Hey my lovable Kinsters!! I love the Holiday Season!

Pull up a chair, have some cocoa or spice tea..and of course christmas cookies...*grins* even fruit cake if you wish!!! Stop for a bit and hear a story or test your holiday knowledge!!!

I will post stories and legends I know...I hope you will too!! And *giggles and bounces* I have a holiday trivia game...over 1800 questions!!! How many do you think we can get through?

Here's six to start us off...

What Chicago museum features Christmas trees from around the world?

What musical aspect of Christmas did Victorians save from obscurity?

In Frosty the Snowman, who brought Frosty back to life?

What New Year's poem that became a song did Robert Burns write in 1788?

Wo lost $8,000 in It's a Wonderful Life?

Who wrote the Messiah?

*grins, sipping hot chocolate and waits for answers and sings....*

It's Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas

Heya Twinnie... nice post... :)

I'll guess on the first question... Being from near Chicago, I'm gonna guess the Museum of Science and Industry, though don't think I've ever heard of that... lol. We used to go down to Marshall Fields and eat lunch at the Walnut Room near the huge Christmas tree they have there every year. Was a little tradition.

The other one I'll guess is the New Year's poem question... Auld Lang Syne?

*rubs her hands together* Ok...

Handel wrote the Messiah. ;) Get that before Ben does. LOL

I haven't seen Frosty in a while, but I think it was the bunny that brought him to life. Well, he brought the kids the hat, anyway. ;)

I'm still thinking about It's a Wonderful Life, because I don't remember who lost $8000. This is very sad, since I love that movie... lol

*hugs Ursuala, grins, pours a cuppa and hands a slice of fruitcake*

Ok you guys...the museum is right, as is the caroling, and Handel and the Messiah.

It was Uncle Billy Lor....rememer he lost it and Potter found it....and as for Frosty? Well..the hat brought him to life...but after the evil magician..it was my hero, SANTA that brought Frosty back to life!!!!

*grins* Ok here is round two....

What parade was first held on January 1, 1886?

Typically, a winner of what Swedish prize is the presenter of the crowning of Santa Lucia?

In A CHarlie Brown Christmas, what song do the characters end the show singing?

What kind of Christmas Eve was it when Santa asked Rudolph to guide his sleigh?

What was the first holiday the inn was open in the movie Holiday Inn?

In Miracle on 34th Steet, Kris Kringle know the condition of what on Christmas morning?

*grins and pours out hot chocolate and cuts up more fudge* [/i]

ok let's see how you do with these...*grins*

Each of these is a common Christmas Carol or saying..can you figure them out?

1. Move hitherward teh entire assembly of those who are loyal in thier belief.

2. Listen, the celestial messengers produce harmonious sounds.

3. Nocturnal timespan of unbroken quietness.

4. An emotion excited by the acquisition or expectation of good given to the terrestrial sphere.

5. Embellish the interior passageways.

Well? *giggles and hands out popcorn balls*
