Hallia becomes much easier to read as the game progresses and is usually a prime mislynch candidate.

 

Find this confusing. She becomes easier to read while remaining a prime mislynch candidate?

 

 

Hallia can't keep up her Town persona as Scum for very long.

 

Some people read her well and some don't, Scum and those that dont make her a prime mislynch candidate early on.

 

I've caught Scum Hallia D1 like within the first 10 - 20 posts from her before but NOBODY would believed me because it was a Meta read.

 

It took a couple days for the rest of the game to see it.

You already know what I think about lynching lurkers, and I think I've made it clear who I'm trusting and not trusting.  If the quiet players start posting, I'll evaluate them appropriately.  If not...well, things happen.

 

That being said, I think this might be the earliest I've been tinfoiled on by a player that's never seen me place, so that's pretty cool.

Any flavour of town would be nice, actually. I'm not sure I've seen that. I've seen a whole lot of null. Would you be comfortable with that if you were in my shoes and dealing with a player of your reputed calibre?

Sili- town, he's invested and reading other players, present and engaged with the thread. I don't like his read of me nor do I like him giving Zev a pass, but I'm not one to lynch inactives day 1 anyways

Seph- townish. liked his early push to get the thread going but I'm seeing it taper off a bit which is weakening the little bump I gave him. I'm going to need sustained prodding to keep a town read here. I also like how he held up against Clov's questioning, he came off townie in that interaction

Clov- town for now, with some tinfoil. Clov is consistently a hard read for me and I hesitate to let a read lull for too long on him (meaning lol!me in HP game); he's coming off town so far in his conversations with both Sili and Seph, as well as with Liz last night; I guess there's not really anything I can complain about wrt Clov, but he's not going to just slip up either, so it's not like I'm looking for that. Idk what I'm doing anyways lolol

Liz- was pretty conflicted on her during my catch up because I don't think I realized what to expect from her as a player... (@Celeste I still want you to talk to me about her??) but I'm okay giving her a townish lean pending some insight from Penny. Otherwise her tone is fine, if rather baiting imo, and she's aggressive on people giving her reads (uncomfortably so, for me )

Darthe- leaning town, just got good feels so far, he's not feeling slimy yet

 

Hally: totally null, she's on vacation, is rather reactive on thread, but I can see her being frustrated with how things are going so far while she's not able to catch up and say anthing

Zev: totally null, also inactive, being defended by Sili

Thane: null, don't remember any content posts from him, the ones he has posted have had good tone though

 

Calder- nullish, not sure, watching him from arms length, pending ISO

Celeste- ?? didn't like her earliest responses to Liz, she came off a little guilty to me, but I'm biased knowing that she tends to put foot in mouth before she levels out; at the same time I don't want want to give her a pass on it all. I would appreciate some answers to my questions earlier in my catchup though

Zander: no read yet, I need to talk to him a little and see his reads first, and understand where he's coming from. So far, not good though

 

Is your issue with lynching Zev exactly that: he's not been here?  If he were here and made a few quick posts, would that change your willingness at all?

 

Because, based on your reads list, not lynching inactives would take Hallia, Zev, and Thane off the list.  I'm assuming you're going to take all of your town reads off.  Is your lynch pool for today just those bottom three then?

This is a start.  I'd probably vote Zev over Thane just on principle - I expect Thane will be around to vote if he's alive near endgame...I'm not sure Zev would.  I doubt this is your reasoning though.

And by the way I have played with hallia longer than you have. I have seen her as scum start of weak as well, and I've seen her as town start off strong. This seems to me more like a 'whether she has time to play' sort of thing.

2 she was Scum iirc. And I got her in both and one of them was D1.

 

2 I read her wrong in.  One she totally played differently then she normally played a PR and admitted as much.  And the other I was on tilt and have already explained.

 

Even tho #themathsarehard I'd say have a read Hallia correct rate of about 75-80% give or take.

I guess the above prolly not needed in this response.  But obv i disagree strongly for the reasoning you used for sussing her.  My problem is if you were legit reading her Scum for all the reasons you mentioned or were throwing shade/trying to find reasons to build a case against her.

 

I also know you backed off of her but that also leads me to wonder if you clued in to how ridiculous it was or that no one was buying what you were selling.  Youre not wrong about the investment level from her but thats not an indicator one way or the other for her especially considering she's on vacation.

I can read myself town for AtE and read Hallia wolf for AtE and justify this rather easily.

Thane, I like your reads list last page. You make some good points as well, you can be in my town pile.

I try to nail some wolves, but I'm having some difficulties this game. But, the track record from the past couple of games was alright, so I am quite confident that I'll find some.

 

I too would vote Zev over Thane.

Voting Zev would have 2 endings:

1) wolf is dead: YAY

2) townie dead with basically no additional info.

 

scenario 2 wouldn't lead to a complete new D1, depending on NA's, but still....

You're mostly right on the top point, but I think you're blatantly wrong that we wouldn't have any new information if Zev flips town.  There hasn't been exactly a large number of people that have been trying to save the guy - pretty sure it's only Sili.  A townflip means you can go back and reassess whether you think Sili was genuinely able to read him from the number of posts or if it's  a TMI thing.   Look at the wagon.  Who voted Zev for awful reasons, and who truly seemed to believe it was the best option?

 

More importantly, if not Zev today, than who?

 

FWIW I do like Thane making the post, even if I disagree with it.  I don't know if it's because I think he'd naturally come to that conclusion, or if because he's basically arguing against the merits of a hypothetical lynch that had him as the alternate option.  I'm not sure mafia!Thane tries to sway people from lynching an inactive if his own lynch is an alternative.

Calder's the best I've got to go on right now. I wouldn't be shocked if he flipped town, seeing as most of the people whose reads I have faith in (basically you and Lainey) have him as null, but no one seems to have him as a strong town. So that's the best I've got.
