Huh? I want to know what your thoughts on Hallia are: I posted my suspicions of her in the post with all of hers in a spoiler.

 

Then I asked her specifically for points to respond to and she said some gibberish about how I'm too mean and refused to respond.

She's well within her rights to do so. I am wary of "town leaders" that pop up and ask people for justifications and then make everyone comment on it. You're leading a witch-hunt on someone. I'm not willing to follow you anywhere because I believe you're scummy. Vote Mish/Tommy in 2014 people for co-leading a crusade against a player with  extremely weak reasoning. Tommy, no one needs to acknowledge you, you don't have some intrinsic game cred that compels people to answer you.

Your argument at it's essence boils down to this: 

 

1- Answer my questions or you're scummy

2- If I say you're acting scummy, it's your responsibility to convince me otherwise

3- Everyone look at me and not at Mish, cause I can handle the pressure

4- Fos people who disagree with me

 

Let me tell you how this is going to play out.

 

1- Tommy and Mish are scum.

2- Tommy is better at handling accusations than Mish, so he jumps on the QT and says "don't post for a while (if someone says something talk about timezones and sleep    

etc.) I'll lead them on a huge waste of time argument."

3- People will move their votes off of Mish onto Tommy. 

4- Tommy will continue to post frenetically until people get worn down by him, or they just get tired and vote someone else to avoid Tommy.  

5- As a result, Tommy has successfully taken votes off of Mish, himself and confused town fully in the process.

It's early morning in Hallialand, I just got up and reread the thread, but I've gotta walk out the door to go to work, I'll post my thoughts on my lunch break.  However, @Tommy  I wasn't impressed with her response, but Despo's response was a null to me because I've seen him as mafia just go after me, but he would know that, so he could either actually be glad that I'm posting more, or just buddying.  Not sure yet either way.

Hallia's vote caught my eye more for her lack of developed reasoning... it just seems to appear. It surprised me when I saw it. I dislike surprises. I'm waiting for her lunchtime notes before I continue.

  

H'ok.  A couple of things.  Yes I did drop a fake lie-detector hint.  I know some people don't read set-ups, and the only people who should get up in arms about it would be scum.  Town wouldn't be worried about such a claim, and if scum got all antsy that's fine with me. (*cough*look someone didn't read the set-up*cough* ) XD

n my experience, scum Des is a tad more careful than town Des, naturally because as mafia he's more concerned with staying alive. Town Des doesn't care what his actions will make him look like. So him placing a vote without thinking about how many players it takes to lynch (at least that's how I saw it as) is more in tune with how I'll see town Des. Also, town Des always suspects me to be mafia so it doesn't suprise me he skimmed my posts when trying to apply pressure. I get more the feel that he's trying to test me now than anything else. I don't know how to explain better; with Des it's alot of gut read from me. He's reckless here and don't care how he looks, and that' makes me lean town. Doesn't mean I won't point out where he's wrong

 

I'm more supocious of Cloud for his parroting, and Hallia for the L-1 vote without even waiting to let me get online; seems like mafia in a hurry.

 

And then ^  Waiting for you to get online?  One can't be expected to know when everyone is or isn't online, else no one would ever get anything done!  No one hammered, I think this signifies a cautious mafia or a group anxious to save one of their own.

Hallia's Mish vote pinged me and she's been precariously off topic since then, yet nobody is taking her to task for that. Why?

Here are all of Hallia's posts.

When I look at them all together, I see a very flat attempt at scumhunting, at best.

The Despot vote, for one. If she is genuinely concerned with Despot's alignment, would she not question his motives? Interact with him in any way at all?

She then jumps to Des because his response was... null? And because she thinks Mish is scummier now for "gut" reasons. I think the lie detector trap idea is ludicrous. I am town and it caught my attention. How you would know that only scum would make that a talking point is absurd.

The "no one hammered" line is only good if we know the wagon has no scum in it. One or both of the wolves could have been; we don't know yet. I say this is bad logic.

She then more or less exits from the arena.

There's a lot of misinformed logic at play in her reasoning... and what I see as underdeveloped and opportunistic voting. I don't know her well enough to say this couldn't be her (lousy) town game, so I would like all other players to comment on her post history.

Would you mind responding to my questions? Such as:

Why did you not interact with Des if he was your top scum read early on?

How did a null post (in your words) from Des reduce your suspicion of him to the point where Mish became a higher suspect?

Why did you give little or no indication of your developing scum read on Mish before putting her at L-1?

What is your stance on Des now? Do you find it troublesome that your top two scum reads thus far probably wouldn't be scum-scum since Des is voting for her?

What do you think about the fact that it is one-way? Des seems convinced Mish is scum but she doesn't feel the same way about him. Since you think she OMGUS'd you as scum, why would she not do the same to him when he already had votes on him? I see this as a townie thought process on the part of Mish. Why do you not?

Why are you not pushing any new cases or pushing your current top scum read (Mish)? It looks like you are satisfied to sit back and let a lynch happen.

Golden, why are you purposefully obfuscating both my reasoning and my intent? You seem insistent on tunneling on Mish, and that's fine, go for it. But I disagree that she is the scummiest player in this game and I am highlighting behavior in Hallia that I do find scummier. It's all above, I even quoted it for your convenience.

 

It is not pro-town to force the day's discussion to be about only one player, particularly when I think you're barking up the wrong tree.

 

What happens if you convince people to lynch Mish and she flips town? Will you still be coming after me for making a judgment call and deciding she's (probably) not scum?

 

Why is it that you can try to draw attention from Hallia and that's totally okay -- but you say I'm scum for drawing attention away from Mish (which isn't my intention anyway, you're free to discuss that as well).

I disagree. All I wanted was for her to refute my suspicions of her in some satisfactory manner, and for other players to comment on the discussion so I can see if people agree or disagree that she's suspicious. She instead told me she was going to ignore me flat out. What am I supposed to think? That someone with a clear conscience would react that way? And all I've been doing is asking people to comment on her reaction. I am not saying "you must vote her." I am saying "what do you think?"

 

Meanwhile, you're throwing a tantrum and saying "you must vote Mish" and using hypocritical arguments to discredit me in the process. Saying you distrust town leaders but being on the same wavelength as Despot for most of the game and acting like an inflexible town leader yourself by trying to force the discussion to be only about Mish?
