Before I get fully caught up tho I will say I just saw the flip and with Kates being town my DT being Symp theory is def shot. It's still possible that he was going super bus, and the way he backed off Lenlo D1 still is something to keep in mind, but I'm gonna put that on the backburner for now

 

Was really surprised to see Kates flip town (I saw one post briefly where Yates said he thought I could be a GF due to "tone"- I wasn't aware there was a "Godfather tone" ), but AJ was right in that they likely needed to be resolved one way or the other anyways so I'm glad the wifom is out of the way at least

As a brief aside tho- I'm kinda surprised some people thought TG's stuff on me was even decent/worth propping up as a good case. Imo it is fairly obvious that TG created a narrative and then went back to pull quotes to support it- basically EXACTLY like AJ said, if TG thought all this stuff about me D1, why did it take forever for him to actually post it? And he doesn't quote ANYTHING new from me or show a developing read or how newer events would affect that read- hence only looking for evidence to support his narrative.

 

TG my top scum read atm. Also looking at BFG (just criminally unimpressed with her #work this game, and she is a GREAT scumhunter as town even in limited posts). Krak seems like he could be a deep wolf, I might put off all the other moving in stuff I gotta do today to finally take a closer look at him. My POE looks pretty strong however and leaves only Vos as a potential candidate since BG is a common fake claim for scum, and Csarmi since well he is doing nothing to help town pretty much, and is only offering lazy little commentary here or there, no comprehensive analysis like he'd be doing as town by now.

I'm caught up.  Thoughts incoming.

 

1. Tommy and AJ remain LockClear.

 

2. Despo is >rand to be scum.  His constant "don't suspect me guys or my WiM will just drop and I won't want to play" is a cop out.  That and looking back to his spat with Tommy I remain by what I said, Tommy consistently gave Despo outs by stating "But if you were town you would be doing this" and Despo took those actions.  He was town!telling for a bit after the Tommy spat ended but then his recent chat about his WiM looks bad.  Especially because it was so hypocritical.  I've seen Despo talk about how he purposely tries to get under people's skin in order to put them off balance and get tells out of them.  And then in post 1900 he talks about how Tommy was only doing it to get under his skin and that isn't cool.  That and I always tinfoil when people say "but I would do this as scum" when he talks about how he uses AtE (p.96). 

 

3. Kates looks bad and I'm waiting to see something to convince me otherwise.  Else Kates is >>rand to be scum today.  I don't need to rehash.

 

4. Lan is my 3rd candidate for scum.  I'm willing to give the replacement here time to prove himself, but I can't get over the taste it left in my mouth when Arsis stated "I do this as scum" and the proceeded to do exactly that about saying he'd replace out and not.  He finally did so w/e, but I dont' like it.

 

5. Most of my other reads haven't changed, Thane is clean, no clue about DT but his hugely and sudden improved engagement worries me, CS is likely town.  Only person I need to go back and look hardcore at is Vos as he's said a few things that sketched me out.

 

1. LDO. Easiest "reads" in the world to give out as scum

 

2. As I already said, I feel like TG was pressured enough that he had to finally support his scum read on me so wants to keep pushing that I was taking "outs" from Tommy and then went back to pull quotes to support this narrative. Everything he mentions in this paragraph is all essentially from one single interaction in the game, and extremely early at that. If TG had truly found me scummy all game, he would be able to say a lot more about more recent posts of mine and how they justify his read on me

 

Also, if I was looking for "outs" during the spat with Tommy, wouldn't I have backed off when he first started soft claiming a PR? I call BS on TG's "outs" narrative

 

3. This is actually the scummiest part of this post for me. Just blatant bandwagoning of other's scum read on Kates. He doesn't give any justification for his read on that slot, just that he is "waiting to see something to convince me otherwise". Even says he doesn't need to rehash... even tho town should ALWAYS be willing to justify their reads so other townies can see that they're legit. Basically I think scum!TG knew he had an easy mislynch in Kates so didn't feel he needed to drive it home that much, just offer some lazy support to it

 

4. Well firstly I agree strongly that Arsis/Lan was prob spewed as town by Lenlo. So TG trying to keep him as a suspect here is meh. But what I don't like about this exchange is two things- "I'm wiling to give the replacement here time to prove himself" looks like an attempt at town cred, like TG is so gracious and stuff while ACTUALLY trying to keep some suspicion on the slot; and then saying that Arsis saying he'd do something as scum and then doing it... even tho that's not what happened since Arsis didn't have a fake tantrum but actually DID end up subbing out

 

5. Doesn't justify his Thane townread, blurb about DT looks a bit opportunistic, doesn't justify CS townread, and last bit about Vos makes me think TG at the last second thought he might have to distance from Vos
