At least one person has had their account accidentally disabled this week because I saw a spam thread from the index and I went after the last person who posted before I looked at the thread. It's a pain in the butt for both of us if I do this. So if you see spam, ignore it. The mods are pretty quick about removing it.

 

And also don't respond if you see some moron respond to a spam thread because he doesn't know what it is. Your samurai like self discipline in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Ah, OK, sorry. I thought mockery was an appropriate response, but I can see now how it might makes things difficult for mods.

Sure, but I've seen spam threads that would have been annoying turned into fun, free-form, open comment threads, on other forums.

 

And at least one where the thread was used to organize some vigilante justice for the spammers.
