DPR says in the post you quoted "Beat me to it. When reading DPR's quote this would be the anwser to why he's reading DPR as nervous. DPR can chime in and if im mistaken then i concede that i was wrong about this point.

2. what I said was: "I seem to recall self meta posts are usually thought to be "naughty." cause this is a lying game so people will lie about their meta. I think this is where our problem is: I know that meta comes from previous games. However, I don't believe that's all there is to meta. I believe that a person's personality, emotional status, sleep/leisure/work activities, etc. all go into a person's meta. And since you are "nitpicking", I said, "seemed" which is less forceful than did or had.

 

It's like the square and the rectangle. The square is a square and a rectangle, However the rectangle is not a square.

 

That being said: It is OKAY to give SELF META .

 

WHY:

 

1. I am someone who is almost always seen as naughty from D1

 

2. I believe there is more to META than just what is posted in the game. A person has a life outside of the game. That too is brought into the game.

 

3. At the risk of seeming naughty (in other people's eyes) ---- I am a nervous person IRL which transposes to the game, I feel the need to explain myself multiple times until I get fed up/or don't have enough time.

I am not hunting for just a 3rd party. I am saying Calder is very reminiscent of Gods and Demons, where he was a cult leader/wolf. That means he is not town. I want to lynch not town. After ALL THAT I said I think he may be 3rd party. Even if I didnt think he was third party, I would still be down to lynch him.

 

So there are reasons that do involve prior games with Calder. And yes, 3rd parties are dangerous. I dont see why this is an issue for anyone that knows my experience with 3rd parties. #AlwaysLynchSurvivors

i don't know about this forum, but on several other sites i've played on, it is not uncommon for wolves to hunt for third parties because in hunting for them they can try to replicate their villager game and get by more. Though how one actually hunts for third parties, beats me. They usually say something about so and so could be a third party and it is a bit of a trigger especially early on in games.

4. Shad has made a spreadsheet of everyone's mafia games. It is awesome. Anyway it proves that there is no rhyme or reason as to how many times a person gets rand town or mafia. I have only played 13 games so far and 83% have been town. I have only rand:wolf once and twice subbed in. The time that I rand:wolf there was no town, only 3(3) mafia, 3 (3) cults, 2 masons, 3 SK, and 1 Jester.

Are you or are you not trying to use this as a reason to explain why you are town here?

 

 

I didn't finish my thought when I wrote that.  I believe there was more to the quote than that however, it is getting too late to check on it.  Here when we snip a quote we usually put *snipped* where the quote was. 

 

Anyway, I believe the point I was supposed to be making with that post was that it doesN'T matter how many times you rand town/wolf you will get what you get when you're randed. (Yes, PEEPS, I know you been telling me that and I just learning it to be true recently ) I was supposed to add on to that information by going to the spreadsheet and looking up other stuff but I got distracted

I don't get this, the whole quote.  Well I get the first sentence I think:   Let's say NB wants to  vote darthe, then this means he doesn't want you to do any research just vote darthe??  So I guess I get the first part.  However, why would they "look good for doing so."  and I don't understand how that would "coax a scum to go in for an easy vote" as the scum know who all the town are, except any 3p.  And yes they have to worry about them but please.   Dricky please explain.

I will explain.

 

The reason they looked good for it is exactly that the Mafia know who isn't them. If someone had voted with them for the easy reason like that, it would look horrible.

 

That's the reason I see for someone to say "don't read up, just vote with me". Trying to catch someone that doesn't care about where they are voting as long as it isn't their team.

 

I let it run its course and nothing happened. So I commented on how it looked good that they did so.

Notbob did exactly this to me in the last game. He came after me with no reason to see who would follow for an easy mislynch. Darthe did. Darthe was scum, and NotBob accurately read him because of this.

 

I saw it happening here again so I left it alone. Nothing came of it.

By role spec I assume you mean my saying calder is due a scum role. He is >rand to get scum. I think he averages 45%.

Only reason I can think of for you to be held accountable to an incorrect read to that extent is you know he isn't.
