Rand I'm not really following...can you explain why you think these things?

It's what they told him to say in the qt. They're bussing him and he doesn't realize it.

Lol.  Prob cuz he's he's been spewing everyone and their mother town.

Lol Arsis

There are 4 scum on the train right?  However, scum already suspected there was some sort of seeker role because of what Arsis said, so they wouldn't put all their members on the same train, because when town started going on that list, none of them would be safe.

However, if they didn't put anyone on that train, then town would have a gigantic list of clears.

Therefore, they had to put a middle amount of scum there.  4 scum seems to me like the middle number, which suggests 6 or 7 scum given the number of people in this game.

However, Tommy's information about not being able to be recruited also suggests recruiting.  I doubt that there's 6 to 7 scum that also have a recruiting power so that suggests two possibilities.

We have a few (minimum of 2) third parties in that group of 6 to 7 scum.  Since they couldn't coordinate with any other scum, they probably were on the train.

OR

We have two competing scum teams, one maybe smaller and have a chance of recruiting?

Does that make sense?

Arsis implied that his role was a hammer role.  And Hallia and Tina had said nothing to that effect to that point.  So it doesn't really make sense imo.

I'm having a clearer idea now but your theories seem out there.

Simplest explanation is most likely, that's just the way the votes fell.

There probably wasn't any plan to have X number of scum on a train just in case of sensor abilities.

To suggest rival scum groups or so many third parties says to me you want to send everyone on a wild goose chase.

This.

Reads like a town post to me atm. Also feeling a bit better about Rand since we're both gunning for Vos.

Eww.

I would like everyone to order the list of people who were on my train that arent confirmed. Also we are lynching from that crowd tomorrow without exception

From scum to town:

X, TG, Hoof, Len, AJ, Dawn, NotBob, Key, Tress, Nolder

Taking a kinf of loose view of "confirmed" here though as I don't think Hally or Tommy are 100% but their claims make them really unlikely to be scum.

You better hope your reads aren't that good. Seeing as how's it's night. Don't want to make yourself a target. You're worried about that, right?

^scummy post

srsly wtf was that?

Wombat out of that crew stands out however- I already had suspicions of him but they def grew while reading his posts. Overall I liked that he was posting, and he did post one thing that was absurdly protown, some kind of plan to use abilities or something (Wombat if you are town, please repeat it for me plz). HOWEVER. He also said he was tired so couldn't think straight, and while that could have been the truth, I also think it was scummy of him to try and use that to cover his ass, to explain why he wasn't reacting correctly or something. Then he dropped off the thread while everything kept going on then came back to tunnel on Rand. Looked random and forced, and scummy considering that Rand actually looked good from the exchange tbh. So Wombat is def high on my scumlist now

I was sleeping.  Some people don't do night audits.  Why I'm still up right now, I have no idea.

Normally if I'm just about to go to sleep, but am reading the thread and bombs start dropping (as in claims or reveals start dropping like candy or something similar) I will normally be intrigued enough to stay awake and keep posting. If town that is. As scum I likely wouldn't have posted at all. You posting around that time was slight townie points, but when called out on some posts you said you were tired, and I'm just not sure town!Wombat would have said that.

Don't like how Tommy is implying that anyone who distrusts his claim is scum.  I say have his partner claim and then have Tsuki confirm that person.  Then if all that works, we can have Tommy use his ability on whoever we lynch, assuming we decide to go that way.

Is this what you were referrign to btw Des?  Cuz I thought it was pretty pro-town at the time but I got tons of heat for it.

It might be. I remember at the time thinking it was pretty freaking smart. Why did you catch heat for it?

I repeated my reasoning for considering it a mislynch quite a few times. How is it redundant?

Yeah but you seemed absolutely sure of it.  Doesn't look town imo.

The term "mislynch" implies that you are lynching town, or at the very least, not lynching scum.  If you were lynching scum, that wouldn't be a "mislynch."

Again, my reasons lead me to believe it so.

Ok.

Lol Arsis/Nol showdown would be great

Nolderp has literally done nothing but advocate anti-town moves from his first post but he has 0 votes. I wouldn't want to mess with a scum jedi like that.

Disagree with the assessment but lol'd at the "scum jedi" thing.

[unvote]

[v]Nolder[/v]

I'm glad I made this offer tonight. I'm having fun rustling the hell out of people. Wombat and Nolder's reactions are just out of this world.

Hey, Tommy, when you've got two people who played in Mynd's first Avengers game telling you to slow your roll, maybe you should consider that you need to slow your roll.

It is true that you guys have experience from the previous game but don't you think Mynd would change his method? Otherwise, it would be predictable and easy for people.

I agree that he would change his method to some degree, but he's still the same mod.  Also, I've already seen a couple of things this game that reminded me of the first game, so there are clearly similarities.  I don't trust much to gaming mods in general as I know how hard I try to avoid being gamed when I mod, but as long as we're using it to promote caution instead of trying to avoid actual scumhunting, I don't see how that's a bad thing.

I never said that it was a bad thing. I only said that we should be cautious of that. How did you see where I was saying a bad thing.

Why am I your top scum read Wombat?

Cuz it assumes Tommy wasn't lock clear and he and Darthe seems to have taken it as me asking his mason to claim right then rather than floating a suggestion.

As for the tired thing, I was tired.  The "bombs" dropping actually made me want to go to sleep more because I couldn't deal with that kind of thinking.  Along with the fact that the only person I was agreeing with at the time was Nolder and that usually shouldn't happen until midgame at the earliest.

Ok, I don't people going off the thread since they were tired as alignment indicative. So I don't see how you are reading something into that.

I'm not sure this lynch/no lynch settled my stomach as much as it should have.

Try bread and water.  Maybe some coffee if things get dire.

Nolder - what excatly has hinted you to this being a recruitment game?

The mechanics of the previous game.

Avengers 1 was basically a Cultafia.

There was one main scum (Loki, played by yours truly and followed up by Verbal) and at the start I got to recruit two people who were initially heroes and retained their previous powers. If any of the scum were to die new scum could be recruited. The scum cap was 3 players.

I'm not saying it's going to work exactly the same way but I'm expecting some kind of recruit ability for scum in this game.

Yeah, the cultafia in the last game was based on tesseract/staff flavor, but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a recruit in this game.  Maybe not full blown cult, but somethign to mess with things a little.  Mynd is a jerk.

What is a cultafia?

You didn't say it was bad, but your question implied that it was faulty.

Mostly PoE and gut.  The people at the end of the list are towntelling.  You at the beginning are not.  You and TG were also scumtelling early imo.  I didn't like how you and Red got into it.  Didn't feel like real town to me.

Lol keeping it classy, right on.

I think the obvious response would have been to expound upon your eminently understandable comment concerning the last two on the lynch. Such as why you don't like the two of them, your thoughts on their gambit, and any other choice morsels or insults you feel like leaking out of your fingers.

I didn't like the bullying of the hammer. The whole set up felt like....a set up.

In the end it was too much to swallow and I felt a game of three card monte was being played and my pocket was being picked all while my house was being robbed.

May I have my hat back now??

We already got Sensor results?

I think Hallia gave something along that line. That is why people are analyzing Darthe's wagon. Tommy can't speak due to some reason, so somehow he contacted Nolder who posted a quote detaling what Tommy says.  And NotBob also was involved in the contacting with a neighbour type role.

HOLD THE FREAKING PHONE PEOPLE

Hey this is Tom. I have been silenced until EOD2 due to the vile efforts of fruit loop dinguses and am talking through Nolder via shenanigans. I have info from the lynch: Darthe is who he said he was, is Hero aligned, and Songstress is Hero aligned (the result of another of my abilities I won't reveal right now). NotBob used a friendly neighbor type role to contact me. I'm assuming he's town for now given that and his thread play which seems like his typical self.

So that's a lot of reasonably clear players. We now have 7 players on the Darthe wagon who aren't clear and we know 4 of them are scum if the Hallia / Tina power is true.

Dawn
Hoof
Lenlo
Key
Xthrax
TG
AJ

Converge your night actions on these players. 57% chance to target scum. That's huge info for N1.

And I see a lot of recruitment talk ITT. I know that my character personally cannot be recruited but that means there might be traitor/symp characters that the scum team has to search for to add them to the chat. I think with a large scum team there would be something to prevent linking between all of them. It's also possible we have 2 separate scum factions. There's gotta be something going for scum to prevent them all being discovered since town is really strong.

Town is being setup, and I can say this with pretty much 99.999999999% confidence. Actually screw that, I am 100% confident.

I'll have to semireveal a bit of my role but screw it, so much is out in the open anyways

I don't have a hammer ability, but I DO have an ability that works if I successfully lead a lynch (it kinda has some gimps to it, but def not getting into that right now)

Because I saw multiple people with the hammer ability, it was an easy assumption that there were others that had similar "lynch leader" abilities

So I was trying to pay attention to anyone who seemed to want to lead a train, and people who didn't want to move their vote if they were first

NotBob was as easy to pick out for this as it gets. I actually have been "townreading" him just as a ruse, but in case I die I don't want town to freaking fall for this trap

I AM UTTERLY CERTAIN THAT NOTBOB HAS RECRUITED TOMMY

At first I figured he might be a Hero with a similar ability to mine, but after seeing Tommy's message to Nol there is no way that's the case.

Night actions haven't been resolved yet according to the OP, so only Day actions or actions carried out with a successful lynch or something could have happened

So lemme as yall this- what kind of Neighborizer silences it's target?

NONE THAT'S WHAT

I'm guessing Tommy isn't silenced at all, but that he's passing this message through Nol (who is pretty much guaranteed to be his twin btw for all the derps out there) to make it look more believable. Two things tipped me off to this:

"NotBob used a friendly neighbor type role to contact me. I'm assuming he's town for now given that and his thread play which seems like his typical self."

"And I see a lot of recruitment talk ITT. I know that my character personally cannot be recruited"

Aint no WAY that Quicksilver would be unrecruitable. For Tommy to even throw that nugget out there pretty much sealed the deal for me. And reading NotBob as town for acting "like his typical self" yeah no.

NotBob has recruited Tommy, and you can take that straight to the bank

Posted

Had to interrupt my wot for that, and now I'm out of time. I might try and finish when I get home- for now, don't trust a word NotBob says, or Nolder in case he got recruited too or something. I'd also be wary of those who were introducing the recruitment talk as there is likely some TMI in there

That's a lot of confidence in mafia.

You're either scum or foolish to hold such high confidence for something you really don't know.

I'll have to semireveal a bit of my role but screw it, so much is out in the open anyways

Nice and vague, just the way scum like their reveals.

Because I saw multiple people with the hammer ability, it was an easy assumption that there were others that had similar "lynch leader" abilities

Unless someone wants to corroborate your theory I don't see any reason to take your word for it.

Sounds like something you cooked up because a bunch of townies claimed hammer abilities.

So I was trying to pay attention to anyone who seemed to want to lead a train, and people who didn't want to move their vote if they were first

NotBob was as easy to pick out for this as it gets.

It's been a long game.

Mind citing where Notbob actively tries to lead a train?

I certainly don't remember him pushing on Darthe the hardest.

In fact up until his turn around I'd say Tom was Darthes biggest detractor.

I actually have been "townreading" him just as a ruse, but in case I die I don't want town to freaking fall for this trap

>Jokes on you I only pretended to be an idiot!

>My scumslip was actually a trap! Gotcha!

>My townread was a ruse all along!

Yeah ok.

I AM UTTERLY CERTAIN THAT NOTBOB HAS RECRUITED TOMMY

The scene that ended day didn't remotely indicate this.

Not that is necessarily HAS to but that's just another piece of your puzzle that doesn't fit.

At first I figured he might be a Hero with a similar ability to mine, but after seeing Tommy's message to Nol there is no way that's the case.

Night actions haven't been resolved yet according to the OP, so only Day actions or actions carried out with a successful lynch or something could have happened

I have nothing to say about this but didn't want to cut it out either.

So lemme as yall this- what kind of Neighborizer silences it's target?

NONE THAT'S WHAT

Why does it have to have been Notbob who silenced Tommy?

Maybe someone else did it, there are a lot of people playing this game and everyone has TWO powers.

That's a lot of possibilities to narrow it down to 100% Notbob.

I'm guessing Tommy isn't silenced at all, but that he's passing this message through Nol (who is pretty much guaranteed to be his twin btw for all the derps out there) to make it look more believable. Two things tipped me off to this:

You're guessing that based on....? Just your unsubstantiated theory?

Aint no WAY that Quicksilver would be unrecruitable.

Why not?

For Tommy to even throw that nugget out there pretty much sealed the deal for me. And reading NotBob as town for acting "like his typical self" yeah no.

Got any examples of Notbob acting differently than his normal self? No? Then the statement would seem to stand would it not?

Had to interrupt my wot for that, and now I'm out of time. I might try and finish when I get home- for now, don't trust a word NotBob says, or Nolder in case he got recruited too or something. I'd also be wary of those who were introducing the recruitment talk as there is likely some TMI in there

DESPOT OUT

So now I've been recruited?

Ok genius let's go with that. Me Tommy and Notbob.

What's the angle for narrowing down the pool of people for town?

We can assume some people have investigative abilities. So what would they find? innocent results so how does that help us as scum?

We can assume there's a vig or two out there so let's say one or two of those people die and flip town. How does that help us as scum?

I know you desperately want to think you've figured something out here but I assure you you haven't.

I'll put a 100% on it even.
