Regarding the subbing of Thrax and wiping the votes...

 

There have indeed been times when I have waited till overnight to bring a sub in for a player that quits. This is when the person that drops out does so a lot closer to crunch time. In this case, Nol was at L-4 with 3 days and then some to DL. Not replacing him before end of day would mean open season on a spot in the game without anyone to defend themselves. That would become unbalanced, because regardless of alignment, a player who is still in the game would be expected to mount some kind of defense rather than walking off the court and giving up an uncontested basket.

 

Often on DM, mods will wipe the votes on a sub because it's SOP to allow the sub a chance to make their own case, and it happens to be a policy that I agree with. With three days to DL, there was no reason why this would have endangered the possibility of forming a lynch, weekend or not (especially with the majority of a weekday still to go at that time). Those who were voting Nol were perfectly free to revote Thrax if they wanted, or they could choose to listen to whatever he had to say for himself. Either way, it would be their choice.

Usually I would not vote people that has just entered the game but unfortunately I have seen Nolder disappear (quit or just become inactive) in situations like this. (Happened in Darthe/Wombat´s 3 in 1 game for example.)

Alright gonna be a  bit of a rambling catchup- I caught up mostly on mobile before switching to laptop. Don't have a ton of wife credits so don't expect much tonight.

 

Csarmi is actually howling again a little bit. He's showing signs of his scum meta- he's much more reasonable and "helpful townie" as scum, and I saw him doing this a bit with Kronos earlier.

 

Peace pings slightly for bringing up 3rd party somewhat prematurely.

 

I REALLY don't like either Tina's or SP's reasoning on their reads of me. Tina is going off of one thing- me making a bad case- and it's something she has seen me do as town I don't know how many times. I'm known for reaching a lot early and blowing up stuff to make it seem bigger than it is. More importantly, Tina hasn't followed up by trying to point out anything else that might seem off about me, or pressuring me or questioning me or anything. All she's done is continuously say I look scummy to her, and complain about others giving me a free pass. Using an arbitrary reason to fos someone and then tunnel on them and call them scummy a bunch is something I've seen Tina do before as scum.

 

SP's reasoning might even be worse- he says I haven't done anything all game.... I've noticed this is somewhat of a buzzword type phrase where yall come from. Like he's just throwing out a rote response for calling me scummy. Fact is I've done PLENTY this game, and a heck of a lot more than SP to be sure. I have cased others, made my reads and reasoning clear at all times, and sought to look for scum in multiple places. SP has focused on one scum read at a time it seems, when he's not buddying CoryTom. Was deferring to yall's read on him before, but yeah gotta say he's pinging now for the manner in which he's fos'ing me.

 

Speaking of WF buddies, Monk has shown a bit of a poor entrance after catching back up. I hear a lot about him not being the strongest scumhunter so eh I might have to let this read develop more, but he seems to have some fake scumhunting type posts so far.

 

AJ, you know it's a pet peeve of mine to ask others for a catchup. You should read the thread entirely when you get a chance, it will obviously be much better for town if everyone develops independent reads on their own. Bandwagoning onto X when you hadn't done so doesn't look good for you- could easily be a bus vote.

 

Didn't see as many towntells as I would have liked... gonna go back through again I guess. I feel like I remember a sideline snipe type post from TG a couple of pages ago.

Oh yeah and meant to comment on ASRV2 hehe- one of the first times in a while I've lasted till endgame as scum lol. The way the game ended tho was crazy.

 

Anyways I would strongly deter anyone from that game making a meta read on me based on that game- I was being completely sincere when I said I wasn't motivated at all. I basically slacked off and let Clov lead us to victory.

 

Me being a lot more active than I was in that game doesn't make me town, plenty here will tell you I'm just as active as scum normally.

I agree with this except the Salami thing because Kronos was asking for help. I think your meta scum-tell of Salami may be outdated, I haven't seen the helpful angle thing from him as scum as far as I remember. I'll stop interjecting with my meta reads of the WF players and let you do your own analysis in case you see something I don't.
