Just to restate, I don't like the buddying here between key and Ish. They've consistently been posting within short time periods of each other and might as well be holding hands and skipping through this thread. Am I alone in thinking they just pop in here periodically from scheming in the QT?

So, after that flip and going back to look at the game so far, here are my my thoughts

 

Darthe and Lily started off with a big argument and both suspected each other. Both of them flipped to be town.

 

Tress and AVM also had a different set of argument, mainly related to whether JN ers did the day kill or not. I don't think it made a lot of sense to argue based on where they play from. But, at least looking the posts, AVM seemed a lot defensive and picking on a minor point that she was never on JN while Tress was solid in her defence. Slight scum read on AVM and town read on Tress.

 

GE had a confrontation with others but  how he backed down seemed townish. It looked like a townie making a rash statement and then on realising that he is backed to a corner, toned down. The scum GE I know is a lot more aggressive.

 

Have a solid town read on Peace and Ishy  .

 

That leaves Hallia, Key, Mish and GF.

Looking specifically at Mish's posts.

 

She starts off with her ignorance of the theme. Which is fine, we are all not nerds, are we? :)

 

Then she has a few posts on how she will either catch up, reread or wait until tomorrow. Looks like she is lurking and hesitant to give out reads. I understand that she may have real life situations but so many of the, in the same game, on Day1 sounds really odd.

A quick shot is unusual, but not unheard of on DM. It might also be that whoever shot wants us to think it's a JN'er, good work of no-one putting out that possibiity. Not that I saw at least; but I mostly skimmed now to catch up, will read properly later. But I just wanted to put that out there.

Ok I've thouroughly neglected this game. I was gonna reread it yesterday, and then Things Happened. My life is crazy. Today my brother is coming over for dinner, but I'll cram in as much time as I can to reread. I'm really sorry to the game and to Leelou.

 

And, then there was her post, which seemed fine at that time but on seeing the flips and a reread, lit up like a beacon for me. I have played a lot of games with Mish and I have observed that when she is scum, she is a bit cautious about her votes and mainly focuses on nudging. Where town Mish is more ready to go directly and strongly after her suspects.

Ok some things that stuck out to me while reread...

Anyway, my point was that isn't it too early to make an informed kill? I suspect it was a trigger.

 

 

 

 

Why bring up the trigger-option? The scene states that Han Solo took the shot. Even I have heard that name. Makes it pretty clear it was a person who took the shot.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nudges me slightly. It was a weak argument especially after Leelou specifically mentioned not to read anything other than alignments from scenes. I pointed it to her and she totally ignored the point, yet not removing the vote until just before the deadline. The problem here is she neither strongly came back on me and it looked like she had forgotten that she had even voted me.

Dice tries to subtly connect me to Des' death, wich I do not like.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nudges with a suspicion on Dice. It was just a passing comment by Dice but somehow Mish finds it suspicious. She eventually votes Dice, so that is fine.

This is where it gets interesting. Definite nudge on GE. With the argument that he placed a "joke" vote. This was around the time 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You're deflecting rather than approaching this.  If you want to be considered town then play like one.  Otherwise the pressure I apply is warranted.

No, I have said why I think you're scum, and I don't need to do more than that. Your OMGUS case isn't really a case a all. If you have a specific question for me, then ask one. Don't just try to push the mud that you're wearing onto me.

 

 

 

 

AFAIK, Lily's original case was that Darthe said "It doesn't matter" to a comment Key made about a post Lily made... Right? And that was Lily's whole case on Darthe? Eh... It's weak, to say the least.

 

 

 

 

 

 

And then a slight nudge on Lily. Not strong but just attempting to throw suspicion back on her.

She also proceeds to talk to others but I felt the rest of the post fine.

 

The main thing is that she never comes back strongly on any of the points. After pointing out that Dice claimed Chewbacca, she drops him off the radar. She drops me,GE, Lily off her radar till the time of the deadline where she appears just enough to hammer.

 

I am pretty sure she is scum this game.

Couple of posts that stick out.

 

I'm over being annoyed by a game. 99% of the time I post aggressive stuff, I'm just sitting here drinking coffee and laughing. For some reason Key and Ishy actually annoyed me and I felt bad about my response for falling in the 1% category. That's only happened to me twice playing mafia. GF's vote is terrible sheeping btw. 

 

I actually tend to agree with this.  GF votes in the 4th spot (L-3), then disappears.  Looks better in retrospect that he avoided a townie lynch, but due to the next couple of quotes the momentum was switched towards Lily.  GF was able to avoid getting dirtied up by being associated with a town lynch.  Would like some input from others re: whether the activity level is normal?

The GE train is lazy. Mostly a policy-vote or something of the kind. IN any case, having seen GE as both mafia and town, the defensive GE that we see here looks town. He is usually more aggressive as scum. Looks like someone on the backfoot.

 

I am however interested in those who took advantage of the "easy" GE train. Especially these.

Lily has been flip-flopping a lot this game. There was the post recently that Key quoted her 

 

Honestly, I thought I saw something with Tress, but reflecting back on it, I don't think it's scummy enough to warrant a vote this late in the day. I just wanted to apply some pressure and see what popped out. While I don't like her joke vote still sitting on Ishy, that's really just a playstyle issue. 

 

Now, that leaves me with the dilemna of where to put my vote. My top scum read flipped town, which makes me doubt myself some. I'll figure it out as soon as I can. 

 

 

I agree with Key regarding her back-tracking and appearing as "wanting to apply pressure". I understand that Lily has been suffering from Flu and might not have had time or strength to do a big re-read. But that GE vote appear extremely opportunistic and looks more like furthering the train than anything

This are GF's 4 posts.  The 3rd and 4th particularly bother me.  Post 3 mostly because he (or she? idk) hadn't vote once to this point and while GF wasn't a part of the big distraction he mentions (me going on about the JN meta), he/she was certainly not helping us reach not.

 

As for post 4, this was the 4th position pretty close in to the deadline.  Having not voted yet this was either the lazy/easy vote or scum looking to push GE towards a lynch.  At the very least, I'd like to see more activity.

3 -- The "I'll catch up later" only to not has historically been a scum tell when I've played.  I'd like to get competing trains between her and GF.

Good points on Mish, Pral.  I really don't like her not coming back to do much, if any, analysis.  I hadn't noticed all the nudging, but when you gather it all together like that, it does look suspicious.  

 

I'm not sure how to read GF.  He never posts a lot, so it's hard to figure him out.  I think all of the games I've played with him (granted, not very many), though, he's been town, so it makes me hesitant.

 

If I get a chance this evening, I want to look at Hallia's posts.  There aren't many there, either, and I don't like that she supposedly read and did a catch up, but then voted for Pral yesterday for virtually no reason and kept it there.
