Did anyone else know this is going to be the last season?? I didn't till I watched craig ferguson the other night. Sad days. To me.

that's ok with me

it gives me a reason to finally watch the show

I don't like watching shows that haven't ended yet usually

Yes it is being canceled after this season.

I hear what everyone is saying though. The format seems tired and overdone. I still like it though and watch it every Monday. Of course I just discovered the show a year or so ago so the format still seems fresh to me.

Oops. My bad. Didn't realize there was a thread on it already. :]

But yeah...I don't know. I guess I'm a sucker for long running shows like this. I've been watching since I was...Idk, 18 I think. Probably sad, but I get sentimental about shows ending sometimes and this is one of them. I was the same way with Stargate SG-1 and Smallville lol.

The way that every episode ends with House having an epiphany that solves his case is what's getting old in my opinion. The rest of the show moves forward with new stuff quite regularly. So just cut out the diagnostic part of the plot and people wouldn't be getting so bored =D

You just described 80% of the shows on TV. CSI (all 3), NCIS (2), Law and Order (all 15), Bones, Castle, Hawaii 5-0, The Mentalist, White Collar, etc. The reason procedural dramas work is they are basically stand alone episodes. If you miss one you can catch up next week. House is procedural but I find the characters to be very rich and thus I enjoy it.

It was to the point I was sitting there guessing what the actors would say the disease would be. SARCOIDOSIS! SYPHYILLIS( What Emp has by the way)! Half the time I was right.

House said that about me 15 minutes in. Of course they are treating me instead of confirming because it is faster. Wait till 50 minutes in when House is talking to someone and storms out, then you know he has found out what is wrong with me.

Which is why I don't watch any of those shows!! With the exception of NCIS. I have to admit it's gotten pretty stale this season, but when they have some good connected plots going on, it's a pretty good show. When they get into the hum drum stand alone episodes that it doesn't matter if you miss, gets boring.

Sadly, I will greatly miss House, mainly because I will miss the characters =*(
