Out of line, probably not, but I dont like to get pissy with people. It's not something I enjoy doing in what's supposed to be a game. I guess you could say I'm "softer" then other people who play mafia, but I really just try not to puss people off.

Seer covers fine, sometimes we get it wrong though.

Seer cover will eventually be wrong. And when you are wrong loudly enough there are consequences.

Seer cover's a pretty powerful thing mechanically though

Day 1 you need 7 living clear and have 2

Day 2 you need 6 living clear and have up to 4

Day 3 you need 5 living clear and have up to 7

Day 4 you need 4 living clear and have up to 11

above numbers with a caveat that I only just woke up

Obviously there's a lot of overlap between SHC, dead, cop peeks etc, and that happened this game.

And fps. Don't forget wolves don't need to hunt for the seer. They can just wait for villagers to make bad peeks.

Eldrick very nearly SHC'd himself n2 fwiw which probably would have been GENIUS and gave the wolves a fighting chance

Wolf SHC is usually a bad idea but there are certain circumstances it can be effective (mostly when they wolves are getting destroyed by PoE and the seer is obvious) and I think it could have worked

The "downside" is that seer cover starts eliminating seer candidates for the wolves, making it easier for them to hit; I mean, seers in vanillas elsewhere almost never make it to something like Day 4.

Honestly I'm not sure I like how much seer stuff there was this game, it meant there was very little normal game play which is normally the fun in these games,

I'm just pointing out how powerful SHC can be /shrug

My point is just if everyone is leaving seer cover in the open there will be mistakes, and it makes it easier to kill the real seer. If you throw in a wolf shc on n1 or 2 then you muddy the waters for the village in addition to fetching the seer.

This is the only game here that I remember that happening

SHC is GOOD baseline thinking but is not something you should follow religiously for the following reasons:

A) many times wolves are not paying attention / get peeks wrong / don't send in the kill and have it randed / rush the kill and accidentally SHC one of their own. I have been in three games where this has happened.

B) every now and then a wolf will SHC themselves intentionally (and if anyone's interested, I have a good grip of the situations you might want to consider SHCing yourself in)

I remember Yates went all the way to endgame as seer in Diablo.

This is one of them right?

and you can't peek wolves with explicitly obvious seer cover

I think there needs to be a balance that you adapt to in game and see who's leaving seer cover and how and then decide how you're going to leave yours from there

rawrs' seer game where he peeks 4 wolves in a row and wins prolly best seer game I've ever seen

LOL I told Shad about this game step-by-step on Skype during this game explaining that Lenlo didn't really need to get Hallia lynched d2

That exact game I talked about in detail
