who is scum because our cop (if he is our cop) is doing no good since he's roleblocked. I don't understand how you're not seeing what I'm saying. We got more information from the vanilla townie that was lynched than we can from an unconfirmed Roleblocked cop. By killing him, it confirms him. It gives us definite information. Because if Dice gets NKed then we KNOW he was the cop and can look at many factors. Right now he's just claimed a role that he can't confirm because he can't get a viewing. Keeping him alive and blocked is more beneficial to mafia.

Taken out of context. I didn't say they RB him to make us lynch him. RB him and not NK anyone might be enough to raise eyebrows. It has, but I was just thinking out loud as to why they would RB and not NK him. Because I just haven't been able to understand why they'd even waste the NK or strongarm on him. RB him makes him irrelevant. Killing him gives us information, he'd be confirmed or not.

I've literally never seen anyone say something D1 that 100% confirmed they were scum (even jesters have trouble getting themselves lynched D1 on purpose and they act as scummy as they come)...so i would err on the side of caution. This would make more sense if all of your posts were pertinent to the issue at hand...they were not. Now THAT actually makes sense and clears it up in my mind. Thank you. I didn't say we should lynch him. I was giving reasons that maybe there wasn't a NK. Although it's so asinine in the eyes of the Pirate, I think there has to be reason outside of the obvious for there to not have been a NK. To me, it isn't logical that they RB and try to NK the cop. If the doc protected Dice since he claimed cop, that would explain the no NK but then why the no results. There is something more at play imo so I'm just trying to figure it out. I still cannot figure why everyone thinks it's a good use of the strongarm. By strong arming him, he's confirmed town. Why not keep him and make him useless the rest of the game? At least until the RB gets lynched.

Glad to see we agree on some things at least lol I can't fathom why, with our cop out D1 and no NK N1, we wouldn't consider all possibilities instead of believing that the mafia used both of their abilities (aside from the strongarm i suppose) on one player/role. When only 1 of those abilities is needed. And I can't think of a blunt, in your face, reason there wasn't a NK. So I have to think outside of the box.

If you mean actual night it's because I work during the day and have 4 kids so I only get home to read at night, if you mean in game it's because the volume of posts was a lot less and I was able to catch up. I've given as much depth to them as I've seen. I tend to wait a bit longer before giving here's my town here's my mafia list because D1 is always full of so much fluff. I'm not going to use that to put any real ideas into the game until I'm confident in my ideas. It's frivolous. The first thing that really stood out was Rand at EoD and I made it as clear as possible that I thought it was sus.

That's not what I said. Roleblocking him so we couldn't get a reading in connection with no NK. Because why would they try to kill him and try to RB him? They had to know (if he is the actual cop) that the Doc would more than likely protect him. So why was there no NK? This is why I don't think it's muddying the waters to consider the motives behind this. I think the liklihood of the Doc randomly protecting someone other than the cop and it just so happens to be the one they go after for a NK is pretty low. So I'm forced to find other logic behind it.

How is it muddying the waters to state varying possibilities? I get that too many theories in a basic game could do that but there are issues at play. Why waste killing a nullified cop? With a mafia RB, the cop is basically another vanilla townie. All it does it take the RB ability out of play as well. Basically there is no mafia RB and no cop. It's very possible the Doc has thought of this as well. Protecting the cop is irrelevant if we can't utilize his ability. Honestly it's something I could see you figuring out back in the day and could 100% see you realizing that protecting the cop could be a waste. Do I think it's a good idea? No, I believe it's best to protect the proclaimed cop but I don't see it as an aburd notion.

Just got off a 16 hour shift so I'm just catching up on what I've missed. Probably gonna need to reply to stuff one by one because I don't have the capacity to remember all of what I wanted to say to each. Where did i even imply that him pulling off of the Dice train was scummy? I get that no one knew what Dice was soft claiming, I didn't either, but it was obvious he was soft claiming. On Day 3, that wouldn't go over so well but on Day 1, I figure it would've been safest to go another direction. The things that stood out to me about Rand's behavior was the the one liner posts, a few of them, when it was literal minutes until EoD and anyone trying to hurry and see what was happening in those last minutes before voting or unvoting would have to wade through the crap. He explained that he didn't know if he'd have service so fine on that. Then, immediately after Dice claimed, he said something, and I'm paraphrasing, like "nice try, I don't believe it" then immediately switched his vote. What doesn't make sense is why waste the time to type out a 2 or 3 sentence post saying he don't believe it instead of switching his vote and then proclaiming his issues with dice's claim. Is it picking hairs, maybe, but putting the unnecessary one liners in connection with waiting until the last second to switch his vote, I feel that was an attempt to get someone jumping in last minute to go ahead and jump on Dice's train so it gets Dice lynched but then being able to say "well I unvoted him." The fact that he acted like it was absurd that anyone could find his behavior scummy was another layer to it. I'm still not sure I understand his reasoning. I saw that DPR asked this but I don't think I saw the answer, it was something I was curious about as well, why Verb?
