I just finished a Woodchuck Pumpkin, and will start another in a few minutes. That might be it for me; I just want enough to help me sleep tonight.

As of night 1, despo was not scum, EP

Just a caveat to this, after Tress flipped Cult Leader, I asked the mods for some clarification on particular things...

On N1, there was no answer as to whether Despo was Town or not. I didn't think anything of it until after her Lynch. Late last Night, I got the idea to ask the Mods if I would get a proper answer on them if they had been recruited, or if that messed with my action. I was told I'd get the answer that reflected people being recruited.

So, as of D2, he was not Cult.

Still wary of him. He's Despo. I will go through voting patterns and try to skim some of his stuff this weekend.

I'm gonna vote Red for now. I am perfectly willing to vote Razen (EP, I have way more of a scum vibe on him than on Kaylee), but I want him to talk first, and in the mean time, we'll use her wonderful idea of competing trains.

Now, time for Harry Potter.

BG's case on Red is pretty convincing. I think for now I will Vote Red, though I suppose I can change my vote to Razen later if it's necessary.

Are you still playing in this one?

not feeling good right now, and i've given up trying to do a catch up read on this, as i would have to go back to page 79 to do so. i'm starting from D5 and hope i can keep up. really shouldn't have agreed to be a replacement, so i apologize Kae and key for my lack of activity this past week.

you guys want to vote me out, fine. I'm Catlyn Stark, and a healer. i protected Despo last night. and i'll also point out the fast vote train on me as Verb pointed out the same on Razen

apparently Nights Watch is cult in this, makes me suspect EP again. i recall his early claim of "not aligned with Nights Watch" early in game and that struck me as odd then.

my gut still pings on BG and the thing with Darthe being a gambit.

as for my supposed slip, BG i had no clue that Darthe saying Gentry was in referrance to a character claim. now if he had said Gendry, then yes. make of that what you will.

also, Dice is still rubbing me wrong from earlier, and the JLM and Mish opportunistic thing on Night still sticks out like a sore thumb.

now if you excuse me. i'm going to go crawl in bed and die for the night. i got on thinking i could hold out and wait on the towels to get done in the wash to switch them over, but not so much.

Interesting development that is. Red, thanks for the protection, but, and I say this with love, PUT THE MINECRACK AWAY!!!

Mafia, especially this game, needs you more than that

Ftr, I actually thought BG's case on Red was fairly convincing, but now I think a lot of it came from her being a Minecraft obsessed skimmer

As for Razen, I have had him pegged as scum the entire game, and his silence for going on two days now has obviously done nothing to assuage my suspicions. Basel's NA on him is just icing on the cake for me.

Vote Razen

This is also a great lynch for us, as not only do I think Razen is scum, but this will pretty much clear Basel, who I had my doubts about, and give us some info on those that were trying to stall Razen's lynch (Verb, BG, and Cyan; altho BG did seem to genuinely think he had something on Red)

EP was not recruited. Sorry to burst your bubble, des.

I was actually thinking about this earlier. Mr. Snow, you said EP was not recruited, but do you know whether or not he started the game out as Cult? If not, my theory could still stand.

Something else I saw when looking at the players still alive, was that Tress's role flipped as Cultmaster. The fact that it's "Cultmaster" and not "Cult Leader" or "Cult Recruiter" really makes me think I'm onto something with that theory that EP started off as cult alongside Tress.

EP, can you just go ahead and say whether or not you started out the game as town?

Oh look, another player who looks like he will always be wary of me for no reason

And Harry Potter? Bleurgh...

Minecraft is only part of whats drawing my attention away. admittedly, its more the elections at this point given voting is less than 2 weeks away. epsecially with benghazi.

Ishy, Minecraft is a wonderful game that is very addicting. its a great big sandbox to dig in (literally) you mine for ores (gold, timber, coal, precious metals) destroy shit, kill shit and build shit. theres a small quest that you can do internally, but mainly its just about doing whatever you want with no pressure or goal

http://minecraft.net/

you can play online for free there for about 1 hour & 45 minutes to see if you like it. and you can buy the game either online or at Best Buy/Walmart for $27 bucks.

its a great game. much better than Simcity, though its alot liek it aspect wise (Simcity, not the the "play as a human" style they have now)

really Despo, youre gonna talk like that about H. and to think i protected you last night!!

I'm mostly just giving Ed grief. I'm glad the series got a lot of kids interested in reading again, I just hate hearing it held up to the all time greats in fantasy. It's a good story, and it does get a lot more mature as it goes on I've heard, but it still can't hold a candle to the epic fantasy greats imo.

Guess I'm just a hipster I 'spose

okay, have you actually tried to read any of the later books in the series or are you just judging based on the movies??

i agree, that holding it up to the likes of Narnia, WoT or Hobbit is a bit extreme. but in the classification of Juvenile Literature, its top of the pile dude. i mean, we're not talking about Twilight here

though i am currently reading "50 Shades Darker" sequel to "50 Shades of Grey" and that did apparently start off as a Twitard fanfic. you can tell by her pose and dialuage capabilities. but the story is interesting and the main character is very likable. even though i can't relaly say i like this book. most romances, even erotic ones liek this, deal with taking the female character and building her up into a strong dominate self sustaining woman that one can admire and like. much like my grief with Twilight, this books takes a somewhat strong independant woman and gets her totally smitten with a man who then causes her to lose her individual self identity, breaks down her independance and strength and makes her become reliant on him.

not something an female should take as a "how too" or as something to look up to for relationships. not to mention. i find myself not really liking Christian as a character all that much. i want to like him, even have sympathy for him. but as i'm an independant woman and rather stubborn and rebuke that type of control, i find myself resenting him and finding him rather distasteful.

Movies and what others have told me about it

Oh yeah, I would never say that it's as awful as Twilight.

I'm actually glad you brought this up. I was just talking to Niki earlier about a recent trend in pop literature that has bothered me. I'm reading the Hunger Games trilogy right now, and something really annoyed me.

Let's be honest here. A big part of the reason the Hunger Games, Twilight, and other series (Mistborn for one) got the recognition and popularity they did is because they have a female protagonist, which is uncommon in fantasy.

What bothers me is that these books really don't feature this narrative that is that progressive really. Even tho these female protagonists are generally displayed as strong women, they're still highlighting their love interests as being the main part of the storyline. In Twilight's case this is somewhat more excusable, since the novels are obviously part of the budding vampire romance genre. But in the Hunger Games it just feels stupid.

In the midst of this backdrop of war, uprising, suffering, and general calamity, the center of the story still pretty much revolves around the love triangle between Katniss, Peeta, and Gale. WTF?! Who cares about who she cares about more? There's a freaking REVOLUTION going on!!!

Even series like the GoT fall prey to this. Anyone here read Dance with Dragons? Daenerys went from being this extremely bold, independant leader of her people, to being some sop who only has eyes for the bad guys. What the hell, modern writers? Y U TRY TO SET BACK WOMAN'S ISSUES SO MUCH?
