No, it means you're using null tells to try and pin him down as a wolf. I am refuting your points saying "Tom is strongarming, therefore wolf" etc by saying

This is probably easier in a game with seer cover but you are imposing your limitations in "reasoning" on us

 

monstr is basically laying out his own meta for you and it's 100% true; he prides himself in being villagery early in either alignment and him tripling-down when the stakes come out for it is a >> rand villager move for him, but he'll be much easier to read Day 2 and beyond

 

Tommy is just Tommy and it's funny that you bitched last game for "not being cleared because you're such a good wolf" when that's basically what you are mauling Tommy for right now

Anyway, as I was saying before this interruption:

 

Apathetic town cory. What does it look like? We've seen several incarnations of this, and two come to mind immediately.

 

Blackhoof's Cthulu game -- this was before I knew he had this side to him. I came in guns blazing calling him a lock wolf because he wasn't being his usual aggressive self. He was kinda mopey and blasé. We all know how that went; he was town.

 

Des's ABBA game -- I think this is the one we were a hydra. When cory is a hydra he feel like he can do less to prove his towniness and rely on his other half to show it. He was more of a sidecar player here, popping in when he felt strongly about something. He wasn't a thread leader.

 

And there's one other game cory was a hydra that I can't recall with whom, but he acted similarly to how he has here. Not a thread leader, but still cocky when he speaks.

 

And here's the difference for you, Key:

 

When cory is town and is being snarky or seems emotional, the underlying mood is sardonic arrogance. He's kind of a dick because he knows he's right. He's more patronizing and will look down on people who he thinks are being stupid. That was showing through a little bit here today and made it easy for me to give him an early green read.

 

When cory is scum and is being snarky or seems emotional, the underlying mood is forged bravado. It's a fake arrogance because he knows you're right but wants you to feel bad about it so you give up. Here him being patronizing isn't with the intent to teach, it's to harm.

 

If you look for the underlying subconscious mannerisms between "strict headmaster (town)" and "television bully personality (scum)", you'll pick up on what I'm talking about.

 

Town Cory is like a pissed off Bill Nye, scum Cory is like a pissed off Glenn Beck.

Discworld was the easiest game on here in months to village in (well, Day 1  ) because the volume was controlled and everyone had to contribute and talk without being able to say "the thread is too big and I'm not reading it"

So far, there haven't been ten million WoT, so I think this one is pretty easy to keep up with.
