I can't recall ever seeing Dice be a townie. But then again I am probably forgetting one game.

 

This game, I think Dice is pretty solidly townie. It's in his tone and sense of humor. I sense something good here.

 

 

fwiw:  DIce can replicate his Town game early on.  It's as the game progresses that you can see the difference.

I'm sure some folks can and will look like a townie this early and have that be wrong-

 

I can't pick out who is legit a townie and who looks just like one this early. Gotta save those peeps for investigations, vigs, late game lynches, or figure it out cold.

 

What I can do is look at the folks who might be giving it away this early that they're not a townie.

 

The danger is latching on to a townie that looks just like a scumbag, and I'm trying pretty hard to tell the difference. But my suspects gotta work with me and help me see what the difference is.

Tabor and BFG are looking townie but there's almost no confidence of the read. Nothing scummy here so far.

I think this kind of reads list this early in a game is kinda forced.  But for Pizza I don't think this is alignment indicative.

How to read me:

 

Interact with me, ask me questions, get me to put down my stances on everyone and say why on each one, then if I'm not nightkilled by mid-game then lynch or vig me, and if I'm a townie, make sure you lynch the folks I found scummy by mid-game.

 

No need to read me, because I'll be dead.

 

If I'm scum, try to figure out which townies I cleared correctly and why.

Confusing the generic with the specific.

 

That's another tactic I recognize as scummy.

 

You're picking at my finding NotBob suspicious because of his position on you, which I had as strongly scummy and his was "null", as opposed to finding NotBob suspicious because of his position on AJ, which I had as mildly suspicious and his was "null".

 

It's obvious why one would be more concerned about the stronger disagreement, and the pressure on NotBob exists.

 

So to claim that it's an example of inconsistency, is wrong and scummy. It's distortion at best.

 

Behaving like the last game you were in where you were total scum, and wildly differently from the last game I could find where you were townie, that's a legit problem.

 

The kinds of consistency arguments I find scummy are the former, not the latter.

 

And it should be obvious why. It's not a mistake that you're confusing the two examples. That's deliberate on your part, and it's a scummy argument.

I'm picking on your position on Notbob because it's crap.

 

Again, you're creating a false dichotomy where the results are both favorable to your argument.

There is another possibility that you aren't allowing into the discussion with regards to Notbob.

 

That aside though, what you're saying here is true so I don't get why you think using it as a defense is a good idea.

You find Notbob suspicious because of his position that's in disagreement with you on me but not where he's in disagreement with you on AJ.

I don't see why it would make any difference whether you find me a lot scummy and AJ a little scummy because the subject of the discussion here is Notbob and why you're reading him the way you do.

It's not as useful, I want to know from people who read someone townie a lot that they're reading someone differently, and why.

 

It doesn't count if you guess they're always scum. That's the least useful guess to me because it's going to be wrong about 75% of the time, I might as well rand my vote.

I pointed them out in my post about two pages back. It was the vote on Lenlo and then the switch to Zander. The vote on Lenlo was odd, it feels like a joke vote but it doesn't seem to mesh with the intentions to get the game started on a serious note. So, that leaves me wondering what Snow saw in Lenlo to drop his vote there. Looking at the switch to Zander, Lenlo makes the vote and Snow says that Z hasn't checked in yet and votes him for the LOLs because he doesn't have anything better to go on at the moment.

 

None of this seems to align with his first intentions when he joined which was to get the game started. In #79 he stated there was more than enough people to start scumhunting, we just need to post thoughts. Yet I feel like he's been doing more goofing around than actually contributing to scumhunting. So here we are, and Snow is voting for a player who hasn't even checked in yet.

I am fine with giving Nolder time to sleep, read up, catch up, and respond, since he posted in the thread about it.

 

I am skeptical that he's a townie, but it was the first bit of concrete analysis I could come up with. I'm getting more concerned about NotBob actually.

 

 

I doing this off the top of my head but Im thinking he posted more as scum in British Monarchs then he did in Diablo as Town.  May be a tell.  He posted a fair bit in SW fwiw as Town but that was a huge game and went on a while.

I haven't seen NotBob as scum except once or twice, and the most recent one I didn't even realize it was him until it was pretty much over with (on JetsNation).

 

As a villager though, I think he's fairly easy to spot. He's low-volume as either alignment from what I can tell, so I wouldn't say that's much of an indicator but the way he conveys his thoughts/reads is hard to miss.

 

We'll see how he progresses from here and I don't wanna write his defense for him, but as Pizza pointed out if Nolder or NotBob is scum then the hesitant read doesn't look so good for the other.

Im getting flashbacks to Darthes game. Ive only played two games with pizza but what i remember of that game is that he was very wordy and very kivamy imo   kinda giving multiple possibilities    he was pulling strings.

 

Im worried thats what he is doing here. He may not be and im not gonna lynch him D1 but I AM keeping him in my null pile and watch him.

Null is a position. Dismissing suspicion on someone you have no opinion is not something I recognize as a legitimate process.

He said he was null. Null is a read. and   to me   he seemed to be saying that a particular THING about Nolders posts was null for him.

 

Kinda like someone (not me) saying Yates fakeclaiming is null for him. He does it LOTS  its normal for him. there are a few people who can read yates based on it so he maybe isnt null to those PARTICULAR people.

 

Now swap nolder for Yates and maybe  NB isnt one of those particular people.
