It isn't a coordinated town look. Which looking back now sheds some light on people for me.

It isn't a coordinated town look. Which looking back now sheds some light on people for me.

 

 

The main circular talk being Liz/Me which is still being thrown down people's throat by Zander. I understand Lainey asking because she was catching up.

Expanding on that above. My thought is that the thread state is odd. It has the feel of an experienced led scum team playing off and allowing town to have its own bad day 1. So if that is the case what does it suggest.

 

 

Point 1:

 

1 of the following group, but unlikely more than 1, is scum:

 

Liz

Sili

Clov

 

Given that there is no clear direction I would say the most vocal voice is most likely town (being allowed to assume the role). That would be Liz. So scum thread leader would be Sili or Clov for me. To risky to lynch either one obviously, but I like to keep track of who is in charge.

 

Point 2:

 

Although there is not enough thread play to suggest it right now, Darthe is almost certainly town in retrospect. Strong thread presence that town does not seem to have. Would leave me to bet he is a semi safe person to trust. As I feel town is down a voice right now.

It is more of a deduction of the state of the game for me. If I think the current thread-state may be lighter on true town voices than I have to make up the difference somewhere else. Darthe clicks into place in my mind.

If your scum Celeste, my entire vision falls apart. Me and you have to both be town for my scenario to be even remotely close. I think you are though. Because me, you, and Zev are the top 3 possibilities in the current game state (which scum would not want to evolve).

Zander, what makes you so confident this isn't scum Hallia?  As much as I think Sili is reaching in his case to condemn her, you're either reaching to NOT condemn her or you're seeing something I'm not.  Basically the only thing I've seen from her this game is apparently her being OnVacation!Hallia, which doesn't mean a thing for her alignment either way.

 

When did I say I was confident Hallia wasnt Scum?

 

I would say Im prolly in the upper echelon of Hallia readers, she did fool me in Shad's game but in my defense I wasnt in the best state of mind and Darthe and Lainey had me so far off tilt I didnt really focus on her much and read her mostly off of her defense of lolme.

 

Scum Hallia usually starts off strong, tends to taper off as the game progresses.  She is OMGUS's and snarky well snarky by Hallia standards which is more like a cute puppy when you take its favorite chew toy away.  And tends to be a little more jokey to alleviate pressure and create/force thread presence.

 

I havent seen that yet from her which is a good sign but also knows shes on vacation so Im taking that into consideration on my read of her.

 

Hallia becomes much easier to read as the game progresses and is usually a prime mislynch candidate.

 

Gun to head slight Town read thus far.  Her frustration reads pretty genuine to me but I also know she's on vacation so that makes it ring more true to me. 

 

I think the reasons Sili are foolish so I called it out.  Sili does silliy things for Sili reasons.  And Im trying to determine where he's coming from to help me formulate my read on him.

So, I'm not going to look for quotes for the past 30 pages, but i can give you an impression on what i think might be the alignment of the players present in the game.

 

Clovdyx would be top mayor. Like his gameplay so far. Puts in work, asks questions, responds too. 

Darthe is ok from what I've seen. Mainly gut feeling here, but I'm gonna go with it. 

Lizabeth seems alright for now. 

alannalynn can help town lots, so no lynching her today. Willing to see how she puts things together from D2 on. 

seph seems motivated town. Seems... dunno... there's a hint of doubt on the back of my mind. 

Hallia not here a lot, but that's ok. She needs her vacation *nods*

Calder is a hard one to crack. I can never get a clear read on that one until after his flip... then i go like "Oooohhh, so that's what it was about." will need some more time here.

 

Zevrynne  who? null... 

Celeste is the oddest  read during the catching up. Didn't get a townie vibe here (yet?), and at this point, doubting she's town. 

 

And then there's these two: Zander & Sili Quirrels. Guys, with the amounts you both are posting, i have a hard time making sense of you. the thing going on between both of you (around page 15 or so) was hella confusing and didn't help me get a read on either of you at all. I'll need more time on both of you. 

 

I have too many nulls to my liking. But, I'm not able to really clear or accuse the majority of players here. I'll need more time, and prolly a couple of rereads, to be able to figure things out. Kinda frustrating

 

Really dont hate this reads list at all. Prolly have Lainey a little higher.

 

Agree with the null part which is troubling 40 some odd pages in.

Btw, and this is to all of you, where did this idea come from that "you sussed x in y game and they were town so I am questioning if you can read the person now"?

 

Its It's truly awful logic. That assumes that people are constant on both sides and that alignment doesnt affect performance.

As to the rest its called Meta.  Some people like myself use it as a primary tool for solving.  Others dislike it and dont use it.

 

I really think that tho some players can change their game up there's still some similarities and I also feel like some players can't or only can for a short while before those traits start to show.

Reading up overnight, I feel Zander is being his typical town self. Not sure if Sili is just trying to take advantage of me not being able to be here to defend myself or if he is just awful at reading me

A lot of the last.  And I think its a decent look from you that youre seemingly trying to actually determine that as opposed to just OMGUSing him.

You already know what I think about lynching lurkers, and I think I've made it clear who I'm trusting and not trusting.  If the quiet players start posting, I'll evaluate them appropriately.  If not...well, things happen.

 

That being said, I think this might be the earliest I've been tinfoiled on by a player that's never seen me place, so that's pretty cool.

Disagreeing about something does not make one necessarily Scummy.  Its usually found in the reasoning for said disagreement where you determine the objectivity or motive of ones reads or stances.

 

I have both of you as Town reads atp.  Youre addressing more questions about it to me so Im responding to them.

 

People not getting me is quite common when it comes to my reads. I can most certainly be wrong and have been but I also have a pretty decent track record for being right when most people disagree.  Minions and Star Wars immediately come to mind.

I thought it would get easier to know what you were getting at. I don't want to make the same mistakes as in Shad's game, though, so I'm hesitant to run away with a read. It would almost help if you were under some pressure, unfortunately. I could have spoken up in Shad's game, I think I just didn't reassess quick enough.

I'm not answering for ongoing games, but I'm feeling similarly to Shad's game. I just need to work it out.

I just provided a reads list above, Celeste is up in the air for me. I need to read more into your exchange with her, that's one part that I ignored a bit to dig into Liz/Celeste. >_>

I know I could be wrong but I dont see anything that she's done thus far that leads me to believe I am atp.  Only reason I'm not running this down everyone's throats yet is I know Penny tends to be Scummy af and I dont get how she thinks, as Im sure you may know from my comments to her about her Risk strategies lol.  Also in Hearts but you dont play that but Im sure Penneh herself will vouch for that.
