No offense intended to any player or mod, but that reminds me... games that can be reduced to claimsfests aren't as fun for me. It's part of why I play a lot of vanilla games on 2+2, POE is based on behavior rather than role. I can see myself getting boxed out by POE in late game due to not having a saving claim, and that's boring.

This is probably the biggest flaw in my thinking re: Tina.  That was a really good post. I feel like Tina puts in more #work when she is scum, though.  This looks like a carefully thought out post, which I'm sure it is.  But she's really just doing 2 things in that post:

1.  pointing out the obvious

2.  asking easy questions

I'm thinking Tina is scum at this point, but I'm happy to vet the role via the plan previously laid out.

I'm confused. What do you mean by it being a really good post if you think it's a scum motivated post?

Scum make good posts as well.  It is those posts that fool people into clearing them (or having a strong town read on them).  I think this post of Tina might be exactly that.

Okay. Who are you comfortable voting today?

Verb, why did you not respond to my question?

Why did you say you're deeply opposed to no lynching but haven't voted?

What's your plan now that Tina is "confirmed" town?

I was about to vote Dice before Verb and Tom started to question Hallia in a way that makes it look that they are role fishing.

After her post that I quoted, there was nothing to respond with that wasn't going to be seen as rolefishing.  Check that sequence again if you doubt that.

Curious to see how Verb's POE changes now that Tina is confirmed town.

Verb, you seem a little frozen. Sup?

I'm at work.  I jump on and read/post when I have a minute, and then back to work.  I'm just digesting this info from Hallia now.

@Tommy - I already answered you.

Okay. Who are you comfortable voting today?

Dice or Hallia today, and if we don't get any confirmation on Tina tonight, prob her tomorrow.

I want Tina confirmed via actions.  That will help me feel better about the nagging feeling I have re: Hallia's claim that is helping clear Tina.  I'm having a hard time with a tracker claim in this specific game theme.  I prefer vanilla games as well to avoid being in this situation.

I'm also leery of you, Tommy.  You're stepping up to lead town now that Darthe is taking a backseat.  Almost like he handed the baton off to you, and you're running with it.  I like the tone of your posts thus far, but we both know tone can be faked and isn't a reliable way to scumhunt experienced players.

I say tone because I know 2+2 is big on that, and you play there.  Re: the not yet lynching and me not liking No Lynch, I don't place early votes unless I'm extremely confident or the game requires as much.

In this case, I'm not yet extremely confident, but I like how this day has revealed more information and ways to potentially clear multiple players via night actions.  If we get it right, we should have a much smaller pool to lynch from (I'll be in that pool).

Oh, I missed your response. Be leery of me, I'm leery of you. But FWIW I don't think Darthe and I would interact like this as scumbuddies.

Mostly I want more than backseat commentary mode from you.

I'd say I'm around side-seat commentary at this point.  I'd like to react to what others have to say instead of trying to plant their next move into their head for them.....like what you're doing.  I plan ahead when I'm scum - I don't plan ahead that often as town.

See, I can state self-meta on myself, too!

Oh so clever. Is your hangup on Tina more because you can't figure out what character fits a Watcher or because you think her play has been objectively scummy?

Both Verbal and Tommy should get a time out. I could easily vote one of them if people want to join me.

*facepalm* Why are you not lynched yet? Just... uuuuuugh.

Thats understandable. Probably why character claims arnt allowed, cause its obv which characters would be town and which not. If its just roles then you saw how many people didnt trust my claim for instance. Still leaves room for talking and convincing imo.

atm id rather lynch Pral than Dice ##unvote vote Pral. I will be on around until deadline as well.

I'll admit it is more of the former, with a small dose of the latter.

for the record tommy is the best tone player I've ever met that's how he won the championship game

That further supports my point.  Tone can be faked, which he obviously did successfully in that game.  Does Tommy normally like to lead town regardless of alignment, or is his willingness to plan future events indicative of his alignment at all?

Why do you rather lynch Pral?

Yeah, if Tina and Hallia end up being scumbras I'll be fairly rustled. I'm not sure Hallia has the cojones, though.

Why not?  If properly coached through the process, anybody can do it.  Like.....if somebody wanted to walk them through each step - it is easy.

Actually, from what I know of you.........you would be a good candidate to assist them in this manner.  I would, too - I love to plan stuff as scum and be a few steps ahead.  Also another reason why I'd sooner offer myself as lynch before a No Lynch.

Posted

Cause I dont believe you and still think your scum, so I dont want to lynch people you want to lynch?

Also I like Darthes arguments more on Pral. I didnt notice/pay attention much to Pral so far this game so im having to base my read off of what others have said. Not the best of ideas but I dont have the time to do a full reread right now.

I tend to lead unless I'm extremely disinterested or too busy or trying to shield a PR. But as scum it's usually best to lead because the towniest players get lynched last, right?

I'm not sure what you mean by future events planning. Can you show me where you think I've done this (in a scummy way)?

As Cop, I like to view from the top and lynch from the bottom.  So the super townie players get vetted early so I can rely on them, while we lynch the most suspicious.

Tommy not only lead his team he also let the entire town in the only people who fought for contention of that right we're be LFG and I

Because it's Hallia. I don't think she's a particularly provocative scummer, he M.O. is to lurk and avoid detection for as long as possible.

Yes, someone could be coaching her, but I'm not crossing that bridge before I have to.
