I don't think she's BACKPEDALING, per se. I'm pretty sure she's been pretty consistently saying she MIGHT have caught him in a lie...from the first post.

Just saying.

All I'm saying is that I believe I caught BG in a lie. Maybe I haven't. It's a mistake on my part, I suppose.

I apologize for reacting in that manner.

Now you're backpedaling? WTH?

I had a plan, but it appears it has backfired. If you need me to explain, I will, but I feel it unnecessary for now.

And I apologize for confusing your gender.

I got ninja'd that time too, Meesh. I don't think the points against BG are really relevant at this point. An uncountered Finder claim takes precedence, to me. If he isn't the Finder, kudos to our real finder for staying hidden. However, I think he is our real finder, and Levity is at the top of my list for scum atm. Everyone voting for BG is on that list, actually.

No, you don't have to explain. I think you should, but you don't have to. What does everyone else think?

And thanks.

Exactly.

I might have, but I may be unfamiliar with certain mechanics yet. /: In fact, I might have blundered due to my lack of DM mafia knowledge.

Perhaps he isn't lying. I might have misunderstood a rule.

Oh?

And if BG turns up mafia, where does that put you?

Posted

If BG turns up mafia, i'll have to rethink that, obviously. But I'm so not willing to lynch a claimed Finder day 2.

Posted

For myself, I'd like to know what Levity's claiming went on here...maybe we could shed some light on the situation if it's DM mechanics that threw her off.

Well, I can't argue with "I believe him," but I do just want to stress how his actions in this game have been very inconsistent with his finder claim.... If he's finder, he played D1 VERY clumsily, and I'm just not buying that.

Bolding mine. This I agree with.

Second part, well, we'll see how it plays out, eh? If I'm wrong, you have "I-told-you-so" rights for the next 3 games we're in

You know, I'm getting heavy townvibes from you.

Perhaps I need to re-think something. I have a question that I need answered, but I don't know how I can ask it. unvote: BG, only for now. I don't like how he voted for himself and his constant complaining (sorry if that's harsh), but his reactions are different from what I thought they would be. My strategies heavily differ from what you're probably used to, and, uh... if I made the misunderstanding that I think I might have made, my entire argument is moot.

I think it is important for the town to understand what you were cooking to accuse me of Lev considering you were so enthusiastic about it and it backfired anyway... My whole day 1 backfired and I came clean.

I'm really tempted to fully claim only because of this /:

but I feel that isn't a viable excuse

Loki, your mad because I narrowed the pool of people I checked to less than everybody but didn't pinpoint someone in particular. I REALLY don't see how that gives the scum an advantage or great pool of people to choose from any different than if I said nothing. Also, as I said, I could have been manipulated via Tailor role, Godfather role, Bus Driver, etc. If I were someone on the mafia team trying to deal with me my thoughts would be as follows, "BG's made himself an excellent lynch target. He'd be a waste of a NK. Let's not kill him, but leave him alive for the town to take out, then let's mess with his findings and if he reveals any, people will assume it is a lie until he dies. If he doesn't, people will think it is a cop out. Either way, we can make a decent case to make his lynch."

If I don't reveal anything at all, it is a cop out. If I reveal specifically who without consensous from the town, I've either created a target for the mafia or inadvertantly "vetted" a mafia player via manipulation of results. I will not be a party to that.

As for growing a pair, nothing was going to really stop my lynch yesterday short of a roleclaim. But roleclaiming Finder on Day 1 makes me essentially a walking WIFOM to be used and manipulated as we now see. I don't want to be that for town. I had hoped to do it in a manner which MIGHT be noticed and obstain my lynch from happening without having to outright declare Finder. If I had been noticed, I'd have been NK'd and it would be over, if not, I might have been useful in being able to gather info for a few days. Currently we are in the worst case scenario. Scum basically get a free lynch off of me. So whetever.

And Levity, what the heck are you talking about? "A certain something" I didn't mention? If you are trying to trap me in something, I've got nothing to add to what I said concerning my NA right now, cause I've given it to you already other than an actual name.

... how can you not see the diffeence that makes. it makes the whole of your night action post an oxymoron.

"im not going to tell you whos innocent, but here is a small list of people who are innocent. here you go mafia, just pick from that, it is xmas after all" it means that the mafia dont even have to think about the night kill, as you just handed it to them on a plate, but if you dont reveal, any town roles that could protect them have two many to choose from. and you keep saying, that whatever you did wouldnt have made a difference? are you not actually reading what im saying? if you had chosen to leave it at 15-17 possibles, the mafia have to do more work and choose someone who doesnt point to them. yes it sounds a bit like a cop out but its not helping the scum. if you give a name, it means that the mafia have to wifom over whether they will be protected , hence more work for them. what you did was basically the only way you could help the mafia. and you cant see why thats making me vote for you? still?

and if you have to claim, claim. hinting at a role to stop a lynch ..just .. its just scummy.

and i think we all know this is a kitchen sink game and something could have happened to your supposed night action, im not sure why your saying that at all, its kinda a given

Well, all right, but if I ask about it here, it requires a claim

and I have to run to class now so I'll get back to you on that later

I'll take you up on that. Whoever's right gets to wave it around proudly at the other for the next 3 games. Deal.

Probably going to get uber-ninja'd while I post this.... (I accidentally read it right the first time, then read it wrong while I was replying, then read it right for real, finally XD)

This arguement still doesn't make sense for me. Its circular. If I'm gonna get lynched, I'm going to reveal the person anyway cause I'm not going to die with the only info I have. So there's that. If I were mafia, then it wouldn't make any sense to "narrow" the pool down to "help the scum" by creating a nice pool of people to choose from and free NK's all around and Merry Christmas and whatnot and so forth. To want to help the scum have a free NK pool, I'd need to be scum by definition... but then we go back to that not being helpful at all for the scum team. Saying the group gives the Doc a more likely chance than saying nothing at all. Saying the specific person has its ups and downs considering the potential manipulative possibilites, so I asked town what they thought.

Dang computer, I did NOT click on that with my tap-pad....

ANYway, as I was trying to type before I got redirected (>.<).

I can definitely see what's fishy with Levity. She's coming off as sincere to me, but that's mostly just vibes and we have to wait to get more info anyway.

I hate to keep bringing this word up, but everything around BG is just very convenient. I mean...like I just said, I can see why she looks fishy. However, I do think it's nice that BG no longer thinks he's a walking WIFOM better off dead and would rather vote someone who may have legitimately misunderstood something and is willing to back off BG for the time being until she knows what she's talking about....

Further adds to the WIFOM, in my opinion. Is Levity really mafia who was trying to get BG lynched and then realized she may have messed up and doesn't have a ready-made alternate attack? Or is she sincere about this whole thing, and BG's just jumping on the first chance he has to vote for someone other than himself and can reasonably expect a following?

(Also, haven't mentioned this before, but the possibility of Levity and BG being on a team together HAS crossed my mind--gambit of sorts. Like to believe this isn't the case and that it's either/or or neither at the moment, but it's a possibility XD)

Totally gonna get ninja'd this time, I'm calling it. XD

Self voting seems to be classic irritated-person-thing around here. Seen several people do it, mafia and town both. Total null-tell, to me.
