you sound terribly defensive Yates....

You sound terribly offensive....

It's important that you guys believe our mason claim because otherwise we aren't NK targets. And really, what good are masons if not for bullet shields/confirming the partner as an IC the day after an NK?

Here's what i propose Yates, Pral, Hallia.... best thing to do for now is to keep the previous pages in mind, look for other people to come in and work from there. No need to get frustrated this early D1, right?

Personal note: no fan of early claims. And claiming should only be done if necessary in context of the game.

Also, you both sound like idiots for even challenging this. Until you give me a realistic win scenario for scum goons claiming mason you can both sit and stew under my finger of suspicion.

What's the benefit of holding back on a Mason claim, Thane?

my opinion: Being masons would be the only role you have. SO there are two people who can chat, great. They will not be targeted by NA's, the other players (who are more likely to have PR's) on the other hand, will. So, claiming masons this early is like giving wolves a free card to target other people

I said OR MAFIA GOON. I did not call him a mafia goon

Well, that reads as "I think you could be a goon." And I think you know that.

Still waiting for you to count the number of people that tripped the "take no action" trigger.

Yates, you are splitting hairs here. He said he was VT because he hadn't posted and triggered no role, Hallia was just pointing out he could also be the Vanilla equivalent of town - goon. The fact that you have claimed masons with him doesn't really come into play there.

I don't care how many people tripped it or even if it was or not, it came off like he would be taken as VT with no question

Well you are right to question it but you are questioning it for the wrong reason. Alanna was the last person to post before all roles were triggered. There were exactly two people left who hadn't posted. That's right, me and Pral. Tell me a scenario where scum goons win the game by claiming MASONS early in Day 1. If either of us were to be copped, tracked, watched, or whatever and left our homes OR if either of us were killed by an SK or Vig we would both be outed as scum.

I'm not going to accept paranoia on our slots. We are confirmed Town by claim and by action [or lack thereof].

There are still way too many variables in this game to confirm anyone. I'm not paranoid on either of your slots - but it's Day 1 and I'm treating the rest of you like everyone else in the game, as suspect. I'm not a fan of clearing anyone this early in the game based on role speculation, especially when we have no idea what roles are involved.

Okay, Yate's mason claim reads like he built up to it. The flow is right, insofar as a town can think like this and make that claim. Furthermore the claim itself is convoluted enough that the spontaneity of the strategy is likely town-alligned.

Though, and I put emphasis on this part, it is yates and it is premature, and there is very little chance scum will believe it. The claim is also not very well thought out.

This is useless nit-picking mate.

Getting town-ish vibes from Yates here, though. And also from Hallia, which is super weird for me lol.

Why are you getting town vibes from Yates?

I get town vibes because I expect Yates to be a pro scum, and this is not pro-scum play in a vaccuum.

But I don't get town vibes from his content.

I disagree. I think you guys are the ones splitting hairs/nitpicking. Pral said he didn't do anything thus he was VT. Hally said "or Goon." That isn't simple list making. That's Hally challenging the claim by SUGGESTING that he could also be a goon. That's an important distinction. Scum want to keep as many people in the scum pool as possible for as long as possible.

I'm choosing to take it as a joke, as in a conscious OR THIS post.

Pralaya was never out of the suspect pool, and hallia's so called nudge (which wasn't really a nudge, but more like a correction of the assertion), was in essence the same thing I managed when I told you not posting could also be a trigger.
