Thanks for the new and improved site....And Cindy, I too am of the "old ways" but strive to make use of the "new"...And as you know we sometimes have to adjust to the new (even if it kills us)...But to Jason and his team, the site is amazingly easy once you get used to how it is set up...And as with new sites it still will take some time to get all the "kinks" out and the "tweaks" in

I am not the biggest fan of the new site either, granted you can not possibly make something to suit everybody and for me at least, my lack of entusiasm is mostly becuase I have not spent alot of time familiarising myself with it :P I use dragonmount once a day when I first get up to check WoT news, and for that purpose alone, so the old site was a little better laid out for my needs, but as I said, I cant please everybody, and trying to will result in nobody being happy :P but I can adjust, my WoT news is still all there, even if I had to look twice the first time to notice it :P

New site doesn't look to bad to me.

I am soooort of in agreement with Cindee. The place looks great but I am not that patient nor computer sauve to feal comfortable... just yet lol. I really liked the old DM. It was very easy to figure out and navigate around. I most especially miss the 'read new replies to your posts' option but that's because I am lazy lol. I am sure I will become used to it the more familiar I get. Tremendous effort and well done on all parts. It's bright but it looks great. Thanks! :D

Well, it seems to be a very Brown motif. If u were going to emulate one of the ajahs, I might have picked the Blue or the Green. Gone more for the passion they share. Not that there's anything wrong with organized or bookish, just not a choice I would have made.

BTW, I also stopped by to see if there was new podcast up.

I was wondering if you guys will still put up The 4th age podcast on the site. I can't seem to find it in my browsing.

after a few days home with some time to try to figure the new place out, i have one more comment re the new site. i know it's a comment that's been made before, because i saw it on the bug thread. but the response was extremely dismissive, so i thought it might need restating.

something about the visuals (i don't know if it's the brightness, the font, the contrast, and on the forums in particular, the animated signatures and bits and bobs, or maybe a combination of all) is very painful to my eyes and causes headaches.

several people reported this, and the response on the bug thread was something along the lines of, 'i've been working on the site 12 - 14 hours a day, and i don't get headaches, and there's no way we're changing the colors.'

i'm paraphrasing, and i apologize if i misread or misunderstood the post. i'd try to find it to copy and paste, but i can't go back into that forum because the animated signatures combined with everything else make me feel like i'm going to have a seizure.

it's very nice that there are people with good vision who are not prone to these types of headaches who can freely roam the board without ill effect. but it's not so nice for the people who do have these problems.

i hope the programmers will reconsider and reexamine the issue.

I had to register just to say "Well done!" on the new version of the site. So much better than the old one.

Just a quick note/question. All of the old news articles are gone. Specifically the ones about the eBook cover art. There are links in the current stories for KoD and TGS, but when clicked lead me back to the front page. I loved those features articles here, mostly for just looking at the large versions of the pictures you guys had up. I'm re-reading the series, and I liked to stop by and check out the cover photos as I got to each of those scenes. So, I guess I'm wondering if all the old news articles will be re-posted?
