Only two things worth commenting on.  CS's play is crap, but I'm leaning town because I've seen it from him before.  The spam is over the top tho.

 

Has Tommy played here before?  Because he and Des are tops on my list for scum.  I agree with Nol that posting spammity spam and lurking are anti-town.  Tommy and Des both seem to be purposely misunderstanding what Nol is saying and painting it as a black or white type thing.  Des at least shouldn't be purposely misunderstanding this as he is a DM vet.

 

Ugh. I didn't realize how weird this post was the first time around. He defends Salami, then kind of fencesits on it, and then agrees with Nolder and uses that to put suspicion on Despot and myself?

Incidentally "posting spammy spam" is null, not really antitown. While it can be a pita, it's just as easily an obnoxious townie as it is scum trying to derail the thread and make rereads harder. I agree lurking is antitown, but as Tommy mentioned, Nolder didn't even give the game time to breathe yet before suggesting lynching lurkers. There may have not even been any to begin with. I certainly would have done my best to keep any from lurking, but that discussion is best saved for later in the game when the players who ARE lurking are well known.

Looks like the same avenue to me.  Trying to gauge scum by looking at people who are not posting within the norms, either too much or too little.  You're still purposely misunderstanding.

Having a lot of trouble following Fishlami now. Despite Des getting at him pretty hard, he's had Des as town the entire time, but is asking Nolder if he thinks Des is suspicious? I don't get that, but anyway, he thinks Golden, Tina and TG are scummy for vague reasons. He strongly feels TG is scum but isn't doing anything to push that by this point. His vote is there, but he's not trying to convince anyone.

 

I think it's possible all 3 people on the Salami wagon at that point are town. Nolder has me, Darthe, and Peace on it. Turin would have been on it if his vote had been formatted correctly. Something to keep an eye on.

Just wanna point out what still remains the scummiest OP in the game as well as one of the scummiest posts.

 

Anyways, italics is a prime example of what I was talking about scum would likely do- either distance or stay away from the Nolder train. TG hardcore defends Nolder and fos's me and Tom, saying we're deliberately misunderstanding Nolder. Could easily see scum!TG deciding to do this to try and later use a Nolder flip against us.

And then here is where Tina votes me for going @ Salami, saying he is obviously town. Kronos voted her for this yesterday, and upon reread I'm still leaning town on him. But there's something else that's funky with this post besides the "obviously town" thing.

 

What would the scum motivation BE in "making up reasons" to vote for an obvious townie? Doing so would obviously make them stand out, so why do such a thing? Tina doesn't trying speculating as to why, and doesn't say why doing such a thing would be scummy. Along with this, there's the fact that Tina has played in a TON of games with me and knows I will often push cases essentially based on nothing at the start, to try and initiate reactions off the bat (I do this as both town and mafia). But finally, I first started fos'ing Salami BEFORE his claim, so Tina's reasoning for voting me looks even weaker.

Ehm... show me any game here at DM where scum has started with a claim (lie detector proof) on day 1. And as other have pointed out, Csarmi usually plays more focused when he is scum. 

 

Kind of a weird reaction by Tina @ Kronos' vote. Especially for mentioning the lie detector thing, that role really isn't that common, def not common enough to autoclear someone as town just because they character claimed.

 

Csarmi, please explain the logic behind character claiming for no reason. I'm genuinely interested. "Why not" and "because I felt like it" are not answers.

Please try and get your footing under you this game, if not you're just spamming nonsense.

 

This kinda jumped out a bit to me on reread- talk had kinda died down about as far as why Salami character claimed, people were moving on to the Nolder stuff, and GE posted this, timing seemed a bit weird. GE could have been masking his meta a bit by going @ Salami, giving him an excuse to ignore the Nolder situation (which scum would likely have been doing yesterday)

 

If Nol is being replaced then a Nol lynch is out of question.  Whoever replaces Nol will have to speak up for themselves. 

 

As for my reads, I still don't like where Des has come out.  Monk looks bad after coming in, reading the thread and being able to make the "'Sup" joke but then saying he hadn't read enough to comment.  And I stand by my statement that CS was flooding the thread with crap but that doesn't make him scum.  I have a town read on him.

 

After Nol asks for a replacement, TG comes in and says a Nol lynch is out of the question and that his replacement will have to speak for themselves... looks to me like a scummie trying to save a lynch for later (using the early Nol stuff and replacing out to implicate his replacement at some future day)

 

We can lynch whoever replacing in for Nol, when that happens.   Until then, at least from my experience, the Mod will remove all Nol votes and that slot basically doesn't exist until someone fills it. 

 

If Nol is mafia then I'd say Tina is teammate especially given how she mostly ignored everything about Nol which has comprised most of the game.  I'd lynch at least one of those two for info.

For example, page 10. You came in hard defending Nolder. Still feel we are "twisting his words" or whatever you said?

 

At that point, there was a bit of firing the brush in making it more black and white than it is.  Spammy posting to the point of obscuring the thread and lurking to give no info are both anti-town IMO.  I think Nol is scummy more for his gameplay since (see below) and the Tina/Kronos/Nol interactions than I do for scumhunting in spammers and lurkers.

 

Then again, I'm still pissed that I got lynched D1 last game for just posting a count of low posters to get them to post more and saying that lurking doesn't help town.

 

Main thing I don't like about this post is the last little bit- TG brings up what he did last game (when he was lynched town) in a possible attempt to make himself look townie this game.

Usually I would not vote people that has just entered the game but unfortunately I have seen Nolder disappear (quit or just become inactive) in situations like this. (Happened in Darthe/Wombat´s 3 in 1 game for example.)

I feel that I need to clarify my earlier statement. Nolder hasn´t a habit of quitting when it gets tough. He is a fighter. But... I have seen him loose interest/disappear when scum in situations before. I think it depends on how he is feeling at the moment. 

 

Tina comes back and backtracks on her initial comment regarding Nol replacing out. Goes from firm meta read (bringing up specific example of Nol doing what she mentioned), to big time waffling ("depends on how he is feeling at the moment").

I'm fine with lynching that slot in order to get the game progressing, he had 5 votes for a reason which I'll be able to look at later on my read through. Just wanted to say I initially didn't like this post, but on reread eh it didn't seem quite as bad. Seems like a casual tone to it, not guarded like scum that hasn't been active might be.

This might be reaching but I felt something here- Tommy had asked Tina a few questions, Tina answered for a bit... then suddenly Tina asks Tommy for reads. Struck me that Tina might see that her responses might be bordering on the whyme fryme territory, so tried asking Tommy something quick to try and cut off his interrogation.

 

I don't like Tina right now. Her posts haven't stuck out to me, which I take as a town tell.

Wow didn't notice before, Salami seems to say there if you connect his broken posts "What about Despo, Nolder" (what about him) "I'll have to analyze but he looks scummy as hell" so he's saying here I look scummy, yet during my initial push on Salami he gives a town read on me (has a "do your thing... if you're town" post @ me even), then he says here I look scummy as hell, but when I back off my push and say he is seeming more townie, Salami starts buddying me again. Could def be something there.
