Are there a finite number of days available? Does the game end on D5? How can mislynches be "lost"?

 

If a day phase is skipped, it means the town loses power. The mafia can kill a consensus townie, and then the next day is the same as the skipped day would have been... but with one less town voice helping to solve the game.

 

His version of events is mechanically incorrect, and I don't know what you see that makes sense.

then day 2 we lynch someone again and  then mafia nk someone  thats 4 down

 

it is possible that all 4 are townies

thats only 3 dead not 4  itws the same if we lynch you instead of mafia kills you.

Dice the issue with your logic is that forfeiting the lynch gives up TOWN'S MOST RELIABLE METHOD OF ELIMINATING MAFIA.

 

Saying "oh, but we could have mislynched a townie!!" is basically just admitting defeat from the get-go. Why aren't you advocating a no-lynch every phase?

I think Dice just hasn't been in a game with a Princess before and hasn't thought it through.  But yes, if a beloved role is activated it's like the next day was a no lynch - but without any day talk.  In this forum?  It's not as huge of a deal because we have night chat for things like sharing results and/or seeing flips and discussing for reassessment.

I'm always somewhat surprised when DM towns get surprised when ~villagery people get NKed. I remember in Discworld like 2 times Verbal got all "Oh, why did they have to kill player x? He was such an obvious townie!" like it's the Mafia's job to do town favors. Maybe it's just the meta change where Mafia groups have evolved past the "No Info NK" so tied into the DM culture.
