AJ didn't count it for some reason.

Fixed. My apologies, if anyone notices something wrong with the VCs please point it out.

Here's a question - from a scum POV, what would be the point of pretending to not be familiar with the game setup? So Despo did that just to further his case on Mish? Super sloppy move, since it's a given others will immediately jump on him for making this mistake (as, you know, several people have). I just don't buy it.

I'll think on that.

Your top 2 town and scum reads as of now?

Cloud, you saying that Mish flipping town would incriminate me and Cloud somehow, soon after YOU had just voted her, is just ubermegascumzors. Mish flipping town doesn't make me scum, it makes me wrong. Right now she still looks uberscummy with that "put him to L-3 front page" jargon, but she could be town for all I know.

To repeat myself once more I never said that it would incriminate you or GE in any way. I only said that it would let me know where to scumhunt next, which would be my other two scum reads. Looking back it was a pretty stupid move to make because it didn't add anything new to the table.

What do you think about the rest of my play so far?

And your assumption is that scum buddying scum early is more likely than scum buddying town? It's easy for me to say "Despot and Hallia are scum-scum because he's being friendly with her and won't vote for her" but it seems more likely to me that you would be scum and she would be town and you're trying to curry her favor.

Why you do not assume Mish would be doing the same to me if you really think she's the scummiest player is the crux of why I think your play has been scummy so far -- we disagree too much.

So you actually agree with Despo's statement that either you or Mish must be scum because of the buddying that happened between the two of you? It seems like you are the same thing that you are accusing Despo of doing, which is picking and choosing to apply logic where it suits you.

Mish’s defense was meh. And FYI I’m not parroting anyone in this game, and least of all Des. I build my own cases, and it should have been pretty clear from the way I posted that I was commenting on things as I was reading the thread. That Despo and I share the same opinion about Mish is merely coincidental. I also don’t like her vote on Hallia who I have a town read on, and her only reasoning for doing so is because she put her on L-1. Seems too easy.

n my experience, scum Des is a tad more careful than town Des, naturally because as mafia he's more concerned with staying alive. Town Des doesn't care what his actions will make him look like. So him placing a vote without thinking about how many players it takes to lynch (at least that's how I saw it as) is more in tune with how I'll see town Des. Also, town Des always suspects me to be mafia  so it doesn't suprise me he skimmed my posts when trying to apply pressure. I get more the feel that he's trying to test me now than anything else. I don't know how to explain better; with Des it's alot of gut read from me. He's reckless here and don't care how he looks, and that' makes me lean town. Doesn't mean I won't point out where he's wrong

Except the whole "Despo always suspects me to be mafia and I think he was testing me" you could say that literally about every mafia player ever.

Hmmm. Mish's responses and Alanna's comments have swayed me somewhat.

Unvote, Vote Tom

Regardless of Mish's alignment may be, Tommy buddying her like that stinks to high heaven, and he keeps trying to reduce the case on him to being "weak", a common scum tactic. And his sideline snipe posts really bother me, how he keeps trying to look like he's staying active by asking people about their take on things, when in actuality he's not doing any actual scumhunting on his own.

Can you explain which responses from Mish managed to sway you away from your scum read on her and why?

H'ok.  A couple of things.  Yes I did drop a fake lie-detector hint.  I know some people don't read set-ups, and the only people who should get up in arms about it would be scum.  Town wouldn't be worried about such a claim, and if scum got all antsy that's fine with me. (*cough*look someone didn't read the set-up*cough* ) XD

As far as Mish goes, I think she's more scummy than Des so I went with my gut.  Her response was

Hallia, very eager to get Day over with and me lynched? I hadn't even come online yet and you put me at L-1?

I'm more supocious of Cloud for his parroting, and Hallia for the L-1 vote without even waiting to let me get online; seems like mafia in a hurry.

And then ^  Waiting for you to get online?  One can't be expected to know when everyone is or isn't online, else no one would ever get anything done!  No one hammered, I think this signifies a cautious mafia or a group anxious to save one of their own.

I find this to be WIFOM at best. You are right that it would give the player in question only heat that he can't really do anything with, but at the same time he could also rely on other people defending him for not it being a logical move to make as mafia, like you are doing right now. I don't see Despo and Hallia trying to incriminate themselves at the start of a game however so I'm leaning more towards it being honest town mistakes.

And there goes my read on you that you aren't someone who goes for such a move :P

You put me at L-1 when I'd stacked up quite a few votes without being online (as apparant by my lack of posts)... You risked someone hammering me without me even being able to answer those accusing me. How is that in any way a pro-town move?

It might also signify that the mafia all was on my train already, you "forgot" to mention that possibility...

So Mish you think GE, cloud and I are the scum team?

Yeah I think there's three mafia when the set-up says it's two

You and Cloud, yes. I haven't said I find Golden scummy, so not sure where you're pulling that from.

Apparently I'm on the opposite end of the thought-field from a bunch of people in this game. I didn't expect that. Guess I'll re-read and see if that changes anything.
