Well I can't sleep, so I might as well eat. Sleeping and eating, my two favorite hobbies.I am leaning voting for Zander, I have not done so because I see others have voted for him and I do not wish to create a runaway wagon which may harm discussion and relieve pressure on everyone else as well.If the game is multiball, as I understand the term, that means we have a large number of guilty parties.The discussion will, invariably, die if there are a large number of guilty parties and almost no reason for them to feel under pressure.What will happen next is easy smokescreening. Saying Zander is your lynch choice today implies that you intend to move your vote there. It doesn't add up with you calling it a runway train. You're just waiting for the right moment to put your vote on him, and that looks really bad. If you really do think he's scum, there is no reason to not put your vote on him.

 

 

Yes there is indeed a reason. You don't get to make such sweeping declarations.

 

And if you were at all curious what the reason was, you'd ask, but you're not actually looking for an answer, but a conclusion.

I did go read my statement again. It's the fact that he is new and speculating with no actual information from flips coroner reports night actions or what have you that peaked my suspicion. None of the other speculators that I noticed fell under the same criteria that caused me to find Eld suspicious.

defense of Pizza logic noted. I want to hear pizza give his own reasons and not get a free out by someone else answering for him

In a game I hosted, Star Wars: Fall of the Order, which was a pretty large game, a scanner with an unreliable investigation power that he did not fully understand got a result on someone, and posted it for all to see. That person was then lynched by almost 30 or 40 votes.

 

And, an actual scumbag was getting pressure before then. After the wagon formed, everyone jumped on it.

 

It was quite silly. No further discussion was had, the votes just kept piling up.

 

The next day, a massive wagon began to form on the investigator with the unreliable scan.

 

All pressure was removed from the actual scums for a very long time.

 

Even if you have a scan that someone is guilty, even if you personally believe they are, if several people think someone is guilty, acknowledge it, but never.

 

Never.

 

Ever.

 

Create a large bandwagon.

 

Not until it is time to lynch someone.

 

It kills discussion and it kills villagers and it kills analysis and even if you killed a wolf, none of the other wolves are under any pressure.

 

There's no stress. They don't have to fret about trying to save their partner, since they can't anyway.

 

A close tally is one where analysis can later take place.

 

Discussion can.

 

And each individual vote matters.

 

You create a large wagon and then, mostly, any further votes do not matter at all unless they are to create a second wagon.

 

I don't like to use the term stupid in games, but a large wagon, even with just cause, is often what I call a "stupidwagon".

 

I was the host of the game I referenced, and my eagle's perspective on the matter allowed me to see the single worst play a village can make.

 

That play being, self-destruction by purposefully creating a large wagon on one suspect and compounding it over and over.

 

I avoid even the slightest whiff of that in every game since, except for one I believe has vote manipulation powers.

 

I'm not questioning his prodding everybody. It's a good idea. Something I'm not very good at, but I'm still glad it's being done. My issue is with his voting. These are two very different things.

 

I will listen carefully to your reasons why pressuring more than one suspect at a time is incorrect.

 

 

To me so far it seems to be a misunderstanding which is not related to his alignment, but Pizza will answer in his own words regardless of what I say. It'll probably be a block of text too, because that's the sort of person he is; he goes overboard.

 

My goal was to stop v/v tunneling if that's what it is.

There's a good chance EP is mafia after failing to connect his reads. First he approves of Eldrick's case on Pizza, expresses a desire for Pizza to respond in his own words, and doesn't like me defending Pizza, and then he says he's suspicious of Eldrick.

 

His read on me and Pizza, and his approval of Eldrick's case on Pizza is disharmonious with his scum read of Eldrick. He both has a town read of Eldrick, and a scum read of Eldrick. It can't be both, so he's faking his reads, and so I'm sticking my vote on EP over Zanders at eod.

Pizza - I´m not sure how it is where you play but this is a big game and an early vote won´t lead to a fast train. We rarely have quick lynches here, especially when there are so many needed to reach a lynch. How do you preassure people enough without voting them?

I would not know this. I have only my many years of experience to draw upon in a new place.

I've watched many a games where someone has noted actions statements and defenses just for the simple purpose of having it noted. This is what I was doing nothing more nothing less I don't like that you're trying to make a big deal out of it. Let's put it this way, if I find a person suspicious I'm not going to use some ambiguous statement to tell people. Caae in point how I said I was starting to be suspicious of Eld. Not an ambiguous, it was simple and to the point. However I'm not going to argue this point out any longer, there's no reason to.
