Nice to be playing in a game. I'll see what's up after I learn how to take care of a baby in my infant care class tonight. I guess shaking babies like a martini is supposedly "bad" now. Who knew?

Then I REALLY don't understand your post.  I would assume any read somebody has at this stage would be tentative.  If you're jumping up and down screaming "(whoever) IS TOWN!  100% GUARANTEED" at this stage, I would assume that's a TMI thing because nobody's said anything.  

 

So you pointing out your reads on Yates, BFG, Jmm, and me being tentative seemed unnecessary.  But if your read on Cass is also tentative, why didn't you caveat it the same way and instead used the caveat that she would be town unless she's played some games as mafia?

None! I'm still (somewhat nervously) awaiting my first rand as scum... For now I'm honestly still quite happy to just keep being Town and keep learning/figuring out how to solve the puzzles!!

 

TBH though Sili, I find this question slightly odd coming from you, considering that you've played both of the two only 'extended' games I've been in and I mentioned this in the sign up thread when Tina asked if I'd played before. You should already know that I've only been Town...

 

Even though you say you've got me as Town, my gut's wondering if you're trying to set me up as scum... Yes, it's early and I may already have a habit of always reading you as scum, but still...

It was different only in Cass' case since her opening is actually a lot less likely to come from her first wolf game; I was more certain and I wanted to convey something beyond the obvious: that the read depended on the veracity of her inexperience. 

 

Just because I didn't say something doesn't mean I'm not thinking it.

First, I've said this before, and I'll say it again - what's irrelevant to you isn't necessarily irrelevant to me.  Your reads were by far the most substantial thing in the game to the point I brought it up.  I would much rather try to judge you off something like that the meaningless posts from the first page.

 

Second, no, miscommunication doesn't make someone scum.  But your role PM might make you scum, and it's my job to figure that out.  I can ask for an explanation on what seems like some inconsistency between several statements you made, or I can ignore it.  I think everyone can agree the former is going to be more helpful than the latter.

I thought it was obvious what happened and didn't want to clutter the thread. You're welcome try to figure me out, and you can ask and I can answer, Inconsistencies are terribly important. I remember catching one wolf who in the first 300 posts changed his behavior.

@ Clov - Just that it was odd that he would 'call' me Town 'like everyone else' but do it in a way that casts doubt/insinuates that I might be different from the others he listed...

 

Kinda feels like the same as my first game where the Scum mostly said 'I have her as Town,' and then carefully insinuated it was possible I could be Scum because it was plausible that I could be being helped. The doubt that move cast over the rest of Town haunted/followed me for the whole freaking game.

 

I feel like it was a search for something similar to push against me in this game: 'I have her as Town, BUT she could be pulling the wool over your eyes/could be Scum now because even though she's fairly new, she's had experience being Scum before...'

 

Since I know I'm Town again (and probably also because I'm once bitten, twice shy) it pings/makes me wary.

 

Does that make any sense? (I'm typing this on phone whilst trying not to ignore the toddler - let me know if doesn't)

 

Also, you read the last game, right? Do you think something different??

FTR - it was Town that brought up the possibility of you being scum in that game. I bring this up only in an effort to prevent confusion regarding potential narrative spinning accusations that could follow.
