I may not have shared my perceptions on others yet, but trust me, I've got them.  With no impending lynch or deadline, I see no reason to divulge what I'm thinking yet.

I used to play on IRC which was based off forums for CyberNations.  It's been a few years since I was regularly involved with that game.

What alliance were you in and what was your username. This is important.

Mostly very early posts - role is fresh in mind, first post sets tone for at least the early game, and scum try to come across as town as possible.  Anything seeming too town is suspicious to me, but again, I've never played with anyone here, so my reads are completely blind.

And yet, they were all concensus reads.

 

I did not like Tina or Halli's first posts (page 1 and 2 respectively).  Nothing definite for now, but I am watching them.

Because the rest is just fluff until something actually happens.  The only thing to go on is first impression or, if you want to (and I don't), 20 some pages of mostly random posting.

Seems an aggressive stance for a new player.

 

I still fail to see how me saying "ooo I'm a townie, and here's who I think are scum and why" over and over makes me any less likely to be scum.  Anyone can do this, and probably will.  I'm coming at this from a little different angle which seems to be bothering people.  That's fine if you're bothered by it, but analyze without going all crazy aggressive.  The ability to analyze anyone is the standard for a star mafia player.

Is consistent, at least. This could be entirely true.

 

This was the oversell on buying our claim that Hally and I discussed:

I don't like pral's read on HalliYates. 

 

Yates' role claim is extremely early in the game.  This leaves tons of time for it to backfire in some way shape or form.  Not a good mafia play.  Either Yates is a mafia trying to throw an aggressive Cory off his trail and live another day or two (possible, but still not a good survival plan), or HalliYates really is a townie with potential to extend other town lives.  I have to believe the second is far more likely, even though I too was initially suspicious of HalliYates (and still not 100% convinced). 

Because odds are HalliYates is either a town or a really risky and probably soon to be exposed mafia, town probably shouldn't be reading them as scum. Town should want another town around, especially one who can extend the life of another town member.

Remember why he voted for Sili? Makes this make no sense:

Nothing about Sili feels right… I've seen nothing to change my mind from where I voted a few days ago.  If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but consider me locked in unless I see something big that changes my mind.

I'm concerned that he made a placeholder vote then couldn't justify his way out of it.

 

Why in the world would I, if I was mafia, post at all?  Much simpler to let sleeping dogs lie and coast into the end of day one, no?  The only reason I can think of would be to defend another mafia, but all my post said was I was staying as is.

As stated previously, that move can also be perceived as scum diggin in on a placeholder vote they couldn't justify their way out of.

 

[@Sili] I fail to see why I need to do anything, when you are the one on the chopping block here.

Enough said.

 

TL/DR - not a super Townie ISO but no smoking gun. There's a lot to be uncomfortable about however too much of it is explainable by him being a newer player. This is a no greater than random to be Town slot. Sorry.

this has been very active 30 hours!!!!! i reread all post twice to make sure i got things right.... here is what i think

Gets me ready for a nice reads list or summarized thought on the thread. Instead, we get this. Which he even edited.

 

Still waiting for you to do SOMETHING with this, Err. What was the point??

 

His next 2 posts are basically play by plays on what happened in the thread.

 

@manbat.... i did not find in any post where you come out against silly as mafia and yet you vote for him out of the blue and couple of people follow you (tommy, cory)... its weird its not in the vote count... i have to check that one again.

This is the first post I would consider legit content/involvement in the game.

 

.... giving opinion does not mean the purpose is acting super townish... but for us to know where you allegiance lie.... even tough its day one.... we are past the point were we do not have enough to go on for commenting.

i am probably going to vote for either sleeper, tommy, corymish, dicecsarmi or manbat once i re-read everything that happened in the last 24 hours again.

So that's nearly 1/2 the game in the lynch pool. Why this half?

@2: yes is someone hard claims mafia, i am going to take it seriously..... at first i thought survivor was a towny role with some sort of day time inspection powers.... until wikied the role.... that is y now i am also back tracking on sleeper being mafia... i have not much to go on for him now.

 

@3: a bit defensive?? dont you think?? no one is linking you and monstr in the post you quoted, and in the reply you are also reiterating that monstr is very little scummy enough to keep an extra eye on him. so i dont know what you were trying to clarify.

I will admit, I kind of liked this take on events in his catch up post [particularly the bold]:

i was in the phase of writing my analysis but i will post what ever i have now anyway....

 

@ corry and Yates stand off:

apart from references that i didnt understand (VT game, Krak game, POG, VS, discoworld, Des reference, doc who, Firefly) throughout the standoff cory was pushing yates for lynch. i thought yates didnt crack under pressure. for which i leaned town on both corry and yates. until yates reveled his role. which i believe is the truth. 

something interesting happened tough in between.... which cory was building momentum for yate lynch and trying to convince others to join in. jmm and manbat casually also started suspecting yates over things that i thought were very innocent. potentially making grounds for there lynch vote on yates look legit later on.

 

after yates revealed his character. manbat changed his vote for sili... while i would think he would have voted for leno, jmm, Pral or Yates, based on his suspicion list.. (which will also be uploaded soon)

 

so for the time being im leaning mafia for manbat. and will vote for him unless something else pops up in the last few pages

Were Lenlo and Hoya consensus scum reads at this point? I'll have to check. If not, this is a reasonable reads list.

Less village equity than jmm at first glance. His day end play has me more concerned than anything else. Null/scum lean.

I can see his Tommy vote from his pov. And even if I hate his reads list, it's consistent with what I think he's thinking.

 

You know what? I've read enough.

 

Lenlo is Town this game.
