Hello! My name is Scott Zanarky. I am a fairly new reader to the Wheel of Time series. I started in January 2012, and spent about 10 months reading all 13 books, then only had to wait a little bit for AMOL! Wheel of Time is definitely my favourite book series. I am a big fan of other Brandon Sanderson works, like Mistborn, Elantris, and Warbreaker. Really looking forward to seeing what he does with his Stormlight Archive series as well. I loved Way of Kings! Also a huge Game of Thrones fan, (both books and TV show).

Besides all that, I am a nature/macro photographer from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, just looking to have fun discussing Wheel of Time and many other topics as well!

Welcome, Scott! I started the series in 2011. Of course there are the book discussion threads but we also have many social groups and role playing groups. Look around and if you have any questions, just ask! I think you have a dream job. :-)

Welcome Scott / Zan / Narky?

Do you have a nickname you prefer? Narky makes me smile a little as that means a bit grumpy where I live. Perhaps Zan would be better.

I've been wondering what it would have been like to have been able to read the whole series through in one go. I've had to wait years as I've been reading it since almost the very beginning. I do have the Mistborn books too but never seem to find the time these days to actually sit down and read  I was given all of the SoFaI books too, but again no time - I am very much enjoying the tv show though.

So now that you have found us, what do you plan to do with us? We have our WoT dedicated discussion Board (aMoL is in it's own special Spoiler section at the moment) as well as our more general Discussion Board. There are some very varied and interesting Threads in there.

If you would just like to hang out with other WoT fans we have lots of Social Groups too - all of them a little different so there is bound to be one that suits. And if you want to be a bit more part of Randland you can even RP a bit? Do you ever write as well as take photos.

We are a friendly bunch so please do feel free to ask questions and we love to have new members :)

A dream job until you realise that it doesn't pay bills  . Actually, my real job is as a printing press operator. I just love photography as a hobby, and try to get outside whenever I can, weather permitting.

I've had Zan a couple times. I've had a lot of weird nicknames over the years, but nothing that truly stuck :).

Reading the whole series from start to finish was magical. At first you're not really sure what you're reading, and the task of reading such a massive series can be daunting, but then as soon as you're sucked in, you just keep with it. It was really hard to be done the series after that. I just put it down, and said to myself, "what do I do with my life now?!"

Just really here to talk about WoT and whatever else comes to mind. I'm no stranger to forums at all, although it's been a very long time since I've been a member of one.

I have written some poems, and I used to be a stronger writer. As I got into photography, that sort of stopped. The only good thing I ever really wrote is currently tattooed on my leg :D.

Thanks for the warm welcome both of you! I really appreciate it.

Well, if you have any questions, we are here.  My husband does photography in his spare time.  His dream job would have been a photographer for National Geographic.

Thank you kindly! Being a photographer for NatGeo would be one hell of an amazing experience. Hard work, and an expensive hobby of course, but you'd get to see a lot of really great places. I hope he enjoys his photography even if he doesn't quite get to that level.

He does. We have another friend who is into it as well. I'm into reading. :-)
