Darthe - pushing some sort of unrealistic for DM scenario delaying the game or really thinking aloud about its mechanics? I am not supporting the No Lynch idea but what really makes impression is the fact this is not a Mafia game but a Mafia event. So there will be surprises. Nevrtheless, I still think the NA of everyone sending huggs is the difference, not everyone just posting No Lynch.

 

Cloud - sounds too desperate to understand why Darthe claims he was scum + sucking up to the Mod how no Lynch might hurt Despo's hard work and feelings. This pings to me

Mish, this is our second game with Vos and besides, during our 1st game with him, this was a topic we discussed - that I don't like putting votes unless I have strong evidence. And if this is your evidence - me being a SK in a game months ago, go on. But that is not scum hunting, it is nothing at all.

 

I can put an OMGUS vote on you right away but I want to first try to find more clues. For me it doesn't make sense putting senseless votes.

 

Better help town by saying what do you think about the others.

Poorly constructed sentence. I meant that she argued strongly to get the game started, not made a strong case - to get the game started. Did that make more sense? 

 

And Theo, I can kind of agree with you there, and I've seen you been very cautious with your vote before, but you claimed three people looked a bit off. If you won't vote until you have a clear read on every single player D1 you have a hopeless time D1 at least. 

 

My vote still stands on X, who has failed to respond to his votes of check in. It's not set in stone, of course, but for now it will do. 

I'm slighty FOT'ing you for being abit overly defensive here, jumping straight to meta-defense (FOT = Finger of tickle, if that was unclear)

Also, slightly suspicious of Mish for jumping to "my defense" so fast. I guess buddying is still an acceptable tactic, even though we are all buddies here

Also has my eyes on Cloud, for leaning town on Theo just because she meta-defended. Also keeping my eye out if his read on my sentence was an honest misread of my poor sentence, or understood what I meant and tried to twist it so he could start a town-train already, depending on how I reacted.

Someone posts a vote to raise pressure, and then everyone joins in on the bandwagon-that pings for the people who jumped in on the bandwagon. I suspected that you might have explained yourself oddly there because you have a tendency of explaining your reads like that. This is also the reason why I asked you what you found strong about her post because I didn't find anything strong about it myself, and it looked you were just searching for an easy way to accuse her of being mafia.

And FYI X did respond to the votes on him a page or two ago.

Was the FoS directed at me? If so I didn’t get a town read on Theo because of her meta-defense. I will explain my thought process behind my read on her next.

Here is Theo’s post. Theo explained that this wasn’t a list of suspects but more a list of the things that she got out of the interactions so far. With that in mind let’s break it down shall we?

She doesn’t support Darthe’s idea about going for a happy ending, but she seems unsure if he proposed it because he was trying to delay the game or was thinking aloud about its mechanics. She goes on how this is a mafia event and not a mafia game so she expects there to be surprises, and that sending in hugs will be important. This is a silly thing to say because this remains a basic game, and Despo likely only calls it an event to make it sound special. It’s a semi-open setup and the only difference from a regular mafia game is that we can send in hugs at night, but we don’t know if it will having any effect in helping us achieve our wincons. I actually thought Darthe was trying to push forward the game by proposing it to try and get people to start posting. If he wanted to delay the game he could have as well not said anything which would have been more effective, and like I said there isn't anything about this setup that supports a happy ending other than that we have 12 players which is an even number.

She says that I sound desperate because I asked Darthe why he thought I was scum, and finds me scummy for sucking up to the mod. Ok so first of all I wasn’t being desperate; I asked Darthe why he had a scum read on me because there wasn’t any kind of gameplay going on until then and he shouldn’t have been able to find something alignment indicative out of that mess. I was interested in how he came to that conclusion and that’s why I asked him a question. Secondly, me conveying my dislike for the happy ending wasn’t meant as a way to suck up to the mod and even if it was that wouldn’t be alignment indicative because I wouldn’t get anything out of it.

 

Her read on Leelou is decent though, but I doubt she knows that Leelou pushes for a Darthe lynch in almost every game they play in together. It's a null point.

 

So as you can see I disagree with almost everything Theo has said in her post, but what made me lean town on her was the idea that the mafia wouldn’t achieve anything out of posting a list of reads like that without directly attacking someone. Her list of reads was full of holes and I think a mafioso would have made better use of the silence that has enveloped this game by keeping herself in the background and snipe at people instead of putting herself out there like this. Forcing interactions to happen isn't in the benefit of the mafia.

Like I said I haven’t been overdefensive. And overdefensiveness isn’t a general scumtell but differs per person.

I don’t like the bolded because it is a clear case of whyme-fryme.

I agree with you that people need to start getting serious right now because we have already wasted a good portion of the first Day with only joking around, and yes I also know that I'm probably the guiltiest player here of doing that. Verbal is on his meta though.
