I just posted a meme that broke my own rule. :D

Pulled it up again. I commented on two things there that you didn't mention at all:

 

You voted Sooh for something she didn't do yet, on the grounds that she might do it and doing it would be scummy. (Participating in a lynch with a joke vote.) I have only seen scum make this time of argument.

 

You voted Hallia on the grounds that her only reason for voting Lily was Lily's unvote, which came after the fact, but that wasn't what Hallia said. She said "for her gameplay". Instead of asking her to elaborate, you ignored it and voted her on the grounds of a slip.

 

I considered the issue you had with my reaction to Sooh on par with my reaction to your headache comment. I didn't address them separately for that reason. You are basing these actions being scummy because you saw scum do something similarly once. I'm perfectly fine with you not going to see if I act similarly in other games as town. I'm not asking you to. I don't intend to compare meta to figure out reasons for people either.

 

But the fact of the matter is you are treating me as scum because we have different ways of playing. Different ways of dealing with how to handle suspicion. I'm not one to say which one is better. I see merit in your approach. It isn't what I did. It doesn't make me scummy for playing differently.

 

As for my vote on Hally, I did ask for her to elaborate. I specifically asked what her original reason was. She never answered. You assume it's "Lily's gameplay" because it was part of her reasoning later on. The other part of her reasoning, the fact that Lily unvoted, was after her vote. Which made the reason read as "This is why I suspect her now". Her original reason is still unclear.

 

I also asked her right after she voted for her reason. This was right after she said she thought I was town. She never responded to that either. When people ignore direct questions, it makes me suspicious.

So Shad. I was wrong in not fact checking if you had changed your view on both Hally and Thane before you voted Lily. My original reason for bringing it up, one you still have yet to touch on, is why Hally wasn't in your WTL.

 

I was scummy to you. Train wasn't happening.

Lily was scummy to you. You voted her.

Thane moved to scummy to you because of VT comment. You were willing to vote him.

Other train was Hally. You had an exactly null read on her because her actions weren't alignment indicative to you. Null means not town. Why were you not willing to lynch her as well?

I'm starting to see Shad's POV in all this. A lot of it just feels like a matter of differing playstyles, but I'm getting the feeling that he legitimately thinks I'm scum. This does not feel like scum trying to mislynch. It was bugging me that he was annoyed that my lynch wasn't happening when he wasn't even trying to get it going. Now that he has actually came at me, I'm not worried about him anymore.

 

After asking about why Hally wasn't in his WTL again, it finally clicked. He had 3 people as scum. Why would he also include is null? When it was 2 nulls, and only including one of the 2 equally null, it didn't make sense. Now it does.

I was going to question how her read changed from agreeing that Lily/Thane team didn't make sense to Lily/Thane team likely, but the reasoning for the first instance was Lily's town read of Thane, an unpopular read.

 

But I can see how Lily's rapid read change of Thane could change Tab's mind on the team prospect.

 

Still not sure how I feel about the fact that our reads lists were identical, swapping each other for nulls.

2. Shad - For the longest time I had him as town. Then it started to bug me that he was scumreading me without pushing for my lynch, which is a scum tactic. Cast suspicion on someone and hope others notice. But during our exchange today, it hasn't felt like he's trying for a mislynch. So I'm back to thinking he's town.
3. Sooh - Sooh is a big ??? to me. I thought I had something with her leaving her joke vote. I have been convinced that I was wrong. That it is just something she does. Apparently it's something a lot of people do. I have never noticed. After I stopped suspecting her for the vote, I actually don't remember anything else she has done. I need to ISO her, but she's in null for simply slipping my mind.
4. Hallia - Claimed cop. I have issues with her. I don't like that she's ignoring questions about why she voted her. I don't like that part of her "reason" doesn't match the events. I still think she's probably scum. But I'm not going to lynch an uncc'd cop. If Lily ever flips mafia (non GF), she is so going down.
5. Zander, Ugly Naked Guy, vanilla town was nk´d N1
6. Eldrick - Town LDO
7. Lily - Hally claims town view of her. I'm still annoyed over her comment D1. It still feels like overexplaining and a scum tell. I can't fathom how town would say what she said. That comment aside, though, she has been very towny. I am convinced I was initially wrong about her.
8. Taborline - Not much content, but it's good game solving content. Explaining how she feels about the events of the game. Asking people why they did what they did. Probably town.
9. Turin - I haven't ISO'd him in a while, but I remember liking what I saw when I did. Lily and Zander were scumreading him, and I wanted to see what they saw. I couldn't figure it out. His play has been solidly town. Sure, he focused on Thane a bit. Sure. He was wrong. But I'm not seeing him being scum.

 

I have a problem. I am misclearing at least one person.

Big question on my mind right now is why Zander?

 

Need to find out who he was suspecting, and who was clearing him.

4 scenarios to Hally viewing Lily as town.

Hally is town. Lily is GF

Hally is cop. Lily is town.

Hally/Lily scum team. Hally fake claimed clearing her teammate.

Hally is scum and spewed Lily town with a fake claim.

 

1 and 2 are virtually the same in terms of mechanics. That's the whole point of GF. Hally being cop means squat about Lily's alignment. Only a red view is a useful view.

3 and 4 are risky. They are banking on the idea that there isn't a cop in the game, because a cc would ruin it and most assuredly get Hally killed. Firsthand knowledge from last game that fake cop claims only have a chance to work at lylo.

 

Now Lily was competing train for D1. Easily considerable as today's lynch. Scenario 4 doesn't make sense. Scum!Hally would have left Lily alone and let her get mislynched.

 

So either Hally is town, or it's a Hally/Lily scum team.

My wtl right now is from Eldrick, Lily, Hallia and Shad. I'm still thinking Sooh and Tab are town.

 

Eldrick: has said the most pingy things all game. Latest was post breaking down hallia and lily options. One line in particular about how fake claims only work at lylo. This is false in a game with no cop. Then you want to claim at the most opportune time. Even using the fact it isn't lylo as a cloak.

 

Lily: yesterday train. This must now be linked to hallia. Since lily is hallia's view. That half of her "current" reads list was cut and paste from the previous one Is troubling for me also.

 

Hallia: late switch in attempt to hammer Thane (dead townie). If Lily is town then it means very little but if lily is mafia then it means she is pretty much confirmed as Lily's partner.

 

Shad: I am a bit concerned about his back and forth irt to Eldrick. Also that he has ramped up during the night. I know he likes to be mafia and likes to win. This is a bit of tinfoil.

 

I'm gonna be out mIst of the day. I will try to do some reading later.

I don't usually hard unvote, even a joke vote. I leave it there until I find someone scummy or more scummy. I would have in this case if there had been a quick train on Thane and more than two votes were on him, but right now my joke stays where it is

That's a dangerous way to play. What if your joke vote gets a townie lynched because you left it on them, and didn't have time to move it?

Joke votes are fine. They are expected. Leaving them on without a solid reason is scummy imo.

I didn't realize you were saying I might use it as an excuse to lurk even if I am town, which is a weird thought to me because I don't think towns look for excuses to lurk, but I'm getting the impression that's really what you meant to suggest, so I suppose the statement's null.

As for Sooh's reaction to my vote, I'm not sure how to take it yet. I don't remember if that's how she plays or not, and I'm not just taking her word for it. I didn't, and still don't, like the concept of leaving a joke vote on someone after stating that it's a joke vote. She hasn't stated a reason to leave it there, and her continuing to do so has bought her my vote.

 

Feel free to go back and look in my other games, especially the most recent ones. I tend to stay put until I have a reason to switch. Thanks for giving me one I guess.

Sooh's vote felt like a joke vote. It was null to me, and didn't feel at all like Sooh and Turin being on a team together. Someone pointed out that 2 votes matter when there's only 9 people (5 to lynch) and that is why I reacted so strongly to there already being 2 votes on someone. Felt like someone taking advantage of a vote vote to get closer to a lynch. I didn't read Turin's vote as a joke vote.

Irt my comment at shad. I know having a headache affects gameplay. I just didn't want to see you use it as an excuse to lurk.

This post feels scummy to me. It's as if he doesn't want attention. "Nothing to see here..."

The back and forth between Eld and Sooh is odd. Eld you really seem to be driving hard at Sooh for what is, to me, nothing too scummy? From recollection, Sooh does tend to put a joke vote out there and then just wait until she is ready to vote for whoever she wants. Your back tracking about Turin could be a townie thing to do, admitting you were wrong, but it could also be an effort to try and turn eyes away from you. I'm not ready to vote for you yet, but of everyone you seem the scummiest.

Thank you tab for giving me another perspective in how she plays. That's why I asked if this is something she normally does. I couldn't find proof of it in her recent games.

I can also see your point on how my backtracking on Turin could look bad. I'm not on a scum team with Thane again.

Ok. I went back to check the last 2 games. To compare them to what you did here.

GnD you voted Zander cuz of the petition. You unvoted when you woke up the next day, because it was a joke vote, and you thought he was town.

Supernatural you joke voted BG, welcoming him back to the game. You decided to leave the vote on as a reaction test, because he didn't respond to your vote.

In this game, first you say you intended to remove it, but you forgot. Then, when I asked you about it, you said you don't normally unvote until you find a scummy target. Was GnD a fluke, then?

 

 

 

Can you point me to another game where you mention your joke vote, and leave it there without further reasoning? Because that is my issue here. If you can show me you doing it as town in another game, then I won't be suspicious of you doing it here.

 

 

I'm not going to dredge through games looking for a reason not to vote you. Your actions this game are suspicious to me, and that's all that matters.

A couple of reasons I'm not voting Eldrick:

1) Like I said before, every vote is a big deal in a game this small. We have time. That's why I asked about a deadline. 

2) He can't always be scum, and I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt until I can't anymore. He'll get there soon enough if he's scum.

Z, they both claimed character and role. I don't care about the characters TBH. They gave the names but I did not get the impression either of them thought it was an automatic clear for giving them. In both those games you were claiming like your character in one and your PM colour in the other AUTOMATICALLY LOCK CLEARED YOU AS TOWN. That isn't what either of them did. They gave the info and went about their business (or can you show me where either of them did). You are trying to compare apples and oranges.

 

If you don't have Thane as Town why do you seem so adamant to not believe anything bad of him? Did you ever read him and give thought like I asked for earlier? 

 

So before it was me and Shad and now it is me and Lily. It seems you are very convinced I am mafia. If you are so sure why are you still voting Lily?

Hallia has 8 posts, which is more than I remember her having. She hasn't done much this game except vote me with no reason. I want an explanation for the vote and more content from her.

Hally's agreeing with me felt like it could be pocketing (I said as much at the time). Then she voted the person that was already gaining suspicion, without a reason. When asked for why she voted Lily, her only response has been Lily's unvote. She has mentioned it twice, but it can't be a valid reason as it happened after she voted.

After my reread, this is how I'm feeling. A lot of it is intuitive rather than having actual hard reasons, but it is what it is. 

 

1. Thane – If I had to decide on him right now, I’d lean scum.

2 mins after Tabs question she takes the time to respond that she cant answer it shes busy but cant even give some off the top of the heads reasons without quotes, I mean she just did 2 reads list and said she just ISO'd Thane less then an hour ago

Hallia: late switch in attempt to hammer Thane (dead townie). If Lily is town then it means very little but if lily is mafia then it means she is pretty much confirmed as Lily's partner.

 

Shad: I am a bit concerned about his back and forth irt to Eldrick. Also that he has ramped up during the night. I know he likes to be mafia and likes to win. This is a bit of tinfoil.

This is true in essence, but we don't KNOW there isn't a cop. More importantly, mafia doesn't know that. IMO mafia wouldn't risk fake claiming, wouldn't risk the cc, if they couldn't win with it.

I just reread Hally's post where she votes Lily, and I don't like it at all.

 

She points out reasons why she has me as town, which could very easily be buddying up to me. Then she "joins me" on Lily's train.

 

Her vague reason of "lily's gameplay" has never been expanded upon.

 

I can't believe I'm actually considering lynching the uncc'd cop, but that's where I'm at.
