What's up with the drunk guy? Different cultures, or scummy there?

Experience says he's trolling too hard to be scum. Having never played with him, I don't know for sure. He could just be the type to troll regardless of alignment. But both TG and Rand have declared him a bad vote for today for dubious reasons, so I think a flip from either of them can tell us more about the Drunkard.

 

Can you explain why this isn't ironic - saying TG/Rand have 'cleared' him for bad reasons when apparently clearing him for trolling to hard to be mafia? From what I recall TG was saying he wouldn't vote him D1, not that he was clear? Think Nyn had a good point around this conversation.

 

Do you think mafia generally takes their ball and goes home and trolls the thread openly? Maybe if you're Cory; but generally mafia tries their best to blend. Drunk is doing a poor job; NB even worse. It's part of why I'm trying to be patient with NB. Him not offering ANY reasoning is what others would call TWTBAWW -- "too wolfy to be a werewolf." Basically, they'll never win the game playing like that if they're scum. There's some WIFOM involved there of course, but as a general rule, it's less likely that scum is just brazenly trolling the thread.

 

I was getting those "genuinely not giving a damn" vibes from Drunk. With NB, he's a bit more... anxious.

TLDR: You still haven't explained where your INITIAL read on Tommy came from.

 

Just to be clear here: This is not a leading, strategic or hinting question, but a genuine one: Do you feel it significant? Are you hinting at them being team-members, because I feel like a great big steaming pile of crap has been collected over Darthe saying he had a "slight villa lean" on Tommy. To me at least, it seems like scum picking up a slight inconsistency and latching on for dear life, moreso than scum slipping a team-mate. Coupled with RTCsarmi's fake scumhunting throughout the game, FOS once again. 

 

 

That moment when you realize this game is comprised almost exclusively of players that are difficult to read.

I think it fits with a Tommy-RTCsarmi-???-scum team, and reading through his posts from start to finnish doesn't do much to make me feel better. The fact that he has "stood up for me" and given me town-reads should maybe make me feel better. It doesn't though.

Additionally, you say it's a slight inconsistency, but it's a read that's unsubstantiated by what was on thread at the time, and his subsequent reasoning appears to refer to Tommy's later gameplay. If Darthe can explain his read, and why he didn't answer the actual question first time round then we can move on.

^Unsubstantiated to you doesn't mean unsubstantiated to me.  The arguments against me making a single comment about my impressions of Tommy's alignment keep changing to match whatever is going on at the time.  I called him slight villa because, guess what, I thought him slightly town.  IMO meta and tone are perfectly valid reasons to say such a thing, not to mention that I post snappy early reads like this in nearly every game I am in.  Not to mention the fact that I have already answered this several times.  Not liking my response doesn't mean I didn't provide one or that it is scummy.

It's not preventing you of anything, but yours (and csarmis') unwillingness to let this lie is harder to understand. In my eyes Darthe's comment about Tommy, and his shortness about it reads pretty insignificantly in the context of the whole game. So I'm left wondering why you are tunneling so hardcore on it. I could kinda see it if you felt it was Darthe protecting Tommy with a unwarranted townread. But to pester the point now? Again, reads more like distracting and desperately going after a "slip" (ie fake-hunting).

More importantly, why are they still pressing it after Darthe's explanation.  If he saw a post and said your tone sounded townie, then a slight nilla lean is perfectly acceptable and normal.  The fact that they keep pushing is more suspect, possibly waiting for him to say something they can twist as a slip.  Scum lean on Barmi.
