Okay Verb I got another question for you.

 

A couple of days ago, the general consensus between a few of the vocal players (including two now-confirmed townies) was that the top 4 suspects were you, Tiink, Krak, and Yates. And yet...

 

Fwiw, my top 3 are (part omgus and part tunneling scumtell):

Player because he's lurked through the game thus far. Not a good sign.

GF because I have no idea where he stands. He's got it for Yates right now, which is fine, but I feel like he's running interference by saying weird things and distracting.

And Tina is tunneling me. Makes me think you read into something I must have said and want me out of the game. Also, omgus!

 

 

I'm not giving all my reads.

N1: Wombat - meta reason as I play often with him, and he wasn't making as many flippant votes as I expected

N2: still alive, so not telling yet

N3: Darthe - wanted to confirm an active player who was making what seemed to be decent reads (he wasn't sure on me, which aligned with me trying to play a scummy cop)

I was hoping clever townies would remember me choosing to vote Hallia instead of DPR and then no longer voting Hallia....she was my N2 view. I was wondering if scum had lined up two scum lynches to skate one through...so I validated.

 

None of those other players are mentioned in either your viewings, OR your reads.

Why not view someone who's likely to be lynched soon, instead of Darthe who pretty much NO ONE was trying to fos at that point?

 

Without the N3 viewing of Darthe, I might actually have reason to semi buy your claim for a bit. But with it, I just can't see you honestly being the Cop.

Fact is, your answers haven't really satisfied me today. And your play has far from satisfied me this game. And those viewings really do look way too convenient.

You're either twisting my words or not understanding what I'm saying. If someone's play isn't satisfactory in my eyes, then I'm still going to distrust them. If their play satisfies my scumdar, then I won't keep quite as close of an eye on them.

 

I'm not the be-all end-all standard for mafia play. I was speaking in terms of my own personal judgement. If someone's not up to par, I'll pay special attention to them.

Fair question. My answer is I didn't want Darthe lining up lynches for the remainder of the game if he was scum. He's a tempo player, and he was in rhythm....those people need to be viewed when they are up tempo like that. If I didn't and he was scum, he could have walked us right off a cliff before we starting doubting.

Could either be wifom in case he does flip scum (ie people wouldn't trust the viewing on you and perhaps lynch you), or he could be trying to clear a scumbuddy. Don't buddy up to him just because he claimed a viewing on you. The N2 viewing on you I can kind of see, since you were the other competing train. The N1 viewing irks me a bit, but w/e. The N3 viewing just doesn't sit well with me at all.

I explained the Darthe viewing - we keep ninja'ing each other.

 

Wombat was simply meta. I had no major reads on D1, and he didn't come out of the gates in the way I'd expect. So I thought clearing him was prudent.

@Yates, when I am a cop I usually claim around D4 or so to at least give the town some info because otherwise.. Cops die with nothing gained or town gets boned.

 

4 chances means that on average the cop finds a mafia member, yet they likely haven't been NKd yet.

I'll do that as well if I have no guiltys and it would help narrow the lynch pool significantly.

Saying "I'll do that as well" instead of "I'd do that as well" could have either been a grammatical mistake, a slip, or a breadcrumb at a fake claim.

Oh jeez...I didn't notice that. Completely unintentional. I don't like to breadcrumb like that, but slips happen. :-/

Agreed. Who are your top four?

I feel like BOTH of Des/Tina is scum but not likely both. I'm currently leaning Des but that might be because I appreciated the backup from Tina re: GF being an enormous toolbag. Buddying doesn't work on me [usually the opposite - see above] but that seemed like a pro Town "stfu" post with a close deadline looming. The fact they were both on the Tiinker lynch makes it harder to parse. I just think Des is playing extremely opportunistic and Tina has been parroting a lot of his "thoughts" regardless of merit. Also, this whymefryme stuff is horse crap. I'm modding my first game ever and Town JUST went through that. This is the tail end of it where it is reduced to a sig bet, but I think you can see what I mean. I could probably point to 3 flailing Town for every flailing scum. Most often, the person pushing it is scum.

GF - just made the list by putting the cop at L-1 and "going to bed"
