Really nothing about regy should make anyone feel good about him in a vacuum.

 

 

Well, two things.

 

-I'm not playing in a vacuum

-I disagree.

 

Have you ever noticed that...a decent amount...of people tend to scum read you when they're playing with you, especially when they're not overly familiar with you?   Most people read me correctly, at least when I'm in a good mood. Just not here or on VS apparently. But I'm fine with Regy reading me wolf. I'm not fine with him reading me as a wolf for the same reason for about 20 pages while no one listens to him and I'm telling him he's wrong about what I'm doing and that he had misread the conversation.

 

 

However you want to argue that - you're a scummy player, you're an unconventional player, they don't know how to read you, they're bad players, whatever - Actually I'd argue none of those things. I'm a lazy sob who doesn't care if he's emotional. Those aren't the reasons Regy thought I was a wolf. No, he thought I was a wolf because he expected a page 1 vote to mean something and he can't tell the difference between a player explaining a vote and a player pushing a read. hat's kind of a reoccurring thing.  So it's not strange to me that somebody that's never played here before isn't overly comfortable with your game.

 

I don't necessarily have any issue with you making a opening/meta/joke vote and then trying to tie it to something.  Because I know you. At best you can argue it would raise an eyebrow, but a full blown wolf read? Unlikely. But I can easily see how somebody that doesn't know you as well would find it off, He didn't find it off. He was pretty sure I, whom he has never played with before, was mafia because of it. especially when that vote occurred on page 1. People who don't know about metavotes might have found it questionable, indeed.

 

Beyond his approach to you, I thought he was pretty reasonable when dealing with Zander about you.  Reasonable doesn't guarantee town, but he didn't look to string Zander up about Zander's mistake.  He looked to resolve the issue.  That's a good sign.  The same thing with me this morning.  Well as long as he's trying to work through problems with other people as long as they aren't me.

 

His overall reads list from last night wasn't significantly different than mine.  Again, not a guarantee he's town, but it's not going to make me feel BAD about him.

 

 

Besides what directly involves YOU, what of Regy's content do you find particularly scummy?

Leaves BFG/PBF (or PBF's sub)/Darthe/Kat/You+Z as my five lowest, but I don't have a great deal of confidence this is a game solve and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a wolf in the middling/thin townread group

....Okay, this is pretty bad.  

 

Bold sounds absolutely horrible, and Cory is like...the runaway leader in posts at this point.  He's easily one of the tops in content.  I'd have to go back and check to be certain, but as someone you fully agreed with you he wasn't playing his normal town game last night, I'm pretty sure he had ramped it up by the time he made the post you quoted there.

 

And considering he's actively working to engage you right now, the top part is just untrue.

I know she did that as mafia once recently in VS Hunt but she also had a bunch of real life things going on at the time and probably wouldn't have been very active as town either so I'm not sure what it means

 

The less BFG is involved or around is cause for concern with her.

 

Involvement isnt the only tell but one.

I think this is almost certainly correct but would guess it's slightly more prominent as mafia.  I remember Liz pushed him for it in 90's music when he was town, but I also remember him doing real time posting to respond to her about it.  Pretty sure he did the same thing with me when I was engaging him during a catch up session, but I'm not as sure about that one.

 

Compare that to here, where he's seemingly ignoring everything currently happening in the thread.

I felt like the hydra was doing alot of dirt throwing towards kat early. I didn't really view it as solving as kat put it. I tried to look for the 1 post that made me think that but i couldn't find it. Kat hasn't made any post that i really like, she is less wordy than usual, and when she repeated herself.

she isn't posting like I generally see town kat, though in her defense she gets better as the game goes on.

 

I just generally dislike these 2 the most, and the way they interacted bugged me and i dont think they are t/t

I think I should start focusing on townies, and I really like cory/hallia/reg

That goes for anybody else that feels that way, too.  Because I feel like I've probably played more with Cory than anybody on this forum, and he's done nothing whatsoever that he couldn't do as mafia, and there's a hell of a lot of things he could do as town that he hasn't.  Admittedly, we're less than 350 posts in so that's by no means overly damning, but I don't get why anybody is feeling particularly good about him.

I have my own reasons, but I highly doubt I am going to convince anyone to feel one way or another about cory. 80% of the people will most likely be sus of him regardless of what he says or how townie/scummy they think he is.

since you want something on my feels. I liked the way some of his posts felt in vacuum. there was 1 in particularly I liked, mostly gut. which like you said, others would just think was null.

hallia is the only 1 I have above him. so yea I trust him.

No, because not 1 person will understand where I am coming from. It's my own little theory I have. And he s I talk to cory quite often about reading him lol.

 

My point won't convince anyone to read him 1 way or the other, I gave a short explanation earlier but I'm not goin in depth.

If I had to guess -him not responding to anything in real time means catching up is very important to him so he's not taking any breaks to read or respond to the current thread. Zander generally isn't afraid to respond to content as a wolf, I don't think, or at least his activity level hasn't demonstrated it in the past.

Yep i wrote this as he was posting this and I misunderstood him... alas he doesn't understand me at all... the whole thing was... it was my first post... I wasn't contributing... I wasn't trying to... I wasn't trying to APPEAR to... I was just checking in... the end. 

 

 

It's not really an issue of understanding you.  It's an issue of I don't think Alanna was in the wrong to make her observation.  Other players are rarely going to know your intent - they only know your actions.  

 

I didn't mind the observation... I minded her saying that I was trying to look like I was contributing... and I wasn't... *shrugs* but that's neither here nor there.

Kat I don't know why you're defensive over me commenting on your intro. I just wanted more at that point and kind of got shut down and called annoying for trying to solve so I'm trying to give some distance between us atp. Last I talked with Zander he was thinking you're null for your intro so it's probably just me being nitpicky. Not sure i can appropriately explain my POV right now

Lainey... l'm not defensive at you really any more... Honestly you and Zander seem townish... probably... Zander definitely does... i don't read you well so i'm going to have to trust to my reading of him more I'm afraid. What I'm annoyed at right now are the people who are trying to take our 4-5 posts of talking to each other and make it into t/w, w/w when they have nothing to back it up. it's extremely frustrating and i'm not sure how to combat it. I'm also not sure what people want out of me. I've tried typing a reads list 2 times today... neither one I felt good about and then I got called away at work and when I came back there were 40-50 more posts which I felt made my lists inaccurate until I could read up... And i'm not sure with the way things are going today at work that I'll have time to really sit down and do a list like I'd like to. 

 

Honestly right now the only "person" I feel decent about are you and Zander.

Hallia is borderline.

Cory is meh.

Seph... bleh but obviously no one can read him so I don't feel bad about that.

Clov... ehhhhhh I'm leaning more town than null but barely.

Darthe and BFG are non existent to me.

Reg I don't know and I don't know what to think about him... seems to be trying to make a lot out of nothing more than helping.Which seems more scummish.

Sirren I have no clue about.

Sili... his activity looks good but he's being a bit whiney... (sorry sili.. just calling it how i see it) and I don't know how to interpret that...

 AJ I feel gut ok with but i'm not sure what I think about that lol... I don't remember what his town game looks like but he seems more towny than what I remember him being like as scum, but I could be completely wrong.
