@Sili, I don't mind you wanting to push me. I think everyone has been pushed. But if you're going to throw out a theory about me, then at least base it in facts please and thank you.

 

You made a statement about persistent pushing being a staple for me (it is...when I feel I have something strong enough to push) and then said that I did it with Penny the way I did it with Calder?

 

I'm pretty damn sure you were part of the conversation with Chris early on trying to figure out why Penny perceived that I was tunneling her when you both agreed I wasn't tunnelling her. And I would hope that you read my subsequent comments about how your conversation made me understand what penny was trying to say with her "actual tunnelling" comment. So how is that me pushing Penny like I pushed Calder?

 

I'm going to be frank with you. I don't have a lot of meta to go off of in this field (which might be a good thing), but I've kind of written you off at this point as misguided town because of your kind of erratically confident reads on almost everyone in this game (meaning, you jump around a lot, but you're very confident in your reads - to the point of saying at one point you were the only one with good reads and town was doomed if you died -- even after coming to the conclusion that your previous reads were all wrong.

 

But I have this tendency to get it wrong with at least one player of your style pretty much every game that I play. I was thinking last night when I was watching the Chronos Trigger game, I got 2 out 3 of the scum team right on day 1 (including Zander) but I missed the one guy who I wrote off as misguided town because of play that was similar to your play in this game. So while i'm not ready to lynch you today, I'm also realizing that it's probably not a good idea to give you a free pass. Especially after you make a comment like "Am I scum or am I just playing badly".

 

And your comment on not seeing Seph changing his reasoning - did you not see the whole conversations that Calder and Chris have had on that topic?

Celeste: what is your read on Darthe now that he has moved his vote off of you to Seph?

I ended up scanning it but anyone who is interested in what I am talking about can read this, which is Liz's response to my push on her last night.

i think you should quote the posts you are attempting to respond to.

 

Why? You can't remember what you said?

 

Try answering based on memory please. I did it that way to stop clogging the thread with my multiquotefails and will try to do single quote responses and/or insert links, but I'm not going back to fix it on that one. But in the meantime, i don't see why you can't just say whether you think I represented or misrepresented your thoughts in the thread and whether you have any clarificaton on that as well for this post in question.

So from what I have read. Clov thinks I'm mafia, pushed me the hardest but had very slight doubts. This is fine with me.

Liz has ignored me most of the game, and has not pressed me or even tried to engage with me. Looks like she voted because I'm opposite celeste.

 

Darthe, defended me early, has pretty much avoided giving many reasons, and has seemed to just jump on me at eod. Same with laine.

 

So before eod 1 pesos on my train thought I was scum. That's neat guys

Sorry you felt so neglected. But don't worry, I've been paying close attention to you and what's been happening around you :wink:

 

 Mainly my focus was on trying to figure out why the people who were pressing you were pressing you.  If you paid attention to me you might have noticed that I had you as a town read for a while. I moved my vote to you to force some tension after you moved your vote from Calder, leaving me hanging on there with an inactive and no one else wanting to add any pressure to Calder. You also didn't look very good when you finally came back in the thread. Celeste became a high lynch candidate after I moved my vote to you, not the other way around.

 

That outcome, by the way, is part of the reason I moved my vote. Not to see if Celeste would be the counterwagon per se. But to see what would be the response to an actual wagon vs. the 2, 2, 1, 1 limpfest that was going on at the time.

I'm pretty pumped, this is my first full game since I came back :)

Darthe and thane seem town so far.

I was referring to the "(rumours)" comment. 

 

On the productivity comment - I am never really super productive early on. Seems a real odd push since that is pretty well known. I usually go after one person, poke around, and play. So maybe I don't get it.

 

How is it an odd push if I don't actually know your meta.

 

All I know is what rumours tell me...the rumours didn't inform me of your d1 play. So that seems like an odd defense...

Oh, I just find it odd that you would expect me to know your meta that specifically automatically and therefore find it odd that I wouldn't know that.

 

I'm just talking productivity in general, actually.

 

So what direction do you think we should be taking things? If not you, who should I be pushing iyo?

 

in particular the highlighted which shows liz acting confused about calder's assumption of she understood his meta. it was explained. furthermore knowing more about his meta undermines liz's push yet such a thing goes unmentioned. the focus is on what excuse to use and how to turn it back on him.

 

 

 

[furthermore] it seems like lizs staple [is] to keep pushing. [What I mean is] she did it to celeste too but it was more justifiable in celeste's case but still i can hear the irony in lizs voice when she finally says celeste knows her alignment. That line in particular combined with the fact the initial reason to vote penny was likely minor and consequently there was no basis to suggest celeste should prove herself... And considering all that goes unmentioned by liz.. I got to say i suspect her.

And I pointed out that I did not keep pushing Celeste. In fact you were involved in a conversation where you and Clov were scratching your heads about why Celeste thought I was tunneling her. And I came in after your conversation and gave some insight into where her head might be at and why I didn't think she was actually scum. And then there was the whole back and forth that I had with Zander about his take that my scum read on Celeste was for nonexistent reasons and why wasn't she pushing back on me more.

 

Remember all this?

 

So how does that fit with your reinterpretation of events.

 

As for the Calder thing, I made a comment about hearing rumours about Calder being a good player. I did not say anything about having a play by play on his playstyle. So yes, it was confusing to me that he jumped to the conclusion that I knew his playstyle in detail. But...maybe that's just a *cough*...better not finish that sentence...

 

(I actually like you Calder, so don't be offended please! :P)

Im confused even more now by this because of his response to mine,

 

If you were reading him Town and like his tone then why should he have not been there?

Why would that be a confusing conclusion, though?  Obviously you knew something about him - I'm not sure who this information could have been coming from :unsure: - so I really don't understand why he wouldn't be inclined to think you had heard something about how he plays, beyond "he's good."  That actually seems like a really natural assumption.

 

Bold - I would love to hear that you were going to say there.
