Once he got his role he continued to show his laidback mafia behavior instead of trying to scum hunt. It's just with the little I'm seeing.

also @ clov. I found the lainey thing. I say that her entrance wasn't normal, which it wasn't I said nothing about tone anywhere in there. so if you are going to critique me, at least stop critiquing the things that are not even there.

None of my votes have been random this game. Except for the very first one. Which was really more of a reaction to a dare, so not really random at all, actually.

 

As a fellow ENFP you should know that what looks random is not always random...

Why would we not be talking about it?  It's one of the more significant things that's happened in the thread so far, and it'd be nice to see where people stand on both of them - and there was enough discussion on it for other people to weigh in with their thoughts.  

 

You said Celeste seemed annoyed.  I don't disagree, but I don't know that that makes inherently increases her likeliness to be town.  If she is town, she probably would be annoyed that Liz was scumreading her right off the bat.  If she's mafia, she's probably annoyed that Liz was scumreading her right off the bat.  Is her frustration alignment indicative to you?  Did Liz's response seem genuine to you?

There are a few clear cases of frustrated players in every mafia game. Certain personalities trend that way, but in my experience it is overwhelmingly a townie trait to get really annoyed and frustrated. We have all seen it go both ways, but I am not getting pulled against the frustrated player on D1 when that strategy fails so often.

 

I have to read back on Liz, as my focus has more been on her vote bouncing around.

I haven't read like the last several pages, since page 18, but what I thought of clov's posts (since clov asked) was that I empathized with his logic but felt I needed more detail. Like it is clear to me Seph was super serious, but I don't necessarily think that is scummy. Like it sort of depends on his state of mind, so right now I'd rather lynch celeste because I just did not get her responses and when that happens the person is 7/10 times a wolf.

If Celeste is scum this game then she's taken her game to a whole 'nother level. She can be sneaky as scum, but I don't see her current play as being within her scum range (yet...she'll probably try to copy it after this game :P)

 

From the multiple conversations we've had on the topic, I honestly don't think she actually understands how I town read her, so I don't think she's actually pulling a fast one here. And it would be a dangerous scheme to try to pull the wool over my eyes in a way that's almost guaranteed to get her scum read by almost everyone else who doesn't know her well.

Im sorry but how he is playing is not pro town, and until he shows it I am not going to stop. From what people tell me he plays to his own accord, even claiming mafia when he is town.

I guess my problem here is that it wasn't a vote but a read.  People as either alignment will drop votes especially early for a variety of reasons, like jokes, reaction tests, pressure etc.  But Liz gave a Scum read based on nothing and Penny brushed it aside and doesn't address the read nor try to garner Liz reasoning for doing so.

 

It was based on nothing. It was perhaps based on something that you couldn't see, but it wasn't based on nothing.

Big mash. 120 players. I paid attention to stork and monster for like 10-30 posts and came away thinking they were wolves. I was right. ~shrug~

Quite honestly, Celeste, it's because you have a way of phrasing things that can come across as quite scummy and so people need to investigate (or they will if they're doing their job) to try to figure out what you actually mean.

 

Like the "actual tunnelling" only if i think you're "actually scum". That kind of things makes people scratch their head and wonder what mindset you're working from.

 

That being said, I think you're town, so I'm more interested in finding out your thoughts on the field, because when your head is in the game you're actually a good reader. You know I have much respect for that.

when did I ever mention that tunneling was good? Tunneling to me is something that doesn't need to happen unless you actually believe the other person is scum. I have seen a lot of town just not go anywhere because of that.
