well, the orientation of this twisted spine suggests that he enjoyed morning walks with his dog. not too many evil people are into that. also, this skull fragment is the exact shape of a thumbs up. or, a thumbs down if you turn it this way.... hmmm... let's look at the face for a bit. wait, that's not his face, that's..... yeah i don't know what that is.

so, no. 8)

Yes, I have to concur with your hypothesis Mr. Dude, the random synapse firings is a clear cut sign of randomness in the occipital lobualar front of... the doo hickie.

I'd kind of like the coroner finder result on Johnny Solstice right about now. Maybe it would help me understand a little something that happened yesterday.

While we're waiting, Raena, want to tell me why you switched the lynch train from Johnny Solstice to Good Grief yesterday? Both were modkill targets and the reasons for voting them were about the same. Only for some reason you didn't want to lynch Johnny Solstice. Now we don't have a coroner finder result on Johnny Solstice yet so for all I know you directed the lynch off an evil partner and onto an innocent. What happened? Liked the look of Johnny Solstice? Took exception to GoodGrief's face? Or did you take a look at the evil team sheet?

And while we're about it ... Danya! Why don't we talk about your voting? At 10.53am I voted Johnny Solstice. At 10.54am you voted Johnny Solstice. At 1.08pm Kison voted Kison. At 1.23pm you voted Kison. On both occasions you voted in the next post you made. (edit: in the intervening period Raena started the vote for GoodGrief but you didn't post until after Kison's vote.) I'm sensing a bit of a theme here. What happens if I vote Raena? Because looking at the above pattern ... the next post you make will be a vote for Raena.

I just didn't want to jump on a bandwagon. I wouldn't call it switching a lynch train since the only ones who had voted for Johnny were you and Danya. At that time I wouldn't say we would knew they were both modkill targets. At least I didn't.

I'd also like a coroner finder result on Johnny. If he was guilty I guess I'm in a bad position, but I will cross that bridge when I get to it. :P

Is starting a bandwagon inherently superior to jumping on one? I only ask because you happily watched and encouraged all the votes pile onto your target of choice. I guess the only good lynch train is one you start yourself? :P

How was I supposed to know that I would be starting a bandwagon? And I hardly encouraged it, unless you count one post when there were two hours left until the deadline. As you said yourself, we would have been better off with a lynch than with going to night.

It's true that a lynch is better than no lynch. Tell you what - I'll leave it until we finally get the result on Johnny Solstice. If he's evil, you look awful suspicious all of a sudden. If he's innocent, my pet theory falls apart. And I won't have to go back and look over the thread again for a while. :P

Raena, you should know this game by now...how could vote on someone new and then not expect a bandwagon to follow..

What if we don't get a Coroner finder on JS. It would seem odd that we don't get an answer.

Last time I voted for someone first - and they were evil - no one bandwagoned, so no, I can't say I know this game by now. Why everyone chose to jump on my bandwagon I can't say, but I'm pretty sure there are some evils hiding among those who voted for GoodGrief after I did.

Posted

Well that is true, new people always get the bandwagon, but exceptions have been seen I mean look at how Danya voted for Kison and no one followed. And Sira the voting pattern might have something to do with old roles but twisted in some strangely absurd way... if y'know what I mean.

one thing that makes me wonder...

sirayn: In some previous games you have claimed (no link...) going to night directly is better than having an innosent lynch. This time it was better to risk lynching an innocent that no lynch at all.

Why is this?

Im not saying your a baddie. just asking questions.

I can't remember ever saying that - and if I did say it I can't remember whether I was evil or innocent at the time. :P (edit: it was probably an odd-even situation in which not lynching can be used to great effect.) But here goes!

To lynch or not to lynch? It depends on whether you have a coroner finder or not, whether you reasonably believe there's a finder or not, how many players there are and various other factors. Sometimes the odd-even rule applies. And some other stuff.

In the current circumstances I think it's better to lynch because:

1. The setup suggests one evil team and one innocent team. Therefore, unless they're smoking some strong stuff out there, our chance of an evil player being night killed is 0%.

2. Our chance of lynching an evil player, while small, is >0%. (edit: to make this explicit, barring the strange circumstance of evil players being modkilled, this means that lynching is our only chance of taking out an evil player.)

3. There is a coroner finder. We gain information from every lynch.

4. The odd-even rule cannot be applied in my view because the setup implies too much weird stuff to predict that accurately. Maybe we should go for a no-lynch later if the variables have thinned out enough to follow the odd-even rule.

That's a basic overview. There are probably other factors to consider but I can't remember them offhand.

well. I only remember cause it was one of the few times the innocents won, and you were on the innocent team, and suggested a lynchfree first night. just to see if we could get any clues or finder results.

well. anyway, Im not accusing you.

I must have been using the odd-even rule - this says that in very limited circumstances, going to night is a good idea because it gives you an extra day before the endgame and one person less from which to choose the final game-ending lynch. I haven't even looked to see whether it would call for a lynch or a no lynch right now because it just shouldn't be used in the early stages of a weird game. :)

 Eh eh.... I was neglectful uh Johnny-Solstice was and innocent
