aj is meh. maybe he was misunderstanding stuff.

kind of reminds me of what happened between me and zander though. i push him then zander pretends he doesn't understand and poof zander pockets me.

Is this in reference to what I posted?

Because my post is about how AJ is correct and Celeste' argument on John is built upon fallacy.

You quoted her post but then wrote inside her original post - the blue stuff. That WAS you, wasn't it? Because the blue lines weren't in Princess' original quote.

I'm just saying you shouldn't do it, in the future. It had me confused for a good minute before I realized you'd written it, and then I had to go back and look at the other Princess quote you replied to where you made some text blue as well, to see if you'd written that in there as well.

it's not a fallacy. it's a faulty premise.

anyway, no it isn't. it's about my initial suspicions about aj. nothing to do with current events.

Wow, that's a pretty angry reaction to what I said. I didn't think it was unreasonable, I think it's poor form to quote someone and then write stuff inside their post.

I don't think I've really misunderstood anything, Sili.

You were nit picking my phrasing to make it seem like I was misrepping stuff, but when boiled down to brass tacks the facts still remained. But - you're here now so I'll see what you bring to the table.

I don't necessarily hate the Flea vote atp.

it was me. but i said i posted in blue in the quote in the post before the one you quoted. it's obvious that it was me. and even if it wasn't you can click on the quote and zoom back to the original and you would see it had no blue in it.

and i will do what i want. you can tell me you don't like it, and you can ask me to change how i present my posts, but don't pretend i should do anything.

no, it wasn't nitpicking. you were indeed misrepping stuff. there were no facts beneath them.  just misrepping stuff.

Pretty much??? I've only played with him 2 games (and one was mafia) but he went off for nothing I think both games... lol

Posted

well not so much the game he was mafia... I think he had 20-30 posts the ENTIRE game and he lived to day 3-4 lol

It's clearly not obvious since I was confused.

I don't know why you're picking a fight about this, of all things, or why you are being so unreasonable, saying things like "even if the mod asked me to stop I wouldn't".

Celeste hasn't done anything to change my opinion on the slot. Her vote on Snow is for made up reasons. Her reads elsewhere have been pretty lackluster.

Also I disagree about compromised info. It should've never been brought into the fold in the first place. It also doesn't have any bearing on his alignment.

Fair enough, although I am planning to re-read JS pretty quickly to see if maybe there is a connection she just isn't articulating well, or if you're right. Because if she DID make up the argument, completely, that's a pretty big scum-slip, and I'd feel much more comfortable with the direction this phase is heading with the lynch.

As far as your second point, agree to disagree. I know RL stuff affects how I play, how I post, and the way people read my alignment as a result. I'm not saying that is 100% what has happened here, but I'm taking it into consideration.

My question is this: Why does there need to be a reason that we get something that out weighs the town mislynch?

I don't understand this so explain it like I'm 5. I think the slot is wolf. Thus I lynch the slot. Slot is town? I reconsider afterwords. I go back and read. I don't pre-reevaluate on everything as if they were town. That's stupid. Dice is arguing as if he KNOWS Zander will flip town, least that what it seems like to me. SomeOne who isn't Dice, who won't yell at me, explain what the heck this means.

Dice I don't know where you "Lazer focused" but how? I haven't touched them while waiting for Celeste. The one who keeps bringing the discussion back to the forefront is you, and I respond. That's not focus. That's not tunneling. So please stop painting it like it is.

I'm sorry I'm not explaining this better :/ I'm not saying that if the benefit doesn't outweigh the cost we should never take the chance of mislynching. I was stating that it was that argument that seemed to be the point of contention between you and Dice, specifically on Dice's side. I'm very much a "no one should have to be sacrificed" type of player, so I understand where he is coming from, but acknowledge that it's not a pragmatic approach to a game where there is no way to know for certain if the person you are lynching is scum until after the flip.

I also get where you, AJ and others are coming from as a result. I'm not against a Zander/Celeste vote, so much as I am reluctant for it, and I've seen others mention their reservations over it too. I was simply trying to clarify the argument, and make some observations.

IF Zander flips scum, I don't see us getting a lot of useful information, but yay us.... but IF he flips town, I have yet to really see anyone post how the benefit of it outweighs the cost of a mislynch, and I think what is making this situation worse if the flippant attitude this fact is being treated with... as though killing a townie is acceptable in this instance because we are already so committed to it and trying to get a train going somewhere else will be too hard.

Honestly, I hate this argument.

Since when does town lynch the player that will "give the most benefit if mislynched". Like, if he's the player they believe most likely to be scum, that's where they should vote. That's... how the game works? PBF, you yourself are a player who digs her heels in when you suspect someone of being scum and they dodge the lynch, where is this "a lynch needs to provide information if its wrong!" attitude coming from?

I'm sorry you hate the argument? I just explained this above to Lenlo, but the short answer is never (please see above for better explanation). That wasn't the point I was trying to make, and again, I apologize if it came off that way. You've also seen me be reluctant to lynch someone with this reasoning before when the town got up in arms, and I never voted in those situations, so I'm not sure why you think this mind-set is completely new to me. I'm not going to argue that I can be hypocritical about this mind-set when it comes to my own game... it tends to be a bit harder being reasonable with yourself when you are convinced you are right, and I'll admit I do that too.

Well it's official, I will never trust PBF again.  Girl puts in effort like nobody's business then.

I feel like this was already discussed way earlier in the thread, that my town and scum games are very similar-- and the meta for my scum game has also already been posted. If it makes you feel better, I'll find it for you so you can know the differences between the two from someone that ISN'T me? Just let me know. I'd reassure you I was town this time, but that statement has about as much value as selling ice to an Eskimo.

@Celeste - can you pull your response or just answer again please?

I see a lot of opposition to the lynch because of out of thread reasons but no one wants to discuss that Celeste made up a reason to vote someone

Again, I'm about to go and read JS ISO before I do anyhing else, because if you are right, then I want to have the posts to back you up. Maybe THAT would make Dice and everyone else feel better about lynching someone who has subbed-in and help them overcome their anxiety/reservations regarding Zanders play up to that point.

i don't know why you in particular were confused. perhaps because you begin by reading the quote, not the text that responds to the quote. that might be unique to you. And you should probably not assume that everyone would be as confused as you are.

just my 2c.
