Thread felt pretty villagery on that read just now.

I like it

and now?

Things are starting to warm up

What have you got?

Looks like that wolf game and two town rands are the only ones I have to work with worth jack.  Next most recent was 2010 and DM was such a different animal it's pretty much useless.

not bob still a wolf by the way

Why?

either im re-affirming my claim from earlier because it's true or i read the posts he made when he popped in earlier and felt they were lacluster since i thought it was at a time where the shitposting period had ended and people were making posts/giving reads making it possible to have some sort of content, so i'm continuing to press the claim in order to apply pressure in the hopes he responds to me or others with something where i can get an idea of his alignment

@Bop - I figured it was something along those lines. I'll just say that NB tends to be a bit of a slow starter but he's not a terribly hard player to read imo.

He's a straight shooter.

DPR reads really well spoken which is sort of disarming.

Like his posts look and sound good but I'm still thrown by his knee jerk reaction to Bop town reading Eldrick right after DPR voted him.

For 15p this game feels sort of small right now.

With school done for the next month and some change I can focus more on this outside of work and the normal life stuff. Yay?

Did you actually read #679?

I'm sort of surprised that people are legitimately taking issue with mine and Tiink's exchange on like pg 2. I'm basically where Shad's at on Tiink minus the Overwatch paranoia cause I didn't play that game. I'm not really seeing an issue yet but not seeing any real reason to town read either. I also don't think I've ever seen town!Tiink so I wouldn't even know what to expect.

@Eldrick/Wifi - wanna explain that one a bit more for me?

I was talking about his most recent exchanges with you.

Looking at #679 again makes me think I should probably reread that entire section a little more carefully since I skimmed a lot during the day at work.

I can try, even though I've already dismissed it.

His response to you giving insight seemed overly harsh. I don't get why someone would react like that. He commented on how to deal with day 1. You gave your opinion. He jumped on it. It was weird and out of place to me.

I'm torn between asking what games those were and slapping myself for encouraging you.

Would you consider it a reasonable assessment of your scum game in general?

Certainly not - everybody has ticks, but the point of this game is to be a chameleon. To *not* play the same every time, so that people can't peg you through meta. I've played loud, quiet, aggressive, scum, town, drunk, whatever. I'm genuinely surprised that people depend so much on meta now - it's weird, like once your known for a meta, you have an obligation to live up to it. It's baffling.

While this makes sense, it is what it is. Of course you can actively change how you play, but some things are subconscious. They will come out unless you are actively trying to act differently, and done enough can be used to accurately read someone.

Meta is definitely not the only thing that matters, but it is for sure a great place to start.

just because you make a read, doesn't mean you have to be married to it. you can change it. this game isn't just about being right, it's about making reads and backing them up with how you got there so people can get an idea of how you play/read the game and also lets people get a read on you, because making yourself an obvious town when you are town is just as important, if not more so, than being correct.

So much this.

I think it's definitely more important to make yourself accurately read than it is to be right. Town is consistently wrong, so while being right is important, showing that you're town is more so.

I did see some potential promise in this but he left before I could really fill it out.

#774 was kind of blatantly incoherent and I dunno if I should be worried about you not picking up on that or content that neither of us are finding it necessarily wolfy.
