I don't think I've actually "tried anything new" yet, I've pretty much been myself

I was mostly just in a weird mood yesterday and we know that dictates my game more than anything

The fact that I am consciously trying to hold back and yet still am top poster is either evidence that I am terrible at pulling myself away from things or a sign this game needs to kick up a little (or thirdly, a good time to ask "Where did Zander go?")

Clov: in response to #306, do you think I sound bad or do you think I am a wolf?

There's a pretty distinct line there. I would estimate myself nullish, but anyone who tries to read me first half of day 1 and think my actions there are of literally any consequence is probably a mouthbreather trying to be a hero

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to let you know that I'll be going to work now, and won't be able to do vote counts for 7-8 hours, so if you need any, please take care of it yourselves.

What conversation would that be?

mine and Hallia's, which Reg has dedicated a sizeable portion of their content to analyzing.

In Regy's defense it made me suspicious of you too, but my catch up has changed my mind

What did you see that made you change your mind?

It was the same two posts that you said made you feel good about Sili, but I'll be specific. It started with #185 (how do I put links here with custom text?). I liked how reasonable Sili's tone was, and that Sili was finally explaining that he's not wolf reading Hallia - or at least, it seemed like that was the first time he was explaining it. His immediate next post is explaining that you don't need good reasons to vote someone, so I had then gone back and skimmed a few pages and saw a post earlier where Sili said he didn't think Hallia was scum. It seemed weird that he would be voting for someone he doesn't think is scum, but he said much later that it's a meta vote. I still think his vote was bad and shouldn't have happened because it doesn't make sense to vote someone you don't think is scummy, especially when Sili has also been clear that it wasn't a joke vote, but his explanation satisfied me. I think it was AJ who said that Sili was likely town with good intentions to start content but bad delivery? That's how I feel about Sili right now.

In general addition, my overall feeling of Sili is that they are much calmer and less antagonistic this round than last, even with his immediate vote.

Uhm, it wasn't bad delivery for what it was.

Easy isn't always wrong, let's chat boos and boorinas

Okay. Why? I don't disagree, but por qué?

That's fine. I don't agree though, because good delivery wouldn't have seen me feeling iffy about you for so long before a full explanation was given.

I was under the impression that's because you're from VS, and VS doesn't like metavotes. So the problem, seems to me, is either that I made a metavote or didn't use that word to explain what I did.

Because they haven't been villagery and that's a wolf thing a lot of the time

What defines villager Zander/Alannalynn? To me they've just felt off, the immediate aggression from the beginning doesn't sit right.

Wait....Clov wha?

You're judging me based on my phrasing? That's reaching.

Also re: the second language thing, I mean I do speak two languages (three if you count Southern) but come on.

We don't mind meta votes, but you need to be able to back it up and they usually don't happen immediately on Day 1. You also didn't explain that the vote was based on meta until late yesterday. Your persistent back and forth with Hallia, no matter who started/continued it, also seemed to me that you were defending your vote and thus defending your read that she was scum. You explained later, but everything up until that point didn't make me think well of you.

@Sili

Just to make sure I understand your early motivations, are you saying that a rigid or stiff tone is scum meta for Hallia?

Sounds like we have different experiences. Most communities I attend are used to metavotes.

Clov: thoughts on Townie Queen so far?

I have worries

I had similar thoughts.

There's a pretty distinct line there. I would estimate myself nullish, but anyone who tries to read me first half of day 1 and think my actions there are of literally any consequence is probably a mouthbreather trying to be a hero

Your tone has definitely been off, and I don't get where you were coming from on some stuff.  That doesn't make you a wolf, but it doesn't make you town.  And you're not exactly somebody that struggles to towntell.

Incidentally, I did put a little thought into why such a simple post sounded rigid to me before I cast the vote. The first two posts are high energy, and the third is low energy! - so it seemed out of place.

But that was a lot of thought about nothing.

I don't have any ground breaking ideas rn unfortunately. A couple town reads though.

....Yes?  In a game that requires me to look at what you wrote and make an opinion on it, I am factoring phrasing in.  I'm certainly doing it less than 400 posts in.

I don't know what you're referring to, but Cory's tone is fine imo.

I think my tone is been fine as well

And it's not like as a wolf I suddenly struggle with tone

When did you believe in tone as a method of reading people?
