Hey what is a pirate's favorite restaurant?

Arrrrrrrrrrby's

Alright! Now that I have you attention, here we are to discuss some pirates.  First I'd like to know...who are some of your favorite pirates and why.  This is discussion is for real life pirates as opposed to fictional ones that will be discussed in another thread.

One of my favorite pirates has to be Edward Thatch, aka Edward Teach, aka Blackbeard.

To me, Thatch is the quintessential pirate.  He was cruel, merciless, and flat out scary.  Some stories say that he had hemp or fuses braided into his beard that he would light in battle causing smoke to billow around him and many said he "looked like the devil."

Quite frankly, he was scary.  There's a reason why Blackbeard comes to mind when we think of pirates.  Below is an image of him as he appeared in Assassin's Creed 4 (keep in mind we are using real pirates, but fictional images are ok here) with the fuses in his hair.

I do love me some Blackbeard. I have to admit that many of my Fave Pirates are women.

Anne Bonny and Mary Reed, are both very interesting. Anne was an Irish woman who was unhappily married and ran off to be a Pirate with Capt. Jack Reckham. (the flag that Wolf posted is his standard) Anne and Mary make an appearance in Assassins Creed Black Flag. They are said to be the only ones who continued fighting on Jacks ship when they were captured by the English. When Jack was sentenced to death Anne, or mary depending on the story, is said to have told him "If you had fought like a man you wouldn't have to die like a dog." The two women pleaded there bellies and were thrown in prison till they gave birth. Anne was released, no one knows how/why, and Mary died in prison. Anne is lost to History after that. Which gave the boys in Black Flag an excuse to make something up. Picture of Anne and Mary from the ride in Disneyland park

my favuorite is gráinne mhaol, who was a chieftainess of the uí máille clan in 1500s, leader of a trading businesss which also resorttd to "piracy," and shes now symboll of pride for irish culture and nationalism. long story short, at her time english were begining to invade more and more of the westrn part of the country whichh was largely still gaelic and stealin and seizing propertty from the clans and gráinne's clan was one of them, so she resortd to raiding coastall settlements to fight to keep her clans inheritannce and rights (suposedly which now calledd piracy for convenince but back in gaelic culture, raiding, whethre on land or sea, was huge and legitimate part of the country and interactons between clans, albeiit inflammatory one). she fought in the nine years war against englandd, toward of end of which she diedd in old age (1603). she did lot of othre things, including capturing ship from spanish armada. i dont consider her pirate so much as fierce irish warrior and chieftain to be proud of but her bein known as "pirate queen" is more sensationall.

this is irish nationallist song written about her by pádraig pearse and which has lot of adaptatins including this one

edit: bettr version of song

and this is statue of her in cathair na mart, which was her hommetown:
