Iris left Dm a while ago now, but it was not until recently that i was able to find out if she would be coming back. Unfortunately she will not be, or at least will not be playing Iris any time in the near future.

 

Because i hate lose ends and want to move on past this point in Owen's life i have come up with the following rp, let me know what you guys think and whether or not you want in on this.

Outline

 

Iris leaves the Stedding to visit her parents, in her bio iris never gave a location for her parent’s farm. So first question, where do we set this?

 

We arrive at the farm and find the building/s destroyed as if by a large explosion or several smaller ones. This does not necessarily have to be an explosion as such; the fire could have burnt so hot that the remains resemble an explosion. When we get there, Owen asks the ones with him to scout out the area for any signs of what has happened, trails leading away, anything that might explain what occurred here. Not finding anything that explains what has occurred, but finding a trail that leads to a nearby town/village, the group decide to go there and see if they can find out anything there.

 

When they arrive they decide to stay at the only Inn in the town/village and at first are welcomed and no mention is made of their appearance which they find refreshing and lower their guard. But, their questioning raises suspicions amongst the locals and their food/drinks are “doctored” and soon all of them pass out, awakening to find themselves in prison awaiting a fate they do not know.

 

An alternative to the above scenario could be this. The four of us enter the town/village and go to the only Inn. We have a meal and ask a few questions, but are met with hostility. Not totally open hostility, but enough for us to realise we are not welcome. After finishing up our meal and realising we will not get any help we leave and return to the remains of the farm. We camp out there and during the night are captured. This may sound a bit outlandish, as we would take turns on guard. But I suggest that this as a reason to explain our slackness. Owen is distracted by worry and tries to search for Ris in the Dream. Lorelai is distracted by thoughts of Karel. John is having nightmares about Mika’s return and the possibility he will have to eat her cooking again and Sosumo is dreaming of plumbing*rofl*

 

Second Question: Which of the above do you guys prefer?

 

Third Question: What would the local ppl do to them, after they had captured them and why?

 

Now this is the part where WintersMist comes in. She had a peddler who just so happens to be in the town/village and is not happy that innocent ppl find themselves imprisoned. When she hears that the locals intend to kill the Wolfkin she decides to help them escape.

 

Ok guys that is what I have so far, now it is up to you to help me flesh this out, ideas suggestions are welcome.

 

We have not rp’d as Rangers together for some time so I think this is a good outline for the four of us to get back together. Also this is a retro rp, so it takes place in the past and does not affect the current events as they stand now.

Seriously, if you need Dilora to do anything (she'd be a rather handy distraction feigning drunkeness or honey trap) and if all else fails, Dilora Fashelle can be The Transporter. Getaway driver extraordinaire, and can disguise you all as guards for her precious cargo. The wagon should hold a fair few, so I am open to suggestions of how you would like her to get involved. Dilora would definitely not tolerate captivity and cruelty, and would do her utmost to help free people, so tell me how she can help :)

I think I like the drugging idea better. Since it seems a little far fetched that a few locals will be able to overtake ALL of us...no matter how distracted we are. Overtaking one of us...I can believe that...if one of us wasn't paying attention...but not all of us. Nope.

 

About what will be done to us after we get imprisoned...well... we are darkfriends in their eyes, right? The classic approach would be to set us on fire to purge our souls and all that rubbish.... should be fun.

count me in bro. Either scenerio works for me I think it will be a fun rp. Perhaps we could set this some where around the north part of Ebou Dar. Maybe the townsfok keep the caged in a open square where things can be thrown at them? Maybe have them send for some CoL they know are camped not far off to deal with their prisioners?

great, count me in! I haven't played Sosumo in a while :)

 

umm... I RPed with Iris in the warders division as mercury and she was from Andor... but that doesn't really help much. Also Andor is sort of nearby, so home turf wouldn't lend itself to either situation... so as for where this is I'm gonna have to agree with Andular. I hear Ebou Dar is lovely this time of year.

 

dreaming of plumbing? is that a nice way to say I'm having a "pipe dream" *ROTFL* *serious face* ok back to business.

 

I think the drugging works better... there are many drugs that are odorless and tasteless than can knock out adult humans... whereas if we are captured we would have to be greatly outnumbered and completely surrounded, at which point most of us would probably be killed in the ensuing fight rather than captured... so I'm gonna go with the drugged scenario.

ummm.... I know it wouldnt be tactful since Owen is probably not happy about the prospect of Iris' death... but are we allowed to present theories on what happend? I wanted to check before I posted, because I wasnt trying to Dictate what happened, but building a TV "CSI" type theory in my mind in a post might be a tad pretensious of me and i wanted to know if i should edit beforehand.

Of course you can Ace, as long as they are only theories. I doubt Iris will ever return, but i think it would be unfair of us to kill her off without her say so. So theorise away :lol:
