No. Points are not all there is to it, points simply decide the equivalent to the role the person has. In a roleless game what matters is gameplay and posts. Claims and how claims are handled are also gameplay. You thinking that points are all that matters is false and worrying.

 

 

I think your point on wiggle-room is completely constructed, and objectively all I can see from the claim-talk is that clever fake-claims gain points. 

 

You know what else gains points? Playing the game and scumhunting. We have no idea how much things like that would be worth. And points are /still/ not the most important part of this game. Scum could have every item and scumhunting could still beat them. They help but they are not required.

I'm not finding Len overly scummy right now. Wombat and Krak are sticking out a bit more to me on my initial read. Krak for his weird reasoning on Lenlo and Wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwombat seems to be trying to figure out if the pasta is done yet by flinging it against the wall to see if it will stick.

Because I want to figure out the kind of theme with the game. I dont feel like Lily would just randomly through characters out there, and if I get a general feel I think Ill be able to see through fake claims.

 

Also yes I agreed with Wombat, that we should stop argueing about it and focus more on gameplay but atm the only real gameplay weve had from alot of people is surrounding their claims. Im doing the best with what ive got. ATM all of Mish's gameplay has been about her crappy trap and her claim. I dont like her claim so im pushing her but since her gameplay revolves around her claim I cant ignore it.

 

I disagree with you on how beneficial it will be btw.

 

 

The "general theme" is probably whichever Disney characters Lily and jack felt partial to.  I doubt the "general theme" will be useful.

Not for claims but in general. I want them to have to give us as much as possible. If you say, hint like Mish did that your a main character with your name in the title, then that leaves you alot of characters to pick from while giving people enough info that they might leave you alone.

Im assuming each item can only be bought once. I looked back and realised that was not the case.

Alright. Let me finish this portion of packing and ill go back and find some new stuff.

I don't think I'm really going to have time to go back and look thoroughly through the thread, so here are my current reads/thoughts. (I mostly want to go back and look at some of the early Darthe stuff, to see how Vos's case holds up.)

 

Lenlo is not looking good. He's been all over on the claim issue and his recent explanations for why he thinks the claim talk matters, and why he wants everyone to claim, is not adding up. I can't just figure out why, if he's scum, his teammates haven't told him to let go of the claim talk. Unless his teammates are Kaylee, TGlems, and Krak.

 

AJ is actually another one I'd like to look back at, but I'm pretty null on him. I think his request for a mass claim was probably not a scum ploy and was, as he later stated, an attempt to see what kind of reactions it would bring and to see if it would trip anyone up. I don't think he fell into Mish's trap, because I don't think Mish's trap was all that effective. However, I'm still null on Mish, too - her trap idea explained how she responded to AJ's suggestion with hinting at her claim. Essentially, I see that whole situation as possibly two townies both trying some clever ploys, but they didn't pan out.

 

Wombat has been a little all over the place pushing at everyone, but I don't see that alone as scummy on his part. I've seen that kind of play from him before, and it's effective for a townie on Day 1, because you can gauge reactions from the people you go after. I simply don't agree (Sorry Wombat, hate to make you sad) that Vos's asking after the deadline is scummy, or that his holding back on placing a vote that early on is scummy. At this point, I think Wombat is worth keeping an eye on, but I'm not looking at him for a vote right now.

 

Feeling pretty unsure about Darthe all around. I haven't played with him in a long time. I'd really like to take a look back at his play earlier in the day. I'd like to look back at Krak's couple of posts, too. Leelou is looking good to me so far, so is Verbal.

 

Oh, and feeling pretty null about Vos. He's mostly been talking sense, I think. Looking back at Darthe and his interpretation of Darthe's actions might give me a better read on him.
