Saidin + Saidar + Dark One = No sane channeler?

I like the idea of all of the one power being used up in the sealing, leaving no one able to channel. That would put the WOT back to the beginning of our current age, and with time the OP will recover and people will begin to be able to channel again, leading us to the age of legends.

Perhaps Rand will find a way to use the OP to gather all the threads in the pattern that are missing at the bore and put them back in place blocking the DO from the pattern.

Choedan Kal are gone. There were hundreds of thousands of channelers during the AoL, and they knew how to make angreal back then. They even had ter'angreal with standing flows.

There are 7 Ages, so they won't be back to our Age.

Edit: Also, RJ planned the outriggers. I bet they included channeling. Not as much fun without.

He planned outriggers involving characters that don't use the one power, and i'm not saying that the very next age would be our age, but it would lead to our age not having the one power. I'm not sure how long it would take for the one power to recover, but when it does that would lead to another age of legends...

I've been thinking in those lines as well. If the whole of the One Power become useless, meaning people go xrazy from using it (both Saidin and Saidar tainted) och it is simply unavailable from being used up to undo the bore or something similar, then that could be the start of the ages that we live in, the "IRL Age".

Plus, if no channelers are around, then there is no one to make a new bore.

As well try and kill the DO and the Creator than use up the OP.

It is, to be blunt, impossible.

Using the Chodean Kal (both) Rand and Nynaeve didnt come close to it. The female CK is stronger than the whole white Tower using all the angreal and sa'angreal together. Thats just the female.

With the Chodean Kal, there is no way to, not that there ever was, use up the OP.

Channeling isnt going to be forgotten either. Several viewings and the "great battle done, but world not done with battle" thing with the "guardians balancing the Servants" makes it pretty clear that OP will exist.

Oh, while I am at it, the wheel wont be broken either. Pretty much confirmed in Rj interviews.

"guardians balancing the Servants"

Hijacking my own thread a bit and going off Topic: Guardians, as in Far Madding Ter'Angreal (and in extension the Steddings?) balancing the Servants (Aes Sedai meaning Servants of All or something in the old tounge).

Guardians meaning Asha'man in the old Tounge. Aes Sedai meaning Servants of all.

Frankly, I like everyone's ideas in this thread, and I would be happy if the series ended in any of the ways mentioned here. TP/Fain/Weaving of actual threads (people)/Filling the Prison with the OP and thus removing it from use for many Ages/Treesinging. All cool theories.

In my mind, the "3 become 1" is a major part of all of this. I think it means either Saidin/Saidar/TP OR it means the Three Ta'veren somehow using their ta'verenness to re-weave threads or force the Pattern to "heal" or correct itself where the Bore currently is.

Good stuff people.

No One Power or Tainted saidin or saidar means most of the main and second tier characters dying soon after the Last Battle. I really don't see Jordan planning such an ending, given his extreme reluctance to kill any important character.

Indeed, putting aside evidence that it is pretty much impossible and viewings etc of channeling still existing, it would be completely pointless.

It would make 3/4 of the series pointless.

Rand trying to make male channelers accpeted in society.

Egwene's whole arc.

Aes Sedai working with Asha'man. Men working with women.

Aes Sedai being "fixed".

The whole Wise One, Windfinder, Aes Sedai pact in ToM would be for nothing.

Seanchan empire with damane would be useless.

It would ruin everything.

Besides, it is already confirmed in Min's viewings that it wont happen. Look at Aviendha's children. They will be born holding the source etc. That was the strange thing she saw. Mins viewings are not wrong.

Sorry, it may seem a little agressive, but the whole OP being lost and the wheel being broken is so annoying.

I don't think the the 3/1 is about the actual "undoing" of the bore. It might be important leading up to the event or something like that, but saidar/saidin/TP can't be used when "touching" the DO. The TP used at SG will fry you instantly, and the DO can deny you permission to use it.

(The DO is a god, equal to the Creator. Smarter, faster, stronger, and more cunning than any humans.)

As well try and kill the DO and the Creator than use up the OP.

I agree 100%.

oh, i thought you were asking me what I meant.

Well, even though I am pretty sure it means Asha'man, your theory isnt dead. It could be, I have no idea. But i would say it meant Asha'man
