I thought it was just crazy weird that we both have similar characters. They'd get along almost perfectly.

But would it be ok for a Novice and a Tower Guard to learn together?

No.

Unless you had some kind of extreme situation, Novices are kept under strict control. They aren't allowed around the men for fear they will fall in love or some other foolishness and run away, get preggers etc. You would have to have an extremely good reason for the two to be together. The tower *might* if the two were siblings or something, but I'd think that's about it. (Sorry Leala I answered your question.) Although I guess if the TG was a woman they might.

That and it would totally mess with timeline as our Novices are all in Retro while the warder trainees are all in Main Timeline.

We could do the Accepted teaching the Novice and a full Sister teaching the warder..or i could allow some fudging of timeline to have the Accepted teaching the warder if the MoN and the WY RGL are ok with that.

Rashi is right.  An Accepted could teach the class.  If you need to, Kronos, just shoot me a PM if you need help.  :)

Buuuuut, I'm not sure about teaching a novice with a Warder trainee.  I'd have to talk to Warders Yard RGL.  :P

I'll just go drop her a PM.  :)

It isn't completely necessary that the two are taught together, but I thought it was convenient since apparently they're both illiterate. :)  I had wondered because I've never heard of a warder and a novice being taught in that way. If it can't be, then it can't be. Eventually (years down the road in the timeline) Tywin and Ariani will meet though. They're just so alike it is scary. ;)

espeially since you wish them to have a future together i would strongly push for keeping you apart now. I don't know how old the AS want to be in Main Timeline, but if she ever wishes to be staff among the WT (sitter or higher) she need to be 90 yrs old at the minimum in the main timeline.

If your character meets her at 15 years old you'd have to age your trainee 75 years minimum to continue playing with her in the Main Timeline, which isn't really do able, as your warders' age is locked in for main timeline already..so really you'd have to playing your character 6 decades or so younger to be playing with the AS as a Novice...

Like I said earlier it really messes with timeline if we do allow it, especially if you plan to have them know each other IC later when she's AS.

And there is a rule for Novices to not be around boys so really I know it would be easier on a lot of level to do this seperately, even though in a purely OOC sence it would be easier to do it together since there's only two of you and essentially the same rp.

At this point the staff is talking about where to go from here, but we will find a way to work something out for every one here.

Behold my amazing powers of making things difficult. It isn't really needed for them to be taught together, but it did lead to a wonderful discovery. And would it mess with Kronos' timeline if his Accepted taught Tywin? Like wouldn't he be an Aes Sedai by Tywin's now? So he would need a different teacher or we'd have to "Split" Kronos' timeline... (I.E. age him to teach Tywin, but only for that particular instance meaning that it would be set as a future event in Kronos' timeline). UGH...headache-y.

thats where its getting tricky and one spot the staff are willing to chat in our secrety hidy board and discuss lol.

We could agree to fudge the timeline and allow the Accepted to teach the trainee, so long as it doesn't really come into play when Kira is an AS that she trained you...like as long as you think of it forever as 'the generic Accepted' taught you, and as long as Kronos thinks of it as 'the generic Trainee' he once trained.

We've done things like that in the past, and to be honest it can be tricky after the raisings all go through if your characters know each other, but it doesn't have to be.

No matter what we end up deciding both the Novice and Trainee will get this training, whether Kira the Accepted does it or one of the Staff's Full Sisters do it, they will both be helped :)

*cheers* YAY! Behold my awesome powers of... persuasion! Just keep in mind, I am going LOA from about the 10th to the 27th. So no hurries for me.

I can make one part easy then. I don't want to mess with the timeline and the thought of it didn't even occur to me. So I'll pull out of it. Either someone can teach Ariani later, or maybe it is possible to do it as a solo rp. Preferably with a someone teaching. :)

Okay, this is what the staffers have decided:

We are willing to let Kira teach the class with both Tywin and Ariani, but only as long as they are the only students in the class.

The timeline will be in retro, so while it is character building, your character will not have memories of that class with thos particular characters.  If you wish to reference the class afterwards, just say in your narrative that it was a random Accepted who taught you and that you took it with a random novice/trainee.

Also, since it's unusual to have novices and trainees together in a setting like this, Kira will be there not only to teach, but to monitor and supervize behavior.

Sound good?  :)

I think in a way it might be best if Tywin was taught on his own. I want this to take place after his theft and have to work through the complications of it on the Aes Sedai end of things along with picking up an awesome skill. I know this comes up after super giant meeting thingy, but I thought it over. I still want Tywin to meet and end up with Ariani (assuming things continue as they are), but he does need to make some kind of peace with the Aes Sedai if he is to ever have a hope of becoming a warder.

That's perfectly fine.

Kira can teach the warder alone and well get an AS to teach the novice or if Kira wants to run it twic she an teach the novice.
