IMO you're a wonderful player.  I'm not in any way against your play, just discussing different facets of it academically.  I think that your, as you said, polarizing method often leaves you with inaccurate reads.  Why?  Because when you play to get reactions you can't accurately divide the reactions that you do get.  It's impossible to do which is why people hate town gambits in general.  Your arguments with Womby and Red have been a waste of time in this game.  I support you and you've been mostly right but mostly right doesn't equal perfect any more than my play is perfect.

I kinda like where we are now (aside from the ugliness) as far as votes.  We have two competing trains at 5 votes a piece.  Naturally, Lenlo's vote will remain on Dap because he is a Lenlocicle.

 

This forces everyone else to decide between the lesser of two possible (likely) scummies.  Their lynch outcome, regardless, will give us a lot of info to go on going forward.

 

Plus, keep in mynd that we have a lot more little goodies waiting for us at the turn of the phase.  I think as far as D1's go, we've gotten quite a bit of info on most of the players in the game to make sound decisions going forward.  If we can cap this D1 off with a D1 scum lynch, then WOOT!

Yo, seriously tho, as a vanilla town with no town cred anymore what's the point of keeping me alive? No one will give me more meaningful interactions I think. And you have a wealth of info on me at this point. I feel my usefulness is exhausted, although I think it will be valuable.

I just thing Tommy is more valuable to remove early for three reasons:

 

1) The two of you prefer for you to die first.  That means that if I am right about both of you as scum then it's better to take out Tommy first.

2) He is the tougher lynch.  As time goes on lynching him will only become harder, not easier.  More people who are against him will conveniently be NK'd etc.  

3) He is a stronger player.  Bigger threats etc.  Honestly he should take it as an honor.  He is someone I consider enough of a hazard that I want him dead sooner rather than later before he can sway minds.

First of all I haven't avoided the thread or disappeared. I have been busy this week. That is all. Work in day, seeing friends at night. I don't lie about RL things and I don't avoid the thread. Just spent over an hour catching up.

 

Anyways, first of all I am happy with what I've done with my role, and am more than ready to be the lynch so town can use all the information I've garnered. As vanilla town all I can hope for is to die and provide us with a lot of information to work with. I've done that. My utility is more or less done and used up as now there is so much WIFOM and lock scum on me that I can't give much more of anything of worth anyways. Please lynch me today and then reassess your reads. Not lynching me at this point is a waste because I don't think I can get any more info or meaningful interactions anyways.

 

About the whole treating Des and Darthe interchangeably as scum and town, the answer is a fairly logical one. I'm vanilla town. I know NO ONE'S alignment. As such I fully admit I can be wrong and need to look at everyone as possibly town or scum, I don't have any lock scums at this point in any way at all. For what it's worth, given everything since my last read's list, I think Des is town lean, and Darthe more null, but he's so vocal it seems too risky for mafia to play so loud. I think Tommy might be right, Mafia is hanging back and watching this with a lot of pleasure. It's sad. Dap is a scum read to me though. I'm here and willing to talk but I think I'm the best lynch. Seriously.

Once again, Tommy is assuming that Darthe and Des (or is it Womby) are town with this statement.  Only mafia know for cereal who is town and who isn't town. 

 

Also, while I was having dinner, something occurred to me about Tommy's claim.

I am a PARANOID GUN OWNER. If a townie tries to investigate me, they will DIE. Given my current position in this game it is safer to just lynch me and confirm my role that way. My hope was to push a scum lynch on Dap and draw the night kill and take the offending scum with me, but it now seems that won't be possible thanks to tweedle darthe and tweedle des. Given that, I don't know what else to do but claim and kill myself.

 

Great job guys, seriously. Top tier playing all around.

 

I hope you at least take my reads into consideration. I believe my blue colored town leans were correct.

 

Everyone should consider this.  If you were given this role at the start of the game, would it have been pro-town to act like Tommy has been?  If I were a cop and Tommy avoided the D1 lynch, he would have been one of my prime cop targets.  With a role like this and being aligned town, I wouldn't be so gung-ho as normal.  I would have played a much more reserved hand.

 

Also, notice the wording of his role.  "If a townie tries to investigate me, they will DIE."   While the "granny" role (or PGO) is commonly a town role, its his wording that bothers me.  He specifically states that if a townie investigates him, not mafia targeting him.  If this is the case, this sounds very much like an anti-town role. 

 

Or better yet....BULLSHANKS.  I don't buy it.  I think he's reaching.  Now that he has thrown RTE under the bus after he preached his towniness, I think Tommy is the way to go.
