Actually I take that back, pretty much the whole post gets a dislike.

 

 

It's like Vos can't decide if he wants to attack or defend Thrax.  

And his dig on Nolder is pretty opportunistic.  

I can understand playing the field, but you don't ask two girls out in front of each other.

And settles on reading X as 'gut town'

 

Also 4 reasons is kind of a lot to give as possible reasons for Red's behavior.

Town probably wouldn't need such a list

He also decides on option 1 which is a pretty neat way of making it look like he probably thinks Red is town without actually saying it.

1 and 4 are basically the same thing

Only 2 and 3 have factions associated with them

I'm warning you that it's better to play the game when the game actually starts because you're chasing phantoms and being laughed at and your first reaction is to shoot the messenger. Go ahead if it makes you happy though. I'd rather be shot early if this is the direction this game is going in for town.

I'd second the vig shot recommendation. I don't like these posts either. We haven't even started yet, as you've pointed out, and it's doom and gloom for town? Smells like fear mongering to me. Okay, nol everyone is stupid amd we'll all stop having fun and trying to pick up as much information as possible amd jusy.... follow your expert lead? You went for cautious town and came across as super scum.

Yes your post. It's not that you're necessarily digging for meta tells but you're casting suspicion on people for relatively nothing. What have I actually said that was bad really? Telling everyone they should relax and have some fun until the game actually starts? Is that really worth shooting someone over? Right now I have no scum reads on anyone, why should I, so I'm assuming that any given player is town. To me it looks really bad that townies are so ready to shoot each other over...nothing. I saw you all jump on the Lenlo thing and then turn on Red...and now me. This doesn't exactly fill me with confidence in this town. That's all I'm saying.

I want you to do me a favor, Nol.  Pretend you didn't write this post yourself.  Try really hard.

I thought it was funny in an ironic way because last avenger game I was scum and town had it's shit together.
Now, to me, it looks like that's not the case and I'm town.
 

Scum hunting during a N0/pre-day phase might be difficult and not always the most effective, but I'd rather see people doing that than have 70 pages of spam to wade through during re-reads.

Or, you know, we could all keep posting to a minimum and then it would have only been 5-10 pages of friendly banter...

Whatever though. Scum hunt all you want. That's your prerogative but I think it's a waste of time that is going to color all of your opinions for when the actual game starts.

 

 

Hey guess what  Regardless of whether you think the "actual game" starts when serious voting begins, or when people have their role PMs and start posting in the thread, early gameplay usually involves casing people on really minor evidence or meta tells or voting based on gut feelings.  Until we have a couple of flips to work from for solid evidence, you always have to start with "relatively nothing", then get reactions to that "relatively nothing", and decide what you think of those reactions.  Yes, the dawn phase "waste of time" as you put it will color our opinions because it's in the thread, and it's gameplay.

 

 

If town needs to "get its shit together" we start somewhere.  Your attitude is the least pro-town I've seen so far, so that's where I'm starting.

Nolder - null. i dislike his attitude, but he had the same type of antagonistic attitude in the last game i played with him and flipped town, so null read on him for it. tbh the convo about "how to play" is more of a distraction than the fluff he was griping about.

what sticks out most is his vote, or rather lack of an unvote before using the code to re-vote Arsis. (if you go back and look, he voted Verb first using the code, after quoting the voting rule and then he didn't unvote) could be an intentional mis-vote tactic

 

 

Tommy - is still vibing town even after all of his antics. its a gut based read backed with meta reasons

bold - sounds like a case of TMI dawn. how do you know if Galactus is even in the game, or if he's scum.

his character is more of a 3rd party character if you go by his bio and Marvel canon. anti-town for sure, but even most villains in the Mavel universe would want to kill Galactus (even Thanos), so for you to make the assumption that he's scum and that the scum team would have known about Galactus, when Canon dictates otherwise ... this reeks of having TMI
